I’ve learned my lesson I lost my house to. Flood. Never live near or on a street or neighborhood that is called brook valley, river road, or anything with a water name. River, water, brook, stream, and in this case Waterville.
Um…. Altitude relative to surrounding land is what matters. Not names
Or live where there’s two big lakes surrounding your city/township
rainy river ....doomed
Now it’s truly living up to its name, Waterville. ❤
These homes and real estate were built on land below the flood plane by disreputable home developers and realtors knowing full well they would ultimately flood
Hope the taxpayers aren't forced to subsidize their incompetence. I would never buy a house without first checking the floodplain & doing an inspection. If they don't have flood insurance or nobody wants to insure them for it, well that's on them.
Don’t forget about the bribes they gave to government officials to allow them to do it!
Waterville is, unfortunately, water filled.
home insurance gonna be like "uhh ohh we dont cover flooding"
They already don't and is a huge under writer expense
You cant blame them. Who buys a home that is below a dam area? My uncle lived in Grove OK and he had a manufactured home on a hill. Good for him as the local lake flooded and homes along its short did too. Always looks good to live on a lake until that happens.
That is certainly a water-ville today. Maybe building houses in low elevation land is not wise.
It's a great name for the town and I've always wanted a nice house on a lake. Now MN is going to have to change their plates to read 10,001 Lakes.
999, actually
This town is between two lakes. Maybe they’re now connected into a single body of water
We ask for your presence and protection during this difficult time. Let them know that there are millions of us out here praying for them and their loved ones. We give You all the praise and glory forever, Lord, and know that even in the darkest hours, You are always with us. We pray for shelter and safety for all who were in the path of this situatio. Watch over everyone, their loved ones, friends, and fellow people, many of whom are preparing to the next level. Give them strength, courage, and resolve to ride out this storm. Answer their prayers and ours, that they be blessed with goodness and be spared from harm as they plan to a new beginning. Amen.
Waterville is built on an extemely low lying area between two lakes.
Yeah, why did they do that? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@bargdaffy1535 Maybe because the land was cheap due to probablility of flooding.
@@frankblangeard8865 Yeah, that probably has a lot to do with it.
Rather Have Rain Than Fire
Both are very bad😢
There will be no refuge or solace🌬
The cleanup after a flood is the worse!!!!
"Waterville" Seriously? And they had no idea this kind of thing happens-in "Waterville"? Sorry guys but you never should have built a homes/town there.
Like Phoenix
exactly,
Holy water!!
DEAR LORD JESUS PLEASE HELP THESE PEOPLE IN NEED
🙏🙏🙏
Isn't his dad the one that sends these floods?
@@branjosnow6244 you know these days I'm not too quite sure what science and everything we got some pretty smart scientists on our hands these days
They aren't dying but the homes are getting soaked.
@@branjosnow6244 BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The land of lakes is the name for a reason. 😅😅😅😅
i see that Waterville 💦 has been appropriately named - 😮!
Ok the water joke is getting old.
Yeah but the water looks really clean. ; (
You didn't see the two bright green Porta potties in the gas station parking lot, under water?!?! 2:07
I was thinking the same thing.
@jilbertb I lived in the area before, those are donation bins for clothes. It's a shame the clothes in there might not be put to good use
You should never drink water in the nature. Okay maybe from a high up mountain we'll but everything else is dirty
Insurance companies better pay up!!!
Dang they got fkd up there
I grew up here
Funny the towns name is “Waterville”
Good time to fish outside your bedroom window.
😂😂😂😂😂 I GUESS THEY DON'T CALL THE PLACE "WATERVILLE" FOR NO REASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do water people live in waterville?
They must be having a watery time .
They probably hate naming the city "waterville"
U AIN'T SEEN NOTHING YET.. KARMA....
Texas flooding was karma?
@SigFigNewton "No", it was really vegence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@SigFigNewton Hurricane Harvey Trump karma...
I love nature 😊
Tell this to the people who lost their home
This is not natural.
Ban geoengineering!!
Sad 😔, insurance?
Not likely.
NFIP is only available to use once. After that, they just pay you to move. They will not cover a third loss or the same property with a new owner. It's Fed Gov insurance.
I’d never buy on low lying land without flood insurance
Can’t afford to not spend a bit more for a bit more altitude
Ouch
Its ok yt folks, the insurance company has ur back
Ha! Never heard such a good joke.
Traditional homeowners insurance does not cover water damage of any kind. Floods, waterbed burst, broken sump pump, hole in roof from tree, theyll cover the tree but not the rain damage - u r on your own.
NFIP is govt insurance but only pays once per property. If you buy a home that previously had flood insurance loss thru NFIP, you can't insure that property again.
To be fair they aren’t as aggressive in avoiding covering people as health insurance companies
GAWDDAMN! And I’m moving to Minnesota in a few months from Sweden, can’t wait 😀😀😀
This is not normal for here
Where in Minnesota? It's a big state, all 4 corners are vastly different.
funnily enough, more than 1/3 of Minnesotans are direct descendants of Norwegians & Swedes. Most of them came here 150 years ago & there are still small groups of Swedish speakers in Minnesota. Gustavus Adolphus College was founded by Swedish immigrants.
Good thing the US isn't practicing geoengineering, otherwise this might look suspicious.
Low lying land now for sale at bottom dollar.
maybe shoulda named it dryville and you wouldnt have that problem
Clown 👎
