Wow, this is literally the nicest-looking GBA game I've ever seen! Even on the Game Boy Player it looks smooth, and the 3D layering and transparency is great. It's such a shame it never left Japan.
there's an english translated rom of it online to play on an emulator. i use myboy! on my phone with a ps4 controller and it plays just as good as playing on an actual gba.
Hack snes classic mini and play it on there. I just played it tonight. Its AWESOME and i do own the cartrige for my gba. Grabbed it a few years ago when the ds was all the rage and people were dumping their gba stuff before prices got stupid.
I think the reason the stage is called Catharsis is because of the way the stage is designed because it looks pretty damn difficult for half of the track but the other half is a much more relaxing easy run which takes away the stress of the other half of the track.
the only f-zero game i ever really got into was the one on gamecube. i always preferred wipeout over f-zero but f-zero on gamecube was just as fun. i remember it being extremely difficult though.
I always loves games hat allows you to build your own levels which is also why I love hacking tools that allows you to build your own levels in games that never allowed a level editor. Same reason why I got the huge disappointment Mario Maker for the WiiU.
+Vash The Stampede it was easy for me to find. I grabbed my rom from Emuparadise. Just go for the link which says "direct download" - otherwise, there´s gonna be bullshit, like links for things you don´t need
Hard 4 Games Reviews Yes, while it has some cuul stuff that is unique to it, it's also way too limited for me to enjoy it. Locked in into 1 theme, 1 type of music which is a huge shame. For example I would love to combine various themes such as grassland and lava, floating water bubbles, putting out your own water etc. I would also love a wider variation of music that you can choose for your levels. I would also want moving backgrounds, moving platforms, moving water current. More powerups such as the frog suit, hammerer suit and tanookie soot for SMB3 as well as the squirrel suit, penguin suit, mini mushroom and Mega Mushroom. I'd also want vertical levels. Those are the things I'd like it to have which it doesn't (at this current time) and at this point I think one is better off with learning hacking tools for the Mario games. (Don't get me wrong I see why people enjoy it already, it's just that I expect a lot more of it, especially compared to games such as Little Big Planet).
This one looks very similar to GP legend but definitely an improvement over it, it looks great! What did you guys think of the first F-Zero GBA game? I couldn't really get to grips with it, all the cars felt really slidy to me :s
+Fraki The cars slide like mad here too, but I'd say I like this one more than the first GBA game. Better graphics, a track editor, and I felt like I may have had a bit more control.
Are you guys talking about F-Zero AX? Every time I see one of these they break while I'm in the middle of a race XD Let's hope you guys have access to a working one!
never actually played an F-zero game, this game looks pretty cool, but probably not the best starting point. that was a really sexy level you made though ;) also I think I'll become a patreon soon, cause I like your content
Yall mentioned fzero ax but didnt get into it. Check it out fzero fanatics! Its an arcade machine which worked with fzero gx through the memory card to unlock more things in gx and save ur data on ax.

why is it that the f zero games with track creator's are only in japan
Probably because only Japanese players have access to that.
Not sure if you heard but we finally have an English patch for this game!

We need a Virtual Console Re-release of this game.
+FanNintendo98 YES please!
Hack snes classic mini and play it on there. I just played it tonight. Its AWESOME and i do own the cartrige for my gba. Grabbed it a few years ago when the ds was all the rage and people were dumping their gba stuff before prices got stupid.
When you named the course J0HN I lost it. Great stuff guys.
+Alex & Toast It just seemed so perfect for him...
huzzah can't wait for the rest of these. f-zero always needs more love!
+Lars “B” Amble Got 2 or 3 more coming!
Great review. I forgot just how capable the Gameboy Advance is.
+I do games It's amazing to see such power in such a little device!
I just wanted to say that you guys have really awesome, high quality videos! It's criminal that you don't have more subs. Keep up the great work guys!

+TheStarSkullymen That's possible! Certainly less R-rated!
Mario Kart: 30M users
F-Zero: Approximately 15,000 users...
F-Zero needs to get back up there...
That is the best likeness of John that I've ever seen.
Coming out next week boys
Finally!
I love track editors. I can remember the old days when Micro Machines '96 for Mega Drive came out.

@@LPGrodus Look at Mario Maker 2! :)
I'm still shocked that North America didn't get this game.
+NeoSamus Sometimes Japan just wants to punish us.
+Hard 4 Games Reviews It's because we have no walls...

Ahhh awesome! I might have to see if I can get this sometime then
Did you guys also know that there where a F-Zero trading cards and F-Zero toys in Japan too?
Is John to busy talking about school shootings and his sisters rivalry with his ashes to join the show?
+Nick Hunter It's possible!
"a little too much for the eyes" and the capture!
amazing

+CaptainPsychopath Oh man, give it a try!
+Hard 4 Games Reviews will do, eventually. my backlog is way to big, yet keeps growing
Catharsis comes from smoking.. i forgot what but yes it has to do with ciggarettes
It's a shame you never got around to talking about how the soundtrack is one of the best in the series.
I know, we burnt through so many games that day. But an amazing game none the less!
Would you say this one is better than F-Zero GP Legend and/or F-Zero: Maximum Velocity?
6:00 doggo

Each video in this series is a different game, here's our AX video: ua-cam.com/video/TlfLW7M-iic/v-deo.html
Hard4Games nice!!! Shouldn't have doubted ya! ;)
God I love this show.
Thank you! :) -Tony
Wait, is this a japan-only game playing on a American GBA player?
+CAB1802 Yep! Nintendo handhelds weren't region locked until the DS days. So you can play Japanese games all you want.
Go harrrrrrrrrrd !
I'm upset that Climax only came on VC in Japan. So not cool, Nintendo...
Dave needs a haircut
Can we start a Patreon for that?
+efwefwef I'll check!
i want the rom....
Climax usa made for nx vc eventually ftw!!!!!!!!!!
>no zero racers
heh
