You got it right about not stealing, it goes against Buddhist principles. Though I did get robbed in Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos in massage shops, never have much money with you, be very careful in those places!

For me...I like the angle where you live in thailand and visit colombia. Its the better of both worlds. Stey relaxed in thailand for the 6 months..then be a visitor to colombia and Brazil 6 months. Being a "visitor" allows me to stay aware, not settle in and drop my guard.

Mall food is always worst and costly. Nice hotel room and a good price. It's sad mask are still mandatory in the malls there.
They really did not enforce the mask mandate too much in the mall. I tried to always wear the mask because I did not want to get sick on vacation
