I would say that reading books you didn't love is still a successful reading month. It is a good thing to stretch our minds with books we wouldn't normally pick up.
my fav series out there by one of my fav youtubers! Kingdom of Ash is a month-long goal in and of itself. I do have Red Rising on my fall TBR cause I've been eyeing it for so long so hopefully I enjoy it. I'm right there with you on the 2025 TBR goal - definitely need to be more intentional unless somehow I end up making my full time job income just by reading :D
Omg glad I was not the only one that felt that way with Bunny!!! Though I read it like years ago, I still kept thinking about how much I don’t get why it’s such a popular book that’s gets highly recommended up to this day 😵💫
I find it so funny that the whole book community is basically like 'I hated Bunny! Here you have to read it.' 😂 I like the comraderie that comes with reading the book, but yes the book was one wild fever dream. My first thought after finishing it was WT did I just read. Sorry to hear your overall reading month wasn't great, at least you got so many books off the cart which is awesome!
I feel validated that you find Elsie Silver books crude. I hardly hear book tubers discuss that! I wonder if her other series are the same way, does anyone know?
I love Elsie Silvers book too but one thing I hate about her spice is how often she says “more” 😭 Thankfully she didn’t mention it in book 5 of Chestnut Springs but the first 4 books have it in almost every smut scene. Like how much MORE can you get?!?!?!?
I feel most people didn't enjoy reckless that much. I'm wondering why would the author choose to write a book with no plot/a filler 🤔 still excited to read it because of the ending though 😅 you did great with your July reading Jess 👏💗

Red Rising saga is amazing! You'll enjoy how each book progresses. The first book is the only book like Hunger Games.
