My hero. Thanks brother! I’m a big dummy with engines, big and small. I really appreciate your help on this. Fired right up when I took the mulch cover off and cleaned the crap out. Resecured it, snugged down the wing nuts, made sure the kill switch was engaged properly and bang. 👍

Thanks so much for the video! I was going through and testing all the wiring and had no idea that safety switch was even there. Saved me from having to take it somewhere or take it apart even more than I already had.
I have this exact mower and that safety button is covered in the manual. My husband still hasn't figured it out yet. But I read the manual and I don't tell him, lol He comes in and says, "The damn thing won't start!" I'll go, really? Then I go out and start it for him after tightening that guard up against that safety button. OH it's sooooo much fun
You saved my life!!! My wife was mowing (which she loves to do) and hit something. Mower went off. I could not figure out until I saw this. Fixed in 30 seconds. You are doing God’s work my friend.

You just saved me 3 hours of my life. Bought one of these used and immediately took the guard off. Then tucked around on it leveling, sharpen blades…. Then it wouldn’t start
Dude you literally just saved my ass, my tb30 rider wouldn’t start , checked battery,fuses, pressure switch under the seat tightened up mt deck lever, nothing worked. I watched your video and sure as shit it was the pressure switch on the chute, was about the call the mobile mechanic dude to come fix it. That mower I depend on for yards with a small gates , thank you

Fantastic! Thanks so much, this was exactly our problem. A few hour's mowing ago we hit a buried rock that had exactly the right height and slope to bend the blade up and strike the metal skirt. It hit in just the right way to cut a slit and push up so that after a new blade, and some more mowing the mulching chute thing lifted up, releasing the safety switch! Your making this little video saved us a ton of time and aggravation -- much appreciated :D

Hit a rock and my mower wouldn't start at all... watched this video and found that it was the sensor switch on the side discharge that came loose. That little button just had to be tightened with the mulching plastic. Thanks for the advice, you save me a couple hundred bucks!
Hi Brad, Thank you so much for your trouble shooting ideas. Last night I charged the battery ,came inside and then watched your excellent video. After watching I knew it was the white safety push in button. I couldn't wait until morning . It was not the battery, it was that white button that was not engaged. The last cutting I did ,the grass was a bit too wet and was clogging up in the Shute. I unscrewed the bolts to remove the grass, and not knowing ,that is what happened. Thank you so much again .

Are you kidding? Just finished mowing, went to restart & nothing! We've been troubleshooting the switches for over an hour and 2:00 minutes into your video we knew that was our problem! A minute later, the mower was running!! Thank you very much!!
Problem solved !!!!!- mine was the button thing under that Mulching cover...….Was about to get really mad because I just bought this machine today, so that means it can come with this problem right off the bat. Well done, thank you for the video.
That solved the problem I had when a branch struck and stuck on mulch guard switch which disable the ignition. I had the debris removed, and it worked like a charm. I saved lots of money and time by viewing this video. Thanks a bunch! Subscribed!

Not sure how much time you saved me, I should have looked at UA-cam first! That interlock didn't show up on my schematic and I hadn't even thought of me pulling the mulching cover off for a looky-see would have anything to do with the starter... :-) Thank you!

Wooohoo! Fixed my issue. I hit a rock and the mower died, wouldn't even try to crank over. Safety switch popped out just like you showed, fired right up afterwards

Can u pleeeze do a tutorial on the blade and engagement fully. ...I'm kinda nervous about which handle to drop first. Does it matter which one I move first. I just got the craftsman R110 in Nov and have driven it around my yard several times to get use to it. Pulled this mower out of the neighbors trash and had gone through the machine - top to bottom - completely aware of the other 4 safety stops, NEVER knew about this guard safety stop, installed the mulch cover correctly and the machine fired right up .... not bad for a free mower!

Could you do a video on an easy way to install the battery, I thought that was my trouble until I heard about the safety switch from someone else that owns one, but I couldn't explain it to my son so your video has been really really helpful.
The guard gets chewed up by those wingnuts (as I see yours has) and keeps popping off eventually. I created a 3d printable clip you can fit that eliminates that. I'll upload it somewhere and post a link.

Yes sir, exactly my problem , but the cowling, blade cover assembly is rusted and it can not longer hold the safety switch in position...machine still runs great good and all. Looking to replace the whole bottom blade cowling part now. Thank you for the video btw.

The home depot worked on it and said that it was working fine, (warranty work). However, once it was moved to the house the problem continued. Now I know why it won't start. Thank Q

Would you be able to do a video on the same type of machine , the proper governor control spring operation? My machine revs up fully but won’t return to low throttle even when I turn the throttle lever back. When I got the machine there was a governor control spring off. Love your videos,keep up the excellent work. Andy

If Battery terminals are tight & fuse ok! 90% of time it's the guard switch out of position! Great Helpful Video! Thanks

Saved me a trip to have the mower serviced. I inadvertently reversed the battery pack when jumping the battery and blew the fuse.

Pulled this mower out of the neighbors trash and had gone through the machine - top to bottom - completely aware of the other 4 safety stops, NEVER knew about this guard safety stop, installed the mulch cover correctly and the machine fired right up .... not bad for a free mower!

Could you do a video on an easy way to install the battery, I thought that was my trouble until I heard about the safety switch from someone else that owns one, but I couldn't explain it to my son so your video has been really really helpful.
I will put it on the list to make a video on how to install the battery but at the moment I do not have that machine in the shop.
The guard gets chewed up by those wingnuts (as I see yours has) and keeps popping off eventually. I created a 3d printable clip you can fit that eliminates that. I'll upload it somewhere and post a link.

My safety switch is in like your video. Safety switch for blade engagement and seat switch are engaged. Still will not crank. Battery is good.
Check the fuse. Check to make sure your blade engagement handle is all the way off? Check emergency brake switch.

Yes sir, exactly my problem , but the cowling, blade cover assembly is rusted and it can not longer hold the safety switch in position...machine still runs great good and all. Looking to replace the whole bottom blade cowling part now. Thank you for the video btw.

Would you be able to do a video on the same type of machine , the proper governor control spring operation? My machine revs up fully but won’t return to low throttle even when I turn the throttle lever back. When I got the machine there was a governor control spring off. Love your videos,keep up the excellent work. Andy
