For those who do not know, the IDF is a civic duty, as soon as we finish high school we enlist in the IDF and serve two to three years, and after the mandatory service there are many who continue to be officers. We may have to serve in the army, but every Israeli citizen enlists because of our love for Israel and to protect our citizens.

I did not know that Korea had conscription. Here in Finland we have conscription for men as well but there has been a lot of talk about the conscription being either extended to include women as well or flat out stopped. I did not know that Korea had conscription. Here in Finland we have conscription for men as well but there has been a lot of talk about the conscription being either extended to include women as well or flat out stopped. I do nit really care if it is only men or men and women i just care about us having a military to defend ourselves. I would be interested to hear if there is any discussion like that over there in Korea
