Think Edward Norton's performance is under-appreciated. When I saw the movie, his was the performance that stood out (along with Michael's). Sad that Edward will not be rewarded, come Oscar night. Just like his two previous nominations
Iñarritu takes filmmaking to a different level. Doesn’t matter if it’s a small production like Birdman or a mega production like the Revenant. He just makes them special and mind blowing.
There shouldn't be any conversation as to who will win the Oscar for Best Actor of 2014. I left the theater asking myself, "How did he do that"? One of my favorite scenes is when he"lands" from his flight around the city and nobody notices his descent but as he walks into the theater a cab driver chases after him demanding payment for the ride. What acting, directing and camera work!!!!!!!!
After watching "The Imitation Game" today, I have to say that it's difficult to choose between Cumberpatch & Keaton. His performance was as riveting so this explains the "fairness" of picking one best actor when there are two or three who deserve it. I can't wait to see how he is going to deliver that Boston accent in "Black Mass" later this year.
***** The way each actor delivered their lines effortlessly in that movie made me rewind those parts a few times because they were that good (and I don't usually do that). I loved the part where Edward's character told Michael's character that his hard on "got 50,000 views on UA-cam" and Michael told him that "a cat playing with a dildo gets more than that". That was hilarious.
Agree. While Redmayne did an excellent acting performance as Hawking, in terms of character depth and complexity its like comparing a puddle with an ocean. So yeah.
2014: "Michael Keaton will never get a role in a superhero movie after that!" 2017: *Is The Vulture in Spider Man:Homecoming* 2020: *Gets a cameo in Morbius*
I am hispanic blah blah blah, but as a writer and on and off actor. Hearing people say its astonishing how a (insert minority) can capture this idea and vision. Yes there are hispanics that can do great things except take money :P
This movie will sadly lose to Boyhood in the director and picture catagories. It will probably win cinematographery, best lead actor and best original screenplay. Stone and Norton are also great in this film but the fact they'll lose to J.K Simmons and Patricia Arquette (she is the only one from Boyhood that deserves an oscar) makes sense.
I would like that Birdman win. I'm mexican, and I support to Alejandro G. Iñarritu. I know that Boyhood (and Whiplash, from my point of view) it's a good enemy for Birdman, but I wait that the Academy look the well done work that this movie represents. It would be awesome. 2 mexicans win Best Director (Cuaron the last year), and Best Picture for a picture directed by a mexican director, for first time. I feel the same that you, and actually feel that make a movie for 12 years deserves to be rewarded, but c'mon, Birdman was beautiful. :(
I still have hope for Birdman beacause the story is about theater, actors, films and art overall, and they usually love to reward that stuff. But I'm aware that Boyhood is the one to beat :(
Im fine that Patricia Arquette wins supporting actress but i would totally like to see Edward Norton take the award this time Edward Norton and J.K Simmons are completly fighting for the award, its gonna be a tough decision
OneManProduct Yeah, it's called THE REVENANT, Tom Hardy also appears in the new film. And I've heard that the guitarist from RADIOHEAD will compose the soundtrack. Alejendro knows what music is, unlike the academy (They snubbed his score for There will be blood and they snubbed the score of Birdman)
I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope that Michael Keaton wins Best Actor. Birdman wins Best Pictures. And Alejandro wins Best Director... all from this movie!!! I'm serious, I want Oscar awards to see this Comment. I just got through watching Birdman, and it's better than I knew it would be. You don't see movies like this anymore or ever. Acting, directing and the script.. just nailed it. I'm honest here! Good job on the movie. Thanks for reading my Comment. :) The only complaint I have is Emma Stone, she isn't all that, and she wasn't great. But can't win it all. Still one of my favorite movies. :D :) I hope this doesn't hurt my vote here, but I cannot stand the Awards any of them, even Oscars. I feel like it's selfish for those who have it all, sort of, meaning money and fame etc etc.. Awards just rubs it in the face, like Art needs to be a competition against each other. You know?

Michael Keaton is so incredibly good that it’s really hard to describe. I get totally lost in his performance. He’s believable, light and amazing.
Regardless of what else happens, Michael Keaton seriously deserves Best Actor. Honestly, he's deserved a couple of them already.

I agree, but Jake Gyllenhaal for Nightcrawler is a strong contender.

It's an insult that Michael Keaton lost his last chance at an oscar because Eddie Redmayne learned to pull funny faces.
Agree. While Redmayne did an excellent acting performance as Hawking, in terms of character depth and complexity its like comparing a puddle with an ocean. So yeah.
Totally agreed

Birdman was a truly a magical movie from start to finish .. beautiful film
Best original screenplay
I love you Michael Keaton I hope you win an academy award
It's obvious that these fine actors had great faith in the script and the director.... looks like a possible sweep on Oscar night!
It's funny when he talks about crazy passionate latin artists and what they create because he's tailor made for that been Alejandro's muse.

Hey can we talk about that guy in the bottom left corner who's filming exclusively Emma Stone's face? :/

We'll know it in 2015.

Same here! Plus, Norton is long time overdue.
Batman, Hulk and Spider Gwen
Actually Vulture, Hulk and Gwen....
These videos are great but the audio is kinda funky
Wheres alejandro g innaritu?
He is shooting a film with Leonardo Dicaprio
Really? Great

George Tarantino Hey Thanks! :)
If I can put 600 likes I would put it I can't agree more
619taken Aw, thank you!!! Yea, me too if that can get them to win! :P :D cool beans.
Why do you think that about Emma Stone? I thought she was brilliant in the movie. I agree about the rest of your comment
Salvador Dalí was not Latin. He was born in Spain... lol
I think he was if you speak Spanish you’re Latin n been from Spain I think he’s more Latin than anyone in America 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Edward Norton is fucking confusing and keeps going off on tangents lol
just like a true artist lol
lol what? maybe so but the shit he was saying was actually well thought out and important
Don't know man, seemed pretty clear and thought out to me.
how annoying listening to Michael talk... he has a hard time coming up with a flowing sentence
