Excellent rant Michael. The most valuable thing I've learned from your teachings is to pass races. "It's not the bad beats, it's the bad bets" that will get you.
Watched it last evening but was a little distracted. I will watch it again shortly. I always learn something from your videos. If only pass a race. The money I waste on the races I should pass is more money to increase the bets on the value races. Thank You Michael.
Thanks for the kind words about the video. You're exactly right about eliminating the weak bets and save that capital for the good value opportunities.
You're very realistic in that you save people time from trying to beat vulnerable favorites. After all, if you cannot eliminate well backed money with confidence, you have no advantage. I do think that some of your VC lines are too ambitious. Practically speaking, who has time to wait for the animal that should be 4-1 but is going off 9-1 or above?
Thanks for the insightful comment, Joel. Yes, some of the 'target' prices on overlays can seem high, but they're not done by a fixed formula. So, the stronger the horses above a potential overlay, any negative factors on that potential overlay, the higher the price I'll require. OTOH, a vulnerable favorite on top, a potential favorite with extras, I'll accept a smaller overlay.

Thanks so much, Brad, and that's exactly right: It's a simple thing, but not always easy to implement. Thanks for watching and for your kind words!
Thanks for these videos I always look forward to them.
Thanks so much for the kind words!
Michael, always a pleasure to listen to your analysis. Thank you for informing rather than trying to impress.
Thanks, Edna, really appreciate your comment about information and analysis vs. well, other stuff :)
I love listening to his analysis. It goes down smoothly and easy to understand. Keep up the great work.
Gary, thanks for watching and for your kind words!
Thumbs up for another great video on value betting and thumbs up to all the fantastic comments from those horseplayers that "get it !"
