May I ask please? So you need timecode to sync the camera, the audio and the slate. Right? So we use let's say the TC out of the audio recording to the "TC IN" of the slate and the camera to make them have the same TC. Why use the Tentacle? For continus sync? Do TCs tend to drift away? That doesn't feel right in this digital age.
I know tentacles can output timecode to devices that don’t have timecode in, by using the mic in port and sending audio timecode. However, I’m curious, in an environment where all your cameras have dedicated timecode in ports, are the tentacles necessary? If so, why? For example, my GH6 has timecode in, I’m wondering if just jamming twice a day to the slate would be enough.
