What a rant. So we Honda guys should look elsewhere. That’s not fair. We all know the problems. But we look to people like you for solutions. Chalo. You guys have decided to become a part of the problem and not the solution by denying owners of old and beautiful Hondas a chance of restoration or restomoding. It’s not that sad really. It’s just plain disappointing and pathetic. Sorry but not sorry.
Not only Honda.. All companies do this.. Bike companies like Bajaj, ktm does this...
I own a 2009 Honda Jazz and I too have experienced this with Honda but I had guts to ask the Service Centre to give me in writing that they won’t sell spares to the direct customer for repairs outside. Finally they agreed and I have been buying stand-alone spare parts from authorised Service Centre and getting my car repaired outside. Customer needs to be aware about their rights

This is high handedness on the part of Honda. They will slowly lose out in the competition in the long run.
They must be empathetic about the sentiments of the Indians customers.
The company service centers charges are quite steep and at times become unaffordable, be it body work or mechanical works. They charge fully for the replaced parts n don't return the old parts for reasons best known to them.
They should adopt a change in the policy n sell the spares in the open market.
Are the parts very expensive when you buy from them?

Bro, I have been watching your channel for a long time; I like your core competency regarding work and ethical behaviour with staff which makes sense.
In Canada it is exactly the opposite. The dealership's are bound to give parts no matter what. They have no right to question you. Sad this is not the case in India and honest people like you have to take the brunt of it.!
atleast honda provides engine related parts brands like vw,skoda,ford also dont provides that but somehow after leaving india ford has increased supply of spares in aftermarket
Because in countries like Canada and US, a lot of people know how to do basic repair and maintenance of their cars. In India, just to change oil you have to go to either a workshop or service centre where they take thee whole day to change the engine oil of your car...and if you're not paying attention, most of them would even steal bolts, rubber pads from your car.
Granted most people don't have time to change their car's oil themselves but agar aap ek car enthusiast ho, to apko utna maintenance to at least khud se karna ana chahiye. And no, you don't need a car lift for that. If your car has enough ground clearance for a person to get underneath it, you can change your engine oil yourself.
Baki customers ka mai samajhta hun ki they need to take their cars into workshop for little issues. But ye jo khud ko car enthusiasts bolte hai, inhe at least basic maintenance aani chahiye khud se karne.

Yahi Jo log har baat pe apni cars ko workshop me le jate hai, to car companies ko isme opportunity dikhi ki chalo spares ki monopoly shuru kar do. And to implement it, all they have to do is pay some money to the government and they'll make a law for it, safeguarding theis monopoly
That's Why Maruti is good after sales. You can get repaired anywhere.

Recently, Union govt also formed one committee on Right to Repair headed by Nidhi Khare to tackle these problems and surprisingly this committee also highlighted same problem i.e., Manufacturers have proprietary control over spare parts and regarding the kind of design they use for screws and other.

But in mobiles and comm's space EU now drafted to make the companies use standard equipment mandated by govt itself,
like how these monopoly turds use to loot consumers and third party accessory makers overall, So as of now the EU mandated the use of Type C ports in all phones even in Apple products also,
So now the monopoly of these companies with their so called accessory market monopoly is now gone and INDIA is also gonna be following that Strict mandate in Indian market soon,
Just like that their monopoly is simply gone now they're gonna compete in Type C port,
So this should be applied in Automotive sector also with the Right to Repair policy, no matter how much these basturd's gonna cry the general public would have the option to get their vehicle repaired in relatively better cost than the So called Service centers of these monopolistic companies,
FYI, they earn more money in services,accessory and repairs than the sale of product itself, like the apple products their accessory sell more than their product's itself,
In that case Maruti is the the best.. they have maruti spares and accessories at every corner of the road. They will ask you only which model and which year. They will immediately give the parts you require or if they don't have, they take money and give you the advance receipt and in 2 to 3 days they will only call you to collect the part. Superb superb...!!!

Yeah it is true. My father owns a bearing shop . One day a customer asked far a beraing for his Honda Amaze . But the bearing wasn't available because they had intentionally decrease the innner radius about 2 mm of bearing from the standard size available in the market so that customer would only go to their services centres and these centres charge a hefty amount for a small peice of work
When you get matured, you realise, going with a car where every thing can be repaired any point in time is a blessing

i had an accident like a month or 2 months back but since i was wearing gloves and a helmet i was saved from concussion to brain or any major health issue,and the accident happnened when i was returning home from hospital after some work and was hit by 2 fighting bulls when they came suddenly from my blindspotand ran over my head,and my bike,my helmet was my axor apex which i have been using over the last 2 years and gloves were raida airwave , thanks to these i was saved from any major hits from the bulls ,and the things u said about monopoly is being done by suzuki service centers, they dont give parts and if they give they surely make it difficult for us customers to get

I'm a motorcycle modifier from varanasi uttar pradesh, i have a small workshop "rahul custom motorcycles" which is in varanasi ,uttar pradesh , I'm watching your video since 2020 im facing a problem of paint bubbling . I customize bikes so i have to make and fabricate the tanks, side panels of the custom bike . When i fabricate the fuel tank i had to weld the petrol caps and special detailing . So when gave the parts to the painter and he paints the parts of the motorcycles after assembling the motorcycle when i put the petrol after a couple of days the paint starts bubble from the area which we have welded but there is no leakage in the welding . In most of the cases this happen . And it is affecting my reputation and goodwill for my work .i started to work 2 years ago. I know you and your team are gems of india and you will tell me by which mistake this is happening

This happens due to leaking of petrol from the welds. Instead of using water for leak test ask the welder to use petrol. Also ask the welder to use proper welding rods.
Do a leak test with coolant water to identify the issue. If you are sure its not leaking, ensure you do a proper ED Coat prior to primer application. Epoxy primer can help too. Post epoxy primer, use a 2k primer and proceed towards finish.

Whatever is said and explained in the video is genuine, authentic and from the heart. I too wanted to upgrade my halogen lamp with new LED lamps which honda representative gracefully declined. However they patiently explained with great details.. the reason behind not changing the equipment is they have tested a particular model with given specifications and upgrading one particular electrical part may cause imbalance in overall power management which can cause catastrophic failure. Imagine just because of one silly upgrade some imbalance happens with airbag which doesn't get deployed in emergency situation. To avoid such things company discourages upgrades and after market fitment.
Personally I think they are bluffing and agree with video but in hindsight reasons shared by Honda also makes sense

So true, infact i asked inside the showroom for a part that comes in top model. But not in lower trim. They bluntly said NO. I said i am paying what is the issue. And my vehicle is not even new. They said company policy. Pathetic policy of this company. Never going to advise anyone to buy this brand's car.

This is really bad to hear about this monopoly situation in India but in Hong Kong, it's a free market and very easy to get parts so we could repair ourselves.... I hope the companies there could understand the customers situation for their convenience otherwise their sale units will drop certainly...
Right to repair is an issue with Japanese brand specifically as they say Quality won't be maintained by workshops other than OEM service centre

I am a Phone repair business owner and I run an Apple specialised repair store. I face the same issue with Apple spares and other parts from them. Also, their various ways to stop 3rd party repair causes us 3rd party repair stores to decline most repairs which come to us due to un-availability of OEM parts 😢.

In electronics, big brands especially like apple create trouble but recently federal right to repair bill was introduced. Apple is sweating right now because if that bill is cleared, apple will loose atleast 15 to 25 percentage of their revenue. Other than this federal bill, lots of bills in particular states are being discussed. In right to repair, US is 100 years ahead of us.

Do u know about ongoing right to repair conflict in American market in between carmaker and local mechanics and customers where makers straight forward Said not going to give informations or major spare parts for repair outside workshop as they're disrupting their profits.

We also face difficulties sourcing parts of Honda but some parts are available on boodmo but body parts are not available there so very difficult to repair Honda cars in independent workshops 😢

Aise type ke companies pehle thoda puri India ghumke dekhne ki konse konse reputed aftermarket service centers hain jo unn gaadiyon ki achi kaam karte hain l, and I have seen in your video where you all worked on Amaze to make it look completely new, but it was difficult for you all to arrange parts for rebuilding the Amaze.
Those companies which provides spare parts to every aftermarket service centers we have in our places does able to repair the vehicle very well, which is clear that it is free for all.

Yes Mr. Parikshit, actually most of the manufacturers fallows the standardisation of spares and parts is there for ASME for mechanical engineering . ASTM guide lines are there for the automobile body & paint glass fittings, break pads, tyres, and rims . I think the research is going on in Eurolab For engine spares. Most of the manufacturers follows the standards, but Honda is not following , and not selling spares out side . It comes under the to the MRTP act ( Monopoly Trade Restrictive Practice )

Hi sir I am from Australia 🇦🇺 I am in the Automotive industry all car parts are available in the over market if any part is not available we arrange for a wrecker...
and the shocking thing is most of cars sold in australia are not made in australia but in india some brands have really high attitude honda vw toyota skoda are perfect example of that their was a time when ford used to do same but they lost huge market share than because their dealers charged very high labour after 2016 ford started providing spares aftermarket

Many times repair quality(specially paint) of authorised showroom are very bad because of their work load . For example In my city i have 2 hyundai workshops i have visited in both of them none of them use paint booth for painting they simply do painting in open space which degrades the paint quality and also there is paint miss match issues

I’ve had no issues with honda for 8 good years. No matter with the spark plugs or any other peripherals.
Doesn't mean others don't have problem
Take it to roads , without 2 lakh km on the odometer you can't say you have no issues.
