Hajar Alshaali the air bubbles would've popped when out of water with that much force being tiny. But I think it was salt that the water didn't absorb completely, that ran down the strawberry catching on to the water. And when ur moved back an fourth I think age turned it.

I mean think of it this way. She had those strawberries in the water for half an hour and it just got some bugs on the surface, probably not all either. I don't think most people wash their fruits for half an hour, they just rinse them and wipe them. So most fruit we it probably has some bugs on it even at the best of times and humans have survived just fine so far. Not to mention, the bugs are microscopic.
