Great guide and excellent english ! I use Barrage and firepower enhancements both at level 3 here with swift main stat .... In the end play what you enjoy if u play for efficiency just like min/maxing dailies you will eventually burn out .... I suffered with artillerist slow movement speed for 2 months and once i switched to swift i fell in love with artillerist again and will never go back to turtle speed ... I will eventually build all the classes I play with spirit absorption cause I wanna go Brrrrrr
I tested both builds and after i got a nice crit/spec necklace, i decided to balance the 3. I have basically crit/spec/swift with my necklace Crit/Spec, 2 crit earrings and 2 swift rings. I find that my dps is constant and i have good mobility too.

Quick question i would like to ask: i saw some arti in loawa running adrenaline, so in my future build is something like spec-crit with engraving like grudge+KBW+adrenaline+fp+barrage, right now in the west should we not use adrenaline first and replace it with hitmaster/cursed doll? or it is fine to run adrenaline for higher dps ceiling. Thank you for your comment! Adrenaline is a meta dominating engraving. Because of adrenaline, many builds could get crit rate without crit stats. Full spec build + adrenaline and class engraving that gives crit rate + crit synergy has become very strong and spec arti is one of the classes benefited from this meta. Although using adrenaline as spec arti takes little bit of micromanagement, it is a strong engraving. So it will be helpful if you get used to this micromanagement.
Hey there, I've only got a small question to verify if my plans are good, I plan on going spec-swift arti after 1445. The relic set I aim to get is 6 piece hallucination for 15% crit rate (+5% on 6 piece effect) with firepower3/barrage1/grudge3/hit master 3/keen blunt 3. Is this a good relic set and engraving for spec/swift?
Finally! I was searching everywhere for an up to date artillerist guide after the recent class changes! I am currently playing crit/swift (max crit with swift on neck) on the first week of valtan and i was not sure if i should go spec for the relic sets and accessories. Thanks a bunch! Also, would you prefer crit or swift as the second neck stat? Also, what relic set should i be going for if i'm doing spec arti?
Spec-Swift or Spec-Crit is completely a matter of preference. I personally prefer Spec-Crit with Spirit Absorption because you have higher atk/move speed but similar damage expectation for barrage mode, but Spec-Swift is more popular choice in KR. For Spec-Swift you usually get hallucination, for Spec-Crit you get redemption(salvation). If you're not sure about changing your build, do some test in Trixion by spec build. The damage diff will motivate you :)
Maybe you will go over this in your next video, but can you explain why BE3 is not good for spec swift. For example, I am 1445 now with spec swift 33311 (Adre/KBW/FP/BE1/SA1) If I had the option for getting another engraving to 3, should I get BE (my choice) or another either hit master or cursed doll or SA (and switch to crit/spec neck). I am speaking from a future perspective (what would be better long term to invest in). Not sure if my question is clear but thanks for the video. Looks like you go over this in your new video. I think it is a matter of personal preferences. I prefer BE3 personally, and if I choose BE3 my other builds naturally become spec-crit with SA. Part 2 will explain why. It is not a matter of BE3 being good or bad. If you got budget to get 33331, you have to get at least one engraving for lvl 1, and BE1 does not suck, while most other engravings suck as lvl 1. If I was in your shoes, I might eliminate SA1 and get Grudge/HM/CD 3 instead.
@@avix2321 Thanks for the reply. Is the real benefit for BE3 from BE1 the damage or the firepower gain. For example, is the firepower gain that much more going for 1 to 3? or is it mostly for the damage.
Both damage and meter gain are beneficial but I guess damage is more important. Meter gain difference makes you use one more forward barrage, but since BE1 is used for spec-swift mostly, you have shorter forward barrage cooldown as well. So meter gain does not really matter in that case.
I have a question that may sound a bit silly, I'm running spec/crit build and I wonder if I should replace my Napalm shot with turret? I know the turrets armor destruction is great and I used it with my crit/swift build. The reason why I chose Napalm is to enhance the stagger damage ^^'
No worries bro that's not a silly question. But I highly recommend you to get turret because it is very effective skill and not getting synergy skill is a huge waste for your whole team.

With my current Spec/Swift and CDR gems, my Homing Missile and Air Raid sometime is not ready, before I reach FP lvl 3 again. Should I stop my Rotation to wait until both skills are ready, before triggering FP3? Or should I still prioritize maxing my FP to enter Barrage Mode as soon as possible?
Good question. For Spec-Swift I recommend you to wait for few second also looking at enemy's movement to get full rotation. If you have to wait for too long time like more than 7~8 seconds you should prioritize maxing FP. It depends on your gem setup too but that's about how it's done.

There are little bit of differences in damage proportion. Spec-swift is more likely to get more damage by normal skills, while spec-crit is more focused on barrage damages. I just finished making part 2 video which will be uploaded in few hours, I hope it would help you get the answer you need.

Smilegate always gives you chance to catch up. It will take some effort, but sooner or later the success chance of gear upgrade will be buffed and you'll be able to catch up. It's never too late bro :)

Since spec increases awakening damage, it is a big part of your burst damage. Turret gives more damage while missile barrage can deal damage in shorter period of time. Turret does huge damage when you press V after it has been summoned, but its auto attacks are strong as well, so you need stationary boss who hopefully stays vulnerable to damage for a long time. I choose between two awakenings according to boss, but usually choose turret since If you try hard, you can find some points where you can deal most damage through turret.
what would be a good 1370-1415 build. I'm thinking FE3 BE3 Spirit Absorption 3? then add HM/KBW /Hitmaster later? or should spirit absorption be the one added later
If you go with spec-crit FE-BE-SA would be fine and comfy. If you go with spec-swift FE-BE and Grudge, Adrenaline, KBW, HM, Cursed Doll for last engraving. Anything valid would just work fine if you know how to play spec arti :)

I want to build a spec swiftness arti but base on my understanding. spec also increase fp effectiveness, therefore increasing the crit rate once fp is prop. At fp level 3, will the crit rate be high enough to use kbw? Lastly would u recommend barrage to be level 3 or level 1? Thanks in advance 😁
I cannot understand some of your questions because of my short English, but if you are asking if spec increases crit rate at firepower level 3 via firepower effectiveness, it does not. Only 40% increase by FE3 is fixed regardless of your spec. But still, you've got crit rate from FE3(40%), necklace(for spec-crit 15~20%), adrenaline(up to 15%), item set(20~25%) so you might be able to get over 60% of crit chance which is enough to use KBW. It is even better if you got crit chance synergy in your party. I'd like to recommend barrage 3 for spec-crit, barrage 1 for spec-swift. Also for 3331 or 33331 barrage 1 is a good choice. You understood my question well enough, there is no issue with your English. I see you advise spirit absorption as 1 of ur main engraving in growing stage. What do you mean by growing stage?
Hmm... growing stage is very subjective term but I use it as when upgrading your gears are more effective compared to upgrading gems or card sets. So for my case, I need several million golds to upgrade my weapon, and it only gives me about 1~2% damage increases. If I start buying all the card sets or get lvl 9 gem it costs few hundred thousand of golds. This is where I believe growing stage has ended and in order to increase my dps, I have to upgrade my gems, gear quality, card set to the endgame which I considered inefficient before. So growing stage means the time that you can get budget setup for your gems or card set, and just keep upgrading your gears with extra money you saved from gems, accessories, etc and it actually makes you stronger.

Unfortunately, I'm not knowledgeable enough to make a guide for swift arti. The basic is to use skills as often as possible whenever cooldowns are ready. loawa.com/char/%EC%9E%8Esae This guy recently posted on KR community that he reached decent DPS as swift arti, so you can probably check out his skills and rune settings.
That would be the first thing I discuss in the next video. I think I did pretty good job on what spec arti is, but 'why' part wasn't. The reason that more and more people are playing spec arti and especially after recent update remaining swift-crit arties are changing their build to spec arti is because swift arti is bad. Beside being outdamaged by other classes which have 40~50 lower i-level than you, many people feel like swift arti is not contributing to your team enough. Artillerist's normal skill damages are low. Maybe because you have good stagger, or you are tanky, anyway you have ridiculously low damage. But right now, I guess many artillerists in NA/EU are satisfactory, and that's natural. For right now, your stagger damages help you and your teammates do more damage, you are reliable since you stay alive while other squishy classes keep dying and reviving. So you're contributing your team by doing decent damage while saving revive chances. You would not feel the damage gap that much because right now in NA/EU, people have low average tripod levels. Tripods do amazing jobs in scaling your damage, and although some of them are fixed in recent update, artillerist still have bad tripods. Also many builds in NA/EU are in, forgive me for saying this, primal stage. Many other classes haven't reached the appropriate stats and item sets to perform optimal rotation. That's why swift arti, having simple mechanism and good class engraving is comparatively strong. But swift arti is an outdated setup and if you want better performances, you need to bear more complex mechanisms and risks in further raids. You might feel like I'm too crazy about damages, but believe it or not most artillerist including myself were swift arties in the past time and I was satisfactory about being reliable and being a stagger expert. But as further raids release, you don't have revive in legion raids, and some of them need everyone to stay alive until particular time. Boss attacks are very strong, and some just instantly kill you if you make a mistake. So your best strategy is to deal damage faster, and make less chance of your teammates making mistakes. Your survival is not enough. If you're not dealing enough damage, you are responsible for teammates' death. The value of your shield and strong stagger fades too. First of all, some bosses(starts with some bosses, and becomes most bosses in the future) have infinite stagger gauge. Which means you cannot stagger them except in certain mechanics. I mentioned that your skill damages are low probably because of high stagger and shields, but you are sacrificing your damage over what whirlwind grenade can do. There will be many CC's in boss attack and it would lower your value of shields. Also boss will move around a lot, so your practical damage in raids will decrease too. How you deal damage is a problem too. You have to constantly attack the enemy, which becomes impossible in endgame raids. What Koreans call 'gimmick' or 'pattern' will appear, and force you to do certain puzzles to survive. If your damage is focused on short period of time, you deal damage and wait for your cooldown while doing the 'gimmicks', but swift arti will lose a lot of dps in that situation. I deliberately avoided mentioning in which boss you are going to face which difficulties, since I don't want to spoil the fun of trying new raids. I love this game too much and game deserves a respect. But I'm sure at some point you are going to realize like I did, that meta of the game and many other complex reasons make swift arti a bad build. But still, swift arti is considered good class when trying out raid for the first time and also, you have good times left. I wouldn't tell you to change your build right now, but I have to tell you that swift arti has an expiration date.

Is it better to use your awakening to generate firepower meter quickly, or better to use awakening at full firepower meter for more damage? Also, is there ever any reason to not activate the laser turret option for the awakening? It just seems strange that you have to press V again if it is always better...
If I haven't used V in the video, it's just my mistake lol Ideally if you want maximum trixion dps, it is better to use awakening at the end of your rotation, so when your gauge is becoming zero. And one or two hit from awakening + forward barrage + little bit of flamethrower will reach FP3, and then you setup your turret and press V and enter barrage mode. But in real raids there are only limited chances that enemy don't move around and let you full hit awakening. And also you have limited time duration of dealing damage because of mechanics that come out according to enemy's health bar. So like full rotation + awakening + another barrage mode takes like 30 seconds and usually you don't get that long time to deal damage. To sum up, in real raids, I believe it is more important to find the moment you can full hit(or closest to full hit) awakening regardless of your firepower, just focusing on using V on FP3. Also awakenings have about 5 min CD, and if the raid takes like 7 minutes, you wanna make sure to use your first awakening at first two minutes even though it is not the perfect chance, so that you can use 2 awakenings during the raid. These all put together, it is very conditional like every other aspects of spec arti. It really depends on situation, even your teammates' dps and you have to design and improvise your rotation simultaneously.

Hey man, so I’m 1490 on my artillerist NA and I was wondering what relic gear set should I run with spec/crit. Also what 5 engravings should I run with the most damage? I’m currently running crit/swift but I’m going to switch to spec/crit once the update comes.
I suggest Redemption with [Grudge or Hit master], Keen Blunt, Firepower enhancement, Barrage enhancement, Spirit Absorption. Use one high as hell gem for barrage damage and others, none or only low level ones. You can exclude Spirit Absorption and use both Grudge and Hit master, but I don't recommend it because your supports will not have relic gear which increases your movement and attack speed, and you will have to perform some moving mechanics in Vykas. It is very complicated because if you get swift you get to use worse relic set, if you get crit you need at least level 9 CDR gems to perform ideal rotation. So you have to compromise in some point and this, I believe is the best point. I ran through every legion raids with my main Artillerist and 5 other alt Artillerist, and also my 5~6 friends used the same setup for their alts. Turns out Hit master / KBW / Spirit Absorption / FE / BE was my personal best setup in growing stage. I'm planning to make a guide about this build and overall financial POV in probably part 3, so until then, please remember the gem part and try to use barrage mode every time you reach FP3. Unlike ideal rotation, you use homing barrage, air raids, multiple rocket launcher regardless of your firepower gauge. Just focus on charging your firepower as fast as possible and use all the skills and even barrage mode auto attacks during 20 seconds of your buff. It will outdamage every one of your teammates.
@@avix2321 oki so I’m guna be running redemption with spec/crit and atm my gems are all lvl 7. With my plan setup for the next 2 months are 2/2/2 - argos/redemption/hallucinations or nightmare. If I go for R/H set it’s going to take 5 weeks as for R/N set it’s only 4 weeks of mats. As for my engraving I can run FE/BE/HM/KBW/SO since you said my support wont have a full relic set for M/A speed. It is also going to be hella expensive with any engraving/grudge jewelry. Do you think With the buff on art skills 5% plus the changes on his skills HM is now beneficial on all of his skills than grudge for now? 16% more damage plus 20% less damage received compare to just a 20% increase damage. I know it sounds dumb but getting one lvl 9 gem for barrage damage would do a lot more damage by less cost than your current setup lol trust me HM has always been great engraving for arty, but its downside is that it does not apply to your awakening and bleed. Dpswise, grudge is better by 4% overall + 20% awakening damage, but the reason I recommended HM was because it gives you just enough tank to ignore some attacks and just keep dealing your damage when you're in appropriate level for raids. But since you're in max level, grudge instead of HM would be better for valtan(1445) and vykas(1460), and if you are planning to push your i-level after new gear comes out, you're gonna be fine with grudge even in KuKu(1475). My setup was spec-crit hallucination(before redemption release), FE/BE/HM/KBW/SO/adrenaline 1 with lvl 10 barrage gem(damage), lvl 7 energy field(CDR). You can see that I'm outdamaging everyone(잔혹한 혈투사 means cruel fighter) in every phases. You can also check out how I rotate my skills in ways that suits my gem setup.

My personal favorite one is spec-crit redemption(relic set) with spirit absorption. Spec-swift: you get CDR, with low-level CDR gem for homing barrage and air raids, you can use homing-air-barrage QEWQ-homing-air combo more easily. Spec-crit: you get crit chance, so you can get your minimum or optimal crit chance without help of your item sets. Which means in current KR meta, you get to choose 'better' item set. But in order to do homing-air-barrage-homing-air combo you need high CDR gems. Things about relic sets are not really applicable for you guys, so I'm planning to guide you about managing your crit chance, CDR, damage proportions according to your stat, engravings, gems on my next video.

On another note I've been wondering why the bleed rune is good on turret and I've concluded to 2 possible reasons; 1, turret has multiple tick damage it refreshes the bleed rune or 2, the bleed rune increases duration of passive -12% defence. Which would it be?
Thanks a lot bro :) 1. Bleed rune is good for classes with big self-damage buff. Spec arti is one of them since you get damage increase from your identity(firepower) and you stay at high firepower level most of the time. 2. You're right about the multiple ticks. They refresh bleed rune(although it is up to chances) for each tick. 3. Applying armor destruction and applying bleed have the same mechanism. You are summoning turret by some period, and their auto attacks apply armor destruction/bleed at the same time. So it is easier to manage both debuffs at the same time.

Thank you! Barricade is considerable cheap engraving for swift arti, but unfortunately not valid for spec arti. For spec-swift I recommend Grudge-KBW-FE-BE or Grudge-KBW-Hit Master-FE-BE1. If you want to exclude grudge, which I think is valid for spec arti, replace it with Cursed Doll or Hit Master and it would work fine.
@@avix2321 so after some struggle I manage to get 9 HM 6 KBW stone so I am going for relic HM 3/FE 3/KBW 3/Adrenaline 3/BE 1 :) now I need t find one accersory with BE +5 and with HM or Adrenaline which is barely existing on EU or if it exists it costs so much gold :( which second stat and set would you choose ? I would say crit and salvation ? or swift salvatioN ? :D also I would like to ask, would you go for under 50 quality ? because all my legendary acc are 90+ and 50 relic is same like 90-100 leg in terms of spec so I guess at least 60-70 relic ? and under 50 its not worth ?
I suggest you to try both builds on Trixion bro :( To me it is too obvious that uploading a comparison video is embarrassing. Crit build is an easy but unoptimized build that works in early stage of the game.

Hey there, I've only got a small question to verify if my plans are good, I plan on going spec-swift arti after 1445.
The relic set I aim to get is 6 piece hallucination for 15% crit rate (+5% on 6 piece effect) with firepower3/barrage1/grudge3/hit master 3/keen blunt 3.
Is this a good relic set and engraving for spec/swift?

Spec-Swift or Spec-Crit is completely a matter of preference.
I personally prefer Spec-Crit with Spirit Absorption because you have higher atk/move speed but similar damage expectation for barrage mode, but Spec-Swift is more popular choice in KR.
For Spec-Swift you usually get hallucination, for Spec-Crit you get redemption(salvation).
If you're not sure about changing your build, do some test in Trixion by spec build.

Maybe you will go over this in your next video, but can you explain why BE3 is not good for spec swift. For example, I am 1445 now with spec swift 33311 (Adre/KBW/FP/BE1/SA1) If I had the option for getting another engraving to 3, should I get BE (my choice) or another either hit master or cursed doll or SA (and switch to crit/spec neck). I am speaking from a future perspective (what would be better long term to invest in). Not sure if my question is clear but thanks for the video.

I think it is a matter of personal preferences. I prefer BE3 personally, and if I choose BE3 my other builds naturally become spec-crit with SA. Part 2 will explain why. It is not a matter of BE3 being good or bad. If you got budget to get 33331, you have to get at least one engraving for lvl 1, and BE1 does not suck, while most other engravings suck as lvl 1. If I was in your shoes, I might eliminate SA1 and get Grudge/HM/CD 3 instead.
@@avix2321 Thanks for the reply. Is the real benefit for BE3 from BE1 the damage or the firepower gain. For example, is the firepower gain that much more going for 1 to 3? or is it mostly for the damage.
Both damage and meter gain are beneficial but I guess damage is more important. Meter gain difference makes you use one more forward barrage, but since BE1 is used for spec-swift mostly, you have shorter forward barrage cooldown as well. So meter gain does not really matter in that case.

I have a question that may sound a bit silly, I'm running spec/crit build and I wonder if I should replace my Napalm shot with turret? I know the turrets armor destruction is great and I used it with my crit/swift build. The reason why I chose Napalm is to enhance the stagger damage ^^'
No worries bro that's not a silly question. But I highly recommend you to get turret because it is very effective skill and not getting synergy skill is a huge waste for your whole team.

With my current Spec/Swift and CDR gems, my Homing Missile and Air Raid sometime is not ready, before I reach FP lvl 3 again. Should I stop my Rotation to wait until both skills are ready, before triggering FP3? Or should I still prioritize maxing my FP to enter Barrage Mode as soon as possible?
Good question. For Spec-Swift I recommend you to wait for few second
also looking at enemy's movement to get full rotation.
If you have to wait for too long time like more than 7~8 seconds
you should prioritize maxing FP.
It depends on your gem setup too but that's about how it's done.

Grudge, Firepower Enhancement, Keen Blunt Weapon(if you're planning to get crit rate argos set)
+ Barrage Enhancement lvl 1 seems fine.
lvl 7 damage gem for Barrage, lvl 4~5 damage/CDR gems for homing barrage, air raids, multiple rocket launcher, lvl 4~5 CDR gems for forward barrage, energy field and you'll be great. Thanks!

There are little bit of differences in damage proportion. Spec-swift is more likely to get more damage by normal skills, while spec-crit is more focused on barrage damages. I just finished making part 2 video which will be uploaded in few hours, I hope it would help you get the answer you need.

Smilegate always gives you chance to catch up. It will take some effort, but sooner or later the success chance of gear upgrade will be buffed and you'll be able to catch up. It's never too late bro :)

I've a question: for the awakening why is it better to use turret instead of missile barrage? Just because it is easier to avoid miss on boss or also the damage is different? I saw that now turret is buffed
Since spec increases awakening damage, it is a big part of your burst damage.
Turret gives more damage while missile barrage can deal damage in shorter period of time.
Turret does huge damage when you press V after it has been summoned, but its auto attacks are strong as well,
so you need stationary boss who hopefully stays vulnerable to damage for a long time.
I choose between two awakenings according to boss, but usually choose turret
since If you try hard, you can find some points where you can deal most damage through turret.
what would be a good 1370-1415 build. I'm thinking FE3 BE3 Spirit Absorption 3?
then add HM/KBW /Hitmaster later? or should spirit absorption be the one added later
If you go with spec-crit FE-BE-SA would be fine and comfy.
If you go with spec-swift FE-BE and Grudge, Adrenaline, KBW, HM, Cursed Doll for last engraving.
Anything valid would just work fine if you know how to play spec arti :)

There is 1 thing I need your help to understand. I want to build a spec swiftness arti but base on my understanding. spec also increase fp effectiveness, therefore increasing the crit rate once fp is prop. At fp level 3, will the crit rate be high enough to use kbw?
Lastly would u recommend barrage to be level 3 or level 1?

I cannot understand some of your questions because of my short English, but if you are asking if spec increases crit rate at firepower level 3 via firepower effectiveness, it does not. Only 40% increase by FE3 is fixed regardless of your spec. But still, you've got crit rate from FE3(40%), necklace(for spec-crit 15~20%), adrenaline(up to 15%), item set(20~25%) so you might be able to get over 60% of crit chance which is enough to use KBW. It is even better if you got crit chance synergy in your party.
I'd like to recommend barrage 3 for spec-crit, barrage 1 for spec-swift.
Also for 3331 or 33331 barrage 1 is a good choice.

You understood my question well enough, there is no issue with your English. I see you advise spirit absorption as 1 of ur main engraving in growing stage. What do you mean by growing stage?
Hmm... growing stage is very subjective term but I use it as when upgrading your gears are more effective compared to upgrading gems or card sets. So for my case, I need several million golds to upgrade my weapon, and it only gives me about 1~2% damage increases. If I start buying all the card sets or get lvl 9 gem it costs few hundred thousand of golds. This is where I believe growing stage has ended and in order to increase my dps, I have to upgrade my gems, gear quality, card set to the endgame which I considered inefficient before. So growing stage means the time that you can get budget setup for your gems or card set, and just keep upgrading your gears with extra money you saved from gems, accessories, etc and it actually makes you stronger.

KBW is a big investment so one legendary book for class engraving, probably FE seems fine.

I think I did pretty good job on what spec arti is, but 'why' part wasn't.
The reason that more and more people are playing spec arti and especially after recent update
remaining swift-crit arties are changing their build to spec arti is because swift arti is bad.
Beside being outdamaged by other classes which have 40~50 lower i-level than you,
many people feel like swift arti is not contributing to your team enough.
Artillerist's normal skill damages are low. Maybe because you have good stagger,
or you are tanky, anyway you have ridiculously low damage.
But right now, I guess many artillerists in NA/EU are satisfactory, and that's natural.
For right now, your stagger damages help you and your teammates do more damage, you are reliable since you stay alive while other squishy classes keep dying and reviving. So you're contributing your team by doing decent damage while saving revive chances.
You would not feel the damage gap that much because right now in NA/EU, people have low average tripod levels. Tripods do amazing jobs in scaling your damage, and although some of them are fixed in recent update, artillerist still have bad tripods. Also many builds in NA/EU are in, forgive me for saying this, primal stage. Many other classes haven't reached the appropriate stats and item sets to perform optimal rotation. That's why swift arti, having simple mechanism and good class engraving is comparatively strong. But swift arti is an outdated setup and if you want better performances, you need to bear more complex mechanisms and risks in further raids.
You might feel like I'm too crazy about damages, but believe it or not most artillerist including myself were swift arties in the past time and I was satisfactory about being reliable and being a stagger expert. But as further raids release, you don't have revive in legion raids, and some of them need everyone to stay alive until particular time. Boss attacks are very strong, and some just instantly kill you if you make a mistake. So your best strategy is to deal damage faster, and make less chance of your teammates making mistakes. Your survival is not enough. If you're not dealing enough damage, you are responsible for teammates' death.
The value of your shield and strong stagger fades too. First of all, some bosses(starts with some bosses, and becomes most bosses in the future) have infinite stagger gauge. Which means you cannot stagger them except in certain mechanics. I mentioned that your skill damages are low probably because of high stagger and shields, but you are sacrificing your damage over what whirlwind grenade can do. There will be many CC's in boss attack and it would lower your value of shields. Also boss will move around a lot, so your practical damage in raids will decrease too.
How you deal damage is a problem too. You have to constantly attack the enemy, which becomes impossible in endgame raids. What Koreans call 'gimmick' or 'pattern' will appear, and force you to do certain puzzles to survive. If your damage is focused on short period of time, you deal damage and wait for your cooldown while doing the 'gimmicks', but swift arti will lose a lot of dps in that situation.
I deliberately avoided mentioning in which boss you are going to face which difficulties, since I don't want to spoil the fun of trying new raids. I love this game too much and game deserves a respect. But I'm sure at some point you are going to realize like I did, that meta of the game and many other complex reasons make swift arti a bad build. But still, swift arti is considered good class when trying out raid for the first time and also, you have good times left. I wouldn't tell you to change your build right now, but I have to tell you that swift arti has an expiration date.

Is it better to use your awakening to generate firepower meter quickly, or better to use awakening at full firepower meter for more damage? Also, is there ever any reason to not activate the laser turret option for the awakening? It just seems strange that you have to press V again if it is always better...

Ideally if you want maximum trixion dps, it is better to use awakening at the end of your rotation, so when your gauge is becoming zero.
And one or two hit from awakening + forward barrage + little bit of flamethrower will reach FP3, and then you setup your turret and press V and enter barrage mode.
But in real raids there are only limited chances that enemy don't move around and let you full hit awakening.
And also you have limited time duration of dealing damage because of mechanics that come out according to enemy's health bar.
So like full rotation + awakening + another barrage mode takes like 30 seconds and usually you don't get that long time to deal damage.
To sum up, in real raids, I believe it is more important to find the moment you can full hit(or closest to full hit) awakening regardless of your firepower, just focusing on using V on FP3.
Also awakenings have about 5 min CD, and if the raid takes like 7 minutes, you wanna make sure to use your first awakening at first two minutes even though it is not the perfect chance, so that you can use 2 awakenings during the raid.
These all put together, it is very conditional like every other aspects of spec arti. It really depends on situation, even your teammates' dps and you have to design and improvise your rotation simultaneously.

Damage gap is about 30~50%. Spec arti is considered tier 1 class now while swift arti is not in the tier list :(

Hey man, so I’m 1490 on my artillerist NA and I was wondering what relic gear set should I run with spec/crit. Also what 5 engravings should I run with the most damage? I’m currently running crit/swift but I’m going to switch to spec/crit once the update comes.
I suggest Redemption with [Grudge or Hit master], Keen Blunt, Firepower enhancement, Barrage enhancement, Spirit Absorption. Use one high as hell gem for barrage damage and others, none or only low level ones.
You can exclude Spirit Absorption and use both Grudge and Hit master, but I don't recommend it because your supports will not have relic gear which increases your movement and attack speed, and you will have to perform some moving mechanics in Vykas.
It is very complicated because if you get swift you get to use worse relic set, if you get crit you need at least level 9 CDR gems to perform ideal rotation. So you have to compromise in some point and this, I believe is the best point.
I ran through every legion raids with my main Artillerist and 5 other alt Artillerist, and also my 5~6 friends used the same setup for their alts. Turns out Hit master / KBW / Spirit Absorption / FE / BE was my personal best setup in growing stage.
I'm planning to make a guide about this build and overall financial POV in probably part 3, so until then, please remember the gem part and try to use barrage mode every time you reach FP3. Unlike ideal rotation, you use homing barrage, air raids, multiple rocket launcher regardless of your firepower gauge. Just focus on charging your firepower as fast as possible and use all the skills and even barrage mode auto attacks during 20 seconds of your buff. It will outdamage every one of your teammates.
@@avix2321 oki so I’m guna be running redemption with spec/crit and atm my gems are all lvl 7. With my plan setup for the next 2 months are 2/2/2 - argos/redemption/hallucinations or nightmare. If I go for R/H set it’s going to take 5 weeks as for R/N set it’s only 4 weeks of mats.
As for my engraving I can run FE/BE/HM/KBW/SO since you said my support wont have a full relic set for M/A speed. It is also going to be hella expensive with any engraving/grudge jewelry.
Do you think With the buff on art skills 5% plus the changes on his skills HM is now beneficial on all of his skills than grudge for now? 16% more damage plus 20% less damage received compare to just a 20% increase damage.

I know it sounds dumb but getting one lvl 9 gem for barrage damage would do a lot more damage by less cost than your current setup lol trust me
HM has always been great engraving for arty, but its downside is that it does not apply to your awakening and bleed.
Dpswise, grudge is better by 4% overall + 20% awakening damage, but the reason I recommended HM was because it gives you just enough tank to ignore some attacks and just keep dealing your damage when you're in appropriate level for raids.
But since you're in max level, grudge instead of HM would be better for valtan(1445) and vykas(1460), and if you are planning to push your i-level after new gear comes out, you're gonna be fine with grudge even in KuKu(1475). In that case, grudge would be better.

This is me playing Bralshaza hard. My setup was spec-crit hallucination(before redemption release),
FE/BE/HM/KBW/SO/adrenaline 1 with lvl 10 barrage gem(damage), lvl 7 energy field(CDR).
You can see that I'm outdamaging everyone(잔혹한 혈투사 means cruel fighter) in every phases.
You can also check out how I rotate my skills in ways that suits my gem setup.

Get raw damage, crit rate, and crit damage if you don't have KBW in your engravings.
what if i went full crit?
Do you prefer spec swift or spec crit? And what are their downfalls?
My personal favorite one is spec-crit redemption(relic set) with spirit absorption.
Spec-swift: you get CDR, with low-level CDR gem for homing barrage and air raids,
you can use homing-air-barrage QEWQ-homing-air combo more easily.
Spec-crit: you get crit chance, so you can get your minimum or optimal crit chance
without help of your item sets. Which means in current KR meta, you get to choose 'better' item set.
But in order to do homing-air-barrage-homing-air combo you need high CDR gems.
Things about relic sets are not really applicable for you guys,
so I'm planning to guide you about managing your crit chance, CDR, damage proportions
according to your stat, engravings, gems on my next video.

On another note I've been wondering why the bleed rune is good on turret and I've concluded to 2 possible reasons; 1, turret has multiple tick damage it refreshes the bleed rune or 2, the bleed rune increases duration of passive -12% defence. Which would it be?

1. Bleed rune is good for classes with big self-damage buff. Spec arti is one of them since you get damage increase from your identity(firepower) and you stay at high firepower level most of the time.
2. You're right about the multiple ticks. They refresh bleed rune(although it is up to chances) for each tick.
3. Applying armor destruction and applying bleed have the same mechanism. You are summoning turret by some period, and their auto attacks apply armor destruction/bleed at the same time. So it is easier to manage both debuffs at the same time.

Barricade is considerable cheap engraving for swift arti, but unfortunately not valid for spec arti.
For spec-swift I recommend Grudge-KBW-FE-BE or Grudge-KBW-Hit Master-FE-BE1.
If you want to exclude grudge, which I think is valid for spec arti, replace it with Cursed Doll or Hit Master and it would work fine.

I would say crit and salvation ? or swift salvatioN ? :D also I would like to ask, would you go for under 50 quality ? because all my legendary acc are 90+ and 50 relic is same like 90-100 leg in terms of spec so I guess at least 60-70 relic ? and under 50 its not worth ?

Crit build is an easy but unoptimized build that works in early stage of the game.
