I am not sure if it is more iconic but Scar winning secret life because Pearl falls off a cliff when he was not paying attention is right up there. Though there are a LOT of fun endings. Limited Life has been my favourite because of all the dynamics were super fun.
Yeah if any series were ever to be revisited, limited life would be the one I'd want to see the most. Conceptually it just leads to a lot of really unique scenarios where the players actually have to fight for their lives actively when they are low. My only gripe with the series was that skynet and especially the upper layer took away from a lot of the interaction, as it was pretty hard to interact on the ground in fear of bombing, and in the sky in fear of being shot or knocked off. I think a limited life re-do would be 10/10.

The Life series is the best hardcore SMP in existence, and its not even that close IMO. Grian has a real gift for coming up with really cool minecraft content, on hermitcraft as well. Its nothing against other hardcore series, its just that the players have such good chemistry and it always ends up with some fantastic storyline once everything is said and done. Its like part soap opera and part game of thrones with the betrayals lol

actually in hermitcraft impulse actually created a machine like the one that you, joel, and grian made where you drop a tnt minecart to destroy blocks but for impulse did he created a sort of drill by using the auto crafter and let craft only tnt and the other auto crafter to craft the tnt minecart and out a power rail and when it falls he put a huge dent in magic mountain

It had a few of my favourite parts like the 3rd life final, aha, double life final and jimmy funeral for limited life but i think 3 it missed things like tango rage in last life that hole episode was hilarious and the bad boys puns on the roof and grian and mumbo fail to find diamonds in last life the whole no I hid my diamond right here thing was classic
My favorite clip of all time definitely is lizzy spying on jimmy and skizz being very inappropriate😂 watched it hundreds of times now and i still laugh my ass off 😂
I think that the Third Life finale was extra special because it also gave context to the Limited Life finale. It came down to Scott, Martyn, and Impulse at the end, and they decided they were going to recreate that moment... Only for Martyn to betray them all with the greatest villainous monologue at the end. More of the same would have been alright, I guess... but the subversion of expectations was masterfully done. (Especially considering the three finalists are also the three best video editors in the series).

The 3rd life finale was definitely the top choice, the forced betrayal was amazing. Just an absolutely amazing finsh. That was what got everyone so seriously invested in these series, the high drama and backstabbing, its surprisingly emotional for a block game lol.

I started watching the Life series with Double Life (after discovering these youtubers), so I haven't seen 3rd Life and the other one. Is it worth the time investment? Are they awkward because the gang was still figuring things out?
I'd say it's definitely worth it. Both are really fun and chaotic (for last life I highly recommend watching Joel's pov). As for awkwardness, the closest you'll get to that is maybe the first episode of 3rd life and even that one I wouldn't really call awkward. Things fall into the usual life series chaos pretty quickly. And you can barely even tell that was the first time most of these people met with how comfortable they are already pranking each other and having banter.
Grian's quadruple kill with the tnt minecart deserves to be in the top 10 best moments
