I'm excited I'm going to order one next Monday on batch 2 and pray they fix these issues and I get good QC, I have a SL-12 Tenz M which is my favorite mouse, and I am also refurbishing it with the kit from Meowmouse because my left click died (kind of an important part of the mouse). So if the ULX isn't for me I will still have my starlight.
That flex is shocking. It's a real shame they didn't stick with the magnesium because the starlight 12 is SOLID and still just as light, I can push down on mine hard and it literally doesn't move at all. I'm guessing the material is just too hard to work with for mass production. Really hope they bring it back for a special edition or something, I'd pay extra for it
"just as light" while the medium starlight weighs 46g and the ultralightx medium weighs 37g (the ultralightx medium is even bigger in shape) The ultralight was also developed for fingertip and clawgrip. I have no idea which finger grip user would press their mouse like that to notice the flex and you should keep your mouse as relaxed as possible for the best aim. Imo the mouse is just crushing the competition
MgAl is just not that great for mice. Finalmouse had huge problems with consistent click tensioning and build quality QC. Even Razer had QC problems with their MgAl mouse, which is btw 115€ more expensive in Europe. Yes, metal is more rigid then the Carbon composite that they use rn, but the flex is literally not noticeable in game and while you use the mouse. Not even speaking about the fact that the ULX is about 10g lighter than the Starlight.
Hey i have a friend who is offering me the starlight tenz for $100. No build quality or QC issues either. Is it worth just getting that instead of waiting for the ULX. I feel like no matter what carbon fiber won't feel as premium and I don't really care about the weight difference.

So I‘d like to adress some of your points. Grip tape: It’s thin and will wear quick: well they kept it thin because of the weight. All grip tapes wear out, this is normal. And there are already grip tapes for the dtarlight 12 from third parties, just buy those. The feel, well we are pushing what’s possible, the price you are paying is not for a „premium“ product, but the marvel of engineering. Getting to sub 40g is very impressive, yes going from 80 to 60 is ok, but the challenge is the lower you get… The build quality of the back part seems sketchy I know. But look, everyone told me when I bought my starlight 12, oh the scrollwheel will break, the buttons have side to side play. It has terrible QC it will break, yet mine is still alive. A Zeus Medium. Is it overpriced, yeah probably. Will the enthusiast still buy it, definitely. Man people spend their money on other stuff, my friend bought a Model locomotive for 2000 dollars the size of this mouse.
All valid, I don’t hate finalmouse they have clearly changed the game and they have achieved amazing feats. I’m all for a lighter mice and understand the love people have for “lighter the better”, but this mouse is creaking with the touch of a finger, and the back is lifting off of the bottom. I have higher hopes for future batches of these mice, as the problem most likely resides with the factory that is producing/assembling these shells. @@QGinHQ yeah let's hope the creaking gets fixed. Again I think RJN said this was negligible, but it is a problem. Yet again one should consider what really matters, not small details that you won't notice, I mean look at the DPI button, you change the DPI once, then never again, so why have it. Oh, one more think. Why does it feel cheap, I thought about it. Let's look at another story, iPhone 4 vs competitior. They had a all metall, heavy design. Heft gives you the feeling of "premium". Totally different mice. I can't use a GPX because it's too big. This is a fingertip mouse, barely a claw one, maybe the big size, but it will still be smaller than the GPX. You're not comparing equal mice IMO. If you want a GPX you can compare to a Pulsar X2V2 medium, or Lamzu Atlantis. But the ULX even at medium is way smaller.

The FinalMouse tenz is still one of the best they dropped. My main mouse I keep going back to is the pulsar x2h. I think it’s one of the best of the year.

Tbh, the flex isn't a big deal. People who press their mouse hard enough to flex it, need to be working in other aiming skills before looking at spending $150+ on an ultra lightweight mouse. When you fingertip, you barely apply any pressure, and that's the grip this mouse is designed for. Work on proper mouse control before going down the rabbit hole of buying expensive mice. No need at all to grip hard as that tires your hand/wrist/arm causing inconsistent aim.
Finalmouse should have learned from that submarine that imploded at the titanic shipwreck lol. That vessel was made of carbon fiber too and obviously that didn't end well. Carbon fiber is just inferior.
The 29g advertisement is for the Cheetah only, and that’s without paint and skates. Apart from that the flex in the back is normal, the gap at the bottom right is a screw problem, you just have to get new skates and tweak the screw. The $190 is because it’s the cheapest Wireless 8k mouse
you are not paying the prettiness of the mouse nor the durability of the shell, youre paying for a mouse with one of the fastest response time clicks out there, youre paying the insane sensor, ure paying for the insanely low weight, stop poking at your mice guys, it wont break if you dont try to break it
This is not a 100% carbon fiber mouse. It's a carbon composite this mouse may have just 25% carbon fiber because this mouse is flimsy as shit carbon fiber is extremely light and stronger than steel.
My model d wireless is more premium that this shit at 69 grams and the omron mechanical switches are crisp...side buttons have no wobble, build quality is great I squeeze pretty hard on my mice and it's never even creaked, the 2.4ghz wireless at 1000hz is seamless...to me the model d is all I need until this mouse dies...I bought it at 80usd and rn its 48 on glorious website
...flex does not equal "easy to break", it's probably the opposite. They never stated the (M) Lion was 29 grams, 29S 34M 38L, I think. The Price I would say is in line with, what is on the market right now (50+gram Chinese mice or less feature rich mice for 90-120€), even though I don't believe in all these fancy new features like ultra low weight, 8k pooling and optical switches, so I got a 50€ darmoshark m3s instead.
Carbon fiber composites are much more durable against expanding than they are against compression, so in this case it's definitely not 'the opposite'. Flexing inward will cause micro-cracks in structure which will definitely lead to noticeable wear over time if you happen to grip / use the mouse in a way that flexes the structure.
@@Casevil669 from looking at some other reviews, I think this flexing only really occurs in the back hump of the mouse and would not actually happen during normal use.
Final mouse has never produced anything worth making a video for. Horrible QC at insane high prices. It’s amazing how they have worked the FOMO from their audience. $200 for a bad mouse and people buy it, incredible marketing makes people just throw their money away. Much better options out there for WAY less money.
I was initially interested in the Large drop of this mouse but these things look laughably bad in terms of build quality, was shocked when i saw the flex on the rear of that shell you could literally punch a hole through with your fingers if you really wanted to lol
You were lucky enough to get the 1% rarest weight Finalmouse, and yet you still complain about the price. Buddy, the Finalmouse wasn't meant for the ordinary consumer, it was meant for esports players who need the edge or wealthy collectors. The average consumer is not Finalmouse's target demographic. You can always buy a Razer Deathadder V3 wired if you are a lower to middle class American. No one is stopping people from buying a cheaper mouse, but I find it odd that you will use a high price as a negative, when in reality, the high price is because of its exceptional 8khz polling rate, industry leading sensor implementation, and ultralight weight and #1 wireless mouse in terms of weight. Furthermore, it is lighter AND significantly cheaper than Razer's Viper Mini SE, but I don't see you complaining about that one. And who are you to talk about price? You're a grown man with so many expensive toys around your room. You shouldn't be complaining about price, of all people.
My mouse is literally splitting in two. I’m talking about price for the average consumer, you think I have an issue with 189 dollars? I don’t struggle with money, as you can see by the “toys” around me. I haven’t used the Viper mini, so why would I speak on it? I own 90% of FinalMouse products. Most releases dating back to day one, and I can prove it. 8k wired is great that’s apart of the reason I said this mouse still performs well. I review tech, and I influence people on what to purchase. If you think a mouse that costs 189 dollars that shows up almost falling apart and squeaking is an industry leading product, you’re just wrong. This mouse isn’t meant for a certain demographic, it’s meant to be in stock at all times for everyone, meaning the average gamer to the pro.

...flex does not equal "easy to break", it's probably the opposite.
@@Casevil669 from looking at some other reviews, I think this flexing only really occurs in the back hump of the mouse and would not actually happen during normal use.
bro the grip tape is the best on the market i think!!!! but the mouse is trash!!! im selling mine
I don’t have any issues with the tape - but pulsar has the best tape out rn.
the hard truth, or am i hard becuase of the truth?
Final mouse has never produced anything worth making a video for. Horrible QC at insane high prices. It’s amazing how they have worked the FOMO from their audience. $200 for a bad mouse and people buy it, incredible marketing makes people just throw their money away. Much better options out there for WAY less money.
I was initially interested in the Large drop of this mouse but these things look laughably bad in terms of build quality, was shocked when i saw the flex on the rear of that shell you could literally punch a hole through with your fingers if you really wanted to lol
lmfao. ok
bro look like he would eat the mouse for breakfast
Daddy hongry, ima eat you!
pls dont papi@@QGinHQ
