I hope we can reach generations level of mods with sa2 even though that is unlikely to happen

Ian Retexturing something still requires work, just not as much as original levels require. Full-on original stages haven’t really happened yet with SA2, so stuff like this is still fairly substantial.

God I LOVE SA2s gameplay so much their NEEDS to be more mods for this game than Mania! So underappreciated It is I would buy a whole mod just to revamp the levels like this. Please for the love of God SEGA go back to this style and give us Adventure 3 damnit!

@@damienthonk1506 Sorry it COULD happen someday so I can dream and Tails and Knuckles controlled badly? I hear this a lot and quite honestly this goddamn lie can quite frankly fuck off. Knuckles in his treasure hunting stages and Tails in SA1 and 2 controlled just fine and dandy I NEVER had a problem with how they moved in those games. They were fluid and flexible in the way they felt and honestly I'd much prefer it that way over the on rails boost style gameplay we have going. Would I want that back? Fuck yeah I would. I loved those stages. Adventure 1 and 2 were the bomb.
Agreed completely with both of your comments Stormcutter, Treasure Hunters always felt great to control on GameCube. While the mechs felt like tanks, they were supposed to feel that way & those stages were still more fun than 3D Boost Formula. The Adventure Games were the best 3D Sonic has ever been. What the series needs is to stop treating itself like a joke like we saw the entire 2010s decade, having a return to the good stories & characterization from the 2000s. Allow us to play as 6 Characters minimum for each main series Sonic Game, while making the 3D games fully 3D again. Adventure Fans were the most betrayed Sonic Fans throughout the history of the series.
@@WaterKirby1994 Dude I couldnt agree more with you. Absolutely. Everything you said is correct. Factually, without dispute. It is hard being a Sonic fan, especially an Adventure fan. Or really a fan that liked any game Colors in 2010
I agree, Mania is kinda overrated (imo) when it comes to mods, they're just reskins for crying out loud. I want new level mods for 3D Sonic games.
I honestly hope that Generations mods would reach out to SA2.

Seeing Ryan Drummonds Sonic with Jason’s voice is pretty weird lol. Why doesn’t SA2 get the same attention as Generations when it comes to mods? Is it just easier to mod Generations?
SA2 is notorious for being hard to mod. The game's code hasn't been fully figured out to go beyond texture and model changes. It was only recently that we could custom import models.
It took SA1 over a decade to get to where it is now with modding thanks to the 2004 PC port. SA2 came to PC in 2012. It's going to be a long time, till we even scratch Gens' modding power.

It's more than that. Yes, it is based on Tails' Eternal Engine, but the object layout has been redone to fit Sonic's gameplay. Combine this with the new textures, the music and the fact that you are using another character to play trough it and you have a good level mod, especially considering that this is just the beginning for SA2 modding.
