I just realized - is that why women go to the same salons all the time? I know it’s comforting to know the people altering your appearance are familiar and competent, but isn’t there also some aspect of belonging to the same ‘female space’ club, where you feel special? You get to have your nails done, your hair done, your make-up done, your fashion haunts where you’re made to feel special, etc., while men *never have a single person touch them* unless it’s in a way that brings guilt or in barber macholand once a month. True equality does not exist. And equality doesn't mean strength it means equal opportunity and a fair playing field. Pull yourself up from the bootstraps is just a toxic talking point. No one, and I mean literally no one gets anywhere in this world without the help of others. And the fact that there is a huge mental health crisis with males of all ages, especially Gen X in this country, the expectations that are put on men are too much. Traditional patriarchy and toxic masculinity is just as detrimental to men as it is women. And we can think unfettered capitalism for that. Not feminism. But that's not to say there is no such thing as toxic feminism, because there is. Men are not our enemy. But some women look at them as such. Those are really the women we're talking about here.

I think the patriarchy is an utter myth. I'd like to see some older women explain the roles men and women traditionally and for most part happily took. The data from the biggest egalitarian experiment ever taken on earth - Norway's complete approach to equality in their society for many years -shows quite clearly how when given the choice both males and females chose to pursue what would be considered traditional male/female careers.

Men cannot empathize with childbirth/menstruation/breastfeeding/menopause and the toll it takes on a woman's body ...rape can be experienced by both ..but the consequences of it ,be it the pregnancy from it or the social backlash cannot be comprehended by a man ...

Assume a guy gets raped by a girl, what social backlashes does he face? Perhaps nothing much I assume might be your answer?
Answers depends on the guy.
Case 1: He goes to police station to file a case that he was raped. Imagine the laughter he will get, or more likely, he will probably be in jail for raping the girl.
Case 2: He will be a subject of joke and mockery among his friends, etc. Girls (or guys too) think girls are weak, right? Imagine a guy being raped by weak (as girls are weak, then guys must be opposite to weak …i.e. strong).
There are more cases we can think of.
Honestly, I am a guy, though I won't be defending a guy over a girl or vice versa in general. I am not defusing the real victims here. My family and I have been homeless for 6 years until last year. With my mother and younger sister (females) on streets in our country (from your name I assume you are Indian as well). I was like a watch man at night to my family as there were many drunk homeless guys around where we slept, due to the fear of 'you know what' I didn't sleep at night and pretty much was nocturnal.
I am not aware if you are one of those who call themselves Feminist, as a guy I did a lot of research on how to make girls safe (my family here) I didn't understand how were females weak? Laws, society, politics, even guys, will take the sides of females over males.
During homelessness, I used to study nature, most importantly animals and stuff. In most species, females are stronger than males (reason I thought of was they pretty much did most of the physical work, thus they continued to evolve to be stronger as compared to lazy males)
Ants, Bees, are some examples here.
For human girls, as girls mostly didn't do the physical works in the past much as compared to males. Males continued to become physically strong (these are just my assumption, and I am not aware if this is true or not).
Most Feminists I have heard deny he need of males, even nature doesn't agree with this, as both are IMO equally important.
I agree with Feminists ideals of Equality, but I disagree with the approach as it will not make things equal but will rather make females > males if the ideals work and not females = males. If females become stronger than males, then you will see Meninist pretty soon enough (or is it started already?) and this cycle will continue until the end of this subject.

What an awful world we are living in. When I met my wife she was 21 & I was 33, we build a relationship on trust, honesty, loyalty, respect and common interests, financial or materialistic things were never mentioned or even considered. You're a great man then. My mother is expected to do everything for my father. Sure he provide for us, and my mom want to at least earn money to be able to buy stuff she wants instead of involving my dad. But he doesn't allow her to have her own bank account or do online working. He doesn't earn much and we have our needs besides food.

She's 90+ years old, smokes and now relies on my family (her brother's side of the family tree) to help her get to her chemo, and everywhere else she needs to go. So it's sad for both her and us because on her side, she doesn't have anybody to help her consistently and constantly, but it's also sad for us because while we want to help her, we also have our lives to deal with, and so it becomes problematic.

My wife and myself are totally equal we pool our resources it doesn't matter who 'earns' more yes I'm back to working more hours and providing more cash but my wife picks up the home makes sure everything is done for two girls we both 'work' the same amount of hours it's just the majority of my work is done outside the home where the majority of my wife's work is down at home...

It's hilarious when it comes to correcting someone and debunking their statements. I've done this time and time again with people going on about something that's false or incorrect. I'm not being "mean" I'm trying to help a person to not look stupid and help them get the correct facts, I'm a helpful person and always have been. Even I appreciate it when I get something wrong and someone corrects me on it. It's called learning and being able to take on criticism. The problem nowadays, they just listen to one person, believe that person and not bother looking up any studies, no reading into it, no questioning it or not looking into both sides of the story. When it came to learning about/being told about feminism in my late teen years, it didn't take long for me to learn its all a bunch of utter crap... Yeah, we should somewhat be equal (although, what does that truly mean?), but we already have equal rights in the western society and why are they trying so hard to be like men? I don't want to be viewed the same as a man and be treated like a man. Men and women are two different energies, both biologically different, it's not sexist, it's just facts, it's not bad, it's good! I just want to be valued, appreciated and treated like a human being. Which I already have and I appreciate it. I may not be equal to my partner, because we both have different strengths and roles, but we both play our parts in this relationship that makes the relationship work so well. He's not equal to me in ways either, he recognizes I can do some things better than him or he can't do. Just like I can't do some of the stuff he can do easily. I guess, the love, appreciation and commitment we have for each other is the only thing that we're equal in? I don't know. Maybe I take this "equal" word and it's definition too seriously. 😅
