- Merry Christmas everyone! Tonight we react to "John Mayer - In the Blood (Home Free Version) (Country Music)" by Home Free. We love reacting to both the funny and serious songs because it gives us a glimpse of what all they can do! You really get to listen to the lyrics in this video and the location is stunning!

They recently covered Cam on a song called "Mayday"... same serious tone as this one, and Tim, the bass singer, sings tenor on the song. He actually has a 5 octave range, and now that Chance has replaced Chris, Tim can sing lead more often (Chance covers bass and baritone).
Y'all may want to chill out for an hour or so and watch a live concert on UA-cam... you can get a taste of their personalities and the different songs.
This time of year you might want 'How Great Thou Art', 'O Holy Night, 'Do You Hear What I Hear', 'Silent Night', etc...
You might've noticed someone new. That was Adam Chance. He's the new baritone after Chris Rupp left in 2016 to pursue his solo career. You guys should react to Chris Rupp's song with Home Free What Child is This. It's beautiful and its the only time that all 6 sing together

Another great one is “I can’t outrun you.” Chance is the new guy-wearing a baseball cap in this video, and he sang second after Tim-he does lead on the video and he directed it. It’s somber and heartfelt. And AMAZING.
It's one of the most beautiful songs they ever made.

Because Adam was doing solely body percussion, he was able to sing with them on this one. His 5th part in the harmony is always a treat.
Thanks for another HF reaction. ♥ 'In The Blood' is definitely one of those songs that make you think, and I love that HF can do both funny and serious, and sound wonderful no matter what. Their ability to keep surprising me with their song choices, arrangements, styles... is one of the reasons why I love them so much.
I would suggest *Fishin' In The Dark / Down In The Boondocks* and *Thinkin' Out Loud / Let's Get It On* because I think both arrangements are wonderful, but they don't get suggested as often as other HF arrangements.

I heard this version before I heard the original, and I like this version better. And I do agree that in this version it's easier to focus on the lyrics. And the song definitely resonates with me because I was abused by my mother, and my father was too weak to do anything. The last thing I want to be like is them when I have children, but I have that fear.
Home Free has evolved a lot. Time to revisit them in your reactions!
Great reaction guys! The water scenes were filmed at the Walter Hill Dam in Murfreesboro, TN. Not sure where the house is, but it’s not next to the dam.

That's not a "waterfall" it's a old Gris mill. Water powered mill used to grind corn into meal and grind other grains. I agree with you, this is by far their best cover. Good reaction, thanks for the video.

They did some collaborations (Elvira featuring the Oak Ridge Boys; Amazing Grace with Peter Hollens; Children Go Where I Send Thee with Kenny Rogers) that are all fantastic; vids like this one I would recommend How Great Thou Art, Mayday, I Can’t Outrun You, and My Church; vids with a story check out Castle on the Hill, My Old Man, Die a Happy Man and Think a Little Less. All the vids where they interact with a woman they use their wives/girlfriends and the chemistry comes through. Your reactions are awesome! Please keep up the Home Free reactions! The locations are real. I don't know if the waterfall is next to the house...I doubt it. I don't know of Home Free ever using a green screen Merry Christmas!
They had to use a green screen on the "Fishin' In The Dark/Boondocks" mashup.
That's correct...I forgot, also Butts Remix! Thanks for jogging my memory! I don't think they used a green screen for in the blood. I have seen the BTS video I don't recall seeing them use one.
