It's a cool knife, but it wouldn't survive the test. The steel isn't very strong, although the size and weight would add some strength. I definitely want one, but it wouldn't he for real bushcraft, more for just being cool as hell lol. I do have an Australian machete, it's about 4.2 4.3 pounds give or take, and I have a hell of time with it, and so do my teenage boys lol. Some knives are just for fun and the cool factor , knife lovers don't always need the best steel or name brands, some just have to be bad ass. I can pull out my spider co knives and my cheaper big boys and every time the teens and younger men always choose the bad ass chopper lol.
The log is heavier then the knife. After the blade is wedged into the wood, flip the log over and drop the log onto the blade. The weight of the log will drive itself down.
Fred Flintstone knife! Lol! I told Shany that I got turned onto Shade Indonesia knives through you Scab. I contacted Shany through his email address and just ordered The Slayer. He has to build it. Estimates 4 weeks. Have you every had it in hand? Congratulations on your weight loss journey!

Thinking about Veterans and never stop quitting. We are here in the mortal rhelm to work together and be together. Im glad seeing actual positive changes in you being as you're yhinking of others.
Reached out to Shany and ordered one literally the moment I saw your first short on it 🤣 I'm always on a mission for the badest fixed blades around and brother this sure is one. Thanks for the awesome content, keep 'em coming 🤙🏻
Holy Crap! 13mm thick 5160 (automotive spring steel ... as tough as steel can nearly get ... then heat-treated too!) It cut straps like butter! 1/2" thick. "Let's take the best khukuri we can find and make it triple-thick". Then cuts paper like no one's business. Awesome. Big Kudos @shadeindoneisa and designer Daniel K.
❤❤❤❤ just beautiful as always. That ShadeIndonesia dude has a real eye for blade shapes and grinds..Big fan. Tanks CBC for bring this guy ton our attention (typos fixed)
If you liked this knife, you might have fun with the Mutiny or Pensioner from Khailash blades in Nepal! They are probably the best kukri maker in Nepal, and have anazing geometry that cuts deep. I have a 13" scourge Anniversary from them with in house made Micarta scales because the import cost us too high, kydex sheath, with the standard grind. If I could go back I would make that a performance grind and get the Mutiny. That being said, it was worth every penny, and then some and Andrew and Bisnu were great to work with! Edge retention is great, bites nice and deep, and is fully hardened with an oil quench instead of the more traditional teapot method. They also are a decent bit thinner than other kukris because of that, but as said, they have amazing geometry. I love me some good kukris! On another note, keep up the great work! That knife has a pretty great edge geometry! Sincerely, JS
Hey Brother I’m new to your channel and you got my subscribe just for handling the blade the way you did and telling folks what you where trying to accomplish by doing so. That takes some(in my humble opinion)serious skill to produce a blade like this. I absolutely love it but dam I do good to pull my britches up let alone sling that beast! lol looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Have a fantastic day
Its awesome! I have some of the best knives out there, collecting for 30 plus years, but ill be honest with you, my big cheaper heavy choppers are always my go to for fun! Yes i always have my martinni blade or mora , and a spyderco folder, but when its time to just have a good ole time in tbe woods with my boys, out comes my big cheap chopper and the fun begins! I wamt one, where can i get it!
To say that that knife's impressive is an understatement! FIVE POUNDS??? Hey man, I can't lie, I really like that damn knife!!! I like picked up one of my son's 5 pound plates and it took me "several" minutes to imagine that plate, in the shape of a knife!!! Showed my kid this video and he says to me, hell yeah dad you should get that knife 😂!!! I'm 5'7, he's 6'4 and he's not a knife guy, well he really liked this one lol but then, so do I. I don't know the name of that blade but it should be called the "WOW"!!! I really enjoyed this video Scab, there's NOTHING else like it on UA-cam as far as I know...❤
What surprises me is how scary sharp that "knife" is. I thought big chopper not that sharp, I was stunned when i saw the first cut test, and it still stayed sharp on the last test. Monster is right.
What a beast of a knife. Brother, you were having so much fun it should be illegal. I would wear that beast on my side just to see the looks on people's faces. Awesome video brother. I hope you had a great 4th. God bless my friend.
Nice job that it did not get outta control from you....I wanted some fine feather sticking use with the finger choil....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣....Nice job fashion King....Good stuff....
instead of lifting the log and slamming it on the block with the knife stuck in it turn it over and slam the back of the knife into the block, bam instant split
Too much to call this Bohemian...its a kratos, God of War weapon...lol...Not many people could show and use this knife on the tube...you did a fine job...this was comical...as all you can do is demolish with it...Shany you are a legendary maker of awesomeness...
Who’s worried “choirboy”🤣 An overgrown knife is a machete, just as overgrown ‘BOY’ as you! I’m nobody! Why stoop to the likes of a nobody? YOU REALLY ARE JUST A BOY!!! And you DID split that log wrong, everyone here knows it! Oh I guess you didn’t want to tarnish your ‘everyday carry?’ Knife?☺️ It’s not a keeper. It’s fugly. Could forge one in probably a day if I had it to WASTE! I’d throw that zombie apocalypse machete in the recycling bin if I had it! Thrown BETTER away!
The practicality is out the window with this one but I couldn't care less I need it😂
