    Well done, you can clearly see what showing us, he's calm, gets right to the point, and doesn't over talk it! Nice!

    When that tip broke off I knew it was a check the internet procedure. You were not going to pry it out or shake it out and it will fall apart in a million pieces even if you do figure out how to take it apart. This covered all the bases. Thank you.

    I really appreciate the video I thank you and the crew.
    I just purchased a new Milwaukee and out of the box the spring was clocked backwards with the video I was able to correctly install the part instead of returning to Home Depot.

    Your directions were a lot more concise then the other example, in his because he didn't identify which way was the proper direction for the barrel lock to be put on it was
    cauise for a lot of fustration , I finally figured it after several goes at it, then putting on the lock ring was another headache didn't know it had to be split and then applied into the retainer groove. Thanks.

    Thanks! Getting the retaining ring off and then on again is the hardest part! Very clear and concise.

    That was awesome, both demos! I wish I had a shop complete with the wire brush buffer, (If I had the tools and projects requiring all the equipment) cause I shoulda gone into automotive field. I am a mechanical and electronics assembler with 30+ years experience. I am going to be using a sawzall in my new job, so I'm researching about that tool, as I have yet to operate and maintain one. Nice workmanship. Sounded so helpful and pointed out each critical detail. Good sounding diction as well as choice of words.

    This is the 2nd video I"ve
    watched that quickly
    glosses over the
    hardest part,getting
    the retaining ring off.
    Haven't even got a good LOOK at it!Is it a solid ring
    or is there a small gap?

    I snapped a blade off right up to the nubbin and couldn't get the broken end out. I used your video for takedown info. After watching it, I took one more stab at removing the rem and was successful. Kinda funny because I got the tool for free because the original owner did the same thing, then gave up and threw it in the corner. I thought he was a dummy to break a blade off in there. The taste of crow is always the same, bitter.

    excellent video , save me hours and what left of my hair from trying to figure out how to put it together. I might add , though : at the end, to ease putting on the lock ring , slide the end of the ring into the groove first then gently press down and around the groove to fit.

    I need to see one on a porter cable20 v lithium ion Sawzall. Parts are more complicated. Mine broke apart so I don't know how the new parts go back together.

    I guess my sawzall is older.. It uses an allen screw from the side to change the blade. It's slow and annoying and always comes loose after a minute or two of work. Wish I could change it to a twist lock style.

    Hi sir, I have a hackzall reciprocating saw and often times the chuck stuck up the blade so I have to twist it back and fort many times to luckily unlock the blade, is this why you are changing the chuck? If so, does the chuck of the hackzall and sawzall the same? I Really appreciate if you'll answer me, thank you.. (sorry for the bad English)

    I wish mine was that easy! I have a 6517-20 and mine does not have the retaining ring/clip. I've had it for about 20 years. Do you know if they ever made the blade holder with a different method of R&R?

    • @mmtoolparts
      @mmtoolparts  6 років тому

      That's a great question! Unfortunately we haven't made a video on the 6517-20 but we'll add it to our list for the future.

      Same here I have the 6509-21 and there is no retaining clip, almost looks like the shaft needs to be removed and everything slides down. Let me know if you found a video and part for yours. Thanks :)

  • @ทําง่ายให้ยากชาแนล

    Thank a lot.sir your clip is so useful.

    It seems that the real culprit in this replacement is the locking pin. I wonder if there is a recall on this wearable part? Seems like a design flaw in the grade of metal used here. I guess they need to keep the money coming in after sales support. Someone has to keep the CEO rich!

    Have the 6509-21 and there is no retaining clip (that I can see) it appears that the shaft must be removed and everything slides down???? If you come across this post a few lines explaining how this disassembles would be great :) Would you happen to know the replacement part number package number as well? Thanks

    • @Gyva02
      @Gyva02 6 років тому

      It appears from the site www.ereplacementparts.com/milwaukee-650921-ser-962c-sawzall-parts-c-131_5093_7258.html that the newer replacement package (#14-46-1011) is used on this older model as well. Here is a You Tube video of a guy that disassembled his 6509-21 and I guess it does all release from the top once you get that pin out. I cant double link I think but the video to see that is watch?v=0oSDADuWbRM. Also the SER# on the replacement website is the first 3 or 4 digits of your serial number, mine happened to start with 962C Hopes this helps anyone else out there with an older model

      Hey! Thanks for your question - have you checked out the parts diagram for the 6509-21? This shows how it assembles and lists all the part numbers: bit.ly/2DvoT3t If this doesn't help, let us know! We'll get back to you as quick as we can. 😀
