It has been SUPER tough. But just remember - just because you're not seeing the fruit of your work today doesn't mean you won't see it a week, a month, or a few months from now.
I always love the 'pep talks' at the end of your videos! You are so calming. And THANK YOU for answering the question I always struggle with this time of year - do I keep listing summer things at the very tail end of it, or switch to fall and save those summer things for next year...I don't think I'll ever be done listing fall/winter things during that season since I'm very backed up at the moment, so your advice to switch and save the summer things for late winter was just what I needed to hear - so, thanks for that somewhat niche advice :) and congrats on the better sales week!
Glad your sales were better than the last video. Running sales is definitely a great way to boost sales, and I too notice when I do that many older items sell. Princess Polly NWT sells well for me, almost always pick it up when the cost is low.
Just subscribed to your channel and enjoy your take on reselling. I started a couple months ago and have made sales E Bay and Poshmark. I’m struggling to get any views on some of my EBay items. Priced well and worked on headlines. Any advice?
I still haven't mastered running a sale on Poshmark.. I have watched a load of videos on all the different ways to do it. I'm not sure what makes the most sense to also reach people that didn't like an item.
Very informative video. The only thing I’m noticing tho is when she makes $10.. she’s actually losing money when you account in the packing materials, gas to drive to the thrift store and back, gas to go to the post office, electricity it took to make the sale, etc. Dont get me wrong I am very happy she sold but a ton of resellers don’t acknowledge that they are losing money on items
I think your statement would be true if I bought one thing at a time at the thrift store, if I drove to the post office, etc. But the truth is, when I go sourcing, I typically pick up a minimum of 20 items, and oftentimes, the profit from a few items actually pays for the whole haul. Also, most of the things selling for $10 or less are things that belonged to my kids, so I actually didn't go sourcing for those items at all. Finally, I don't go to the post office - I use porch pickup, which means USPS comes to my house and picks up my items. So I disagree - I don't believe I lost money on those sales. I didn't make a huge profit, but there was indeed a profit. There are actually sales where I lose money because I paid too much for them and they sold for too little - I actually share when I'm in the negative for a sale. Thankfully, it rarely happens, but when it has, I share those numbers. I also share when I get returns or when I make mistakes on sales like double selling an item.
Honestly sometimes it is worth it to lose a little money on items just to get the cash flow and invest it in something else. Resellers are also too scared to lose money on bad items. Big retailers do it all the time. Your good items are supposed to be priced high enough to make up for it.
@@user-tj5ms5sl5sI feel Becky is very honest about what she makes & to clarify so you have a better understanding .we can go about things in different ways .however We CAN get free shipping materials from post office ,we CAN ship from home for free ; so no gas. when she/we shop we get a lot of items at a time so totally worth it ..and electricity? I'm confused by this one ;do we just turn our lights & computers on or just charge our phones only to make a sale? and also making any sale brings in more sales & new customers cuz it "wakes up" the algorithm .even if she didn't make money on that particular sale still making $
I don't think money was lost maybe just 1$ at the most, polymailers in bulk can be .03 ea, if your shipping usps through posh the mailers are free. Tissue paper or packing paper is only 10 cents ea. And I gas/electric makes the rest of 85 cents? She's not losing money.
Interesting point, but some of these things are also a tax write off / included as an 'expense' and therefore lower your taxes, so still not hurting her business :)
Thank you Becky for your motivating words. It's been a tough summer. Putting in the work but not seeing the fruit is so disheartening.

I'm not sure you can (other than posting a 'sign' in your closet but to me, those look kinda tacky), but interested to hear what others say!
Becky what is your posherva coupon code? I always watch your video and I’d like to sign up for the posherva
Running sales is normally a wast of time for me on Posh. Send hundreds of offers and basically 2 - 3 sales come from it.. Not worth it..
Great video 😊
thank you for watching!
