Watching from Zimbabwe. I am a veterinarian but you will be surprised how much there is to learn from this guy even for us animal health professionals. The guy is just amazing. He has gone through a full transformation from agricultural engineer to farmer. Congratulations!!!
I am a farmer from South Africa, l will look at farming with new perspectives after watching this video, keep up your insparational work, God bless you.
Impressive. So much to learn. Kenya has everything it needs. It just needs minds like this guy. basically he is saying the entire northern and eastern Kenya that we call dry land an inhabitable place is actually a gold mine called the gala goat that thrives and does well in those conditions. The meat is the sweetest in the world and demand can not even be met. What a nice problem we have. Now an imaginative mind like govt official, governor would say why not turn the entire North and eastern Kenya into a Gala goat hub. Copy exactly what this guy is doing. Imagine he has no issue with water or feed because he has planned well. He has a water pan that can last five years without rain and waters 700 cows, 3000 goats and chickens. Now imagine if the entire N and E Kenya replicated what this guy is doing? This guy are the ones who should be on the table who have real solutions and not suite wearing officials who know nothing about farming but regajitate the same old ways of doing things. Wish the President was watching this.
I have followed what you wrote. You have spoken wisdom. You're right 👍🏽😊. These are men who should be allowed to speak and advise the national leaders.

Watching an endless flock of goats looks like the seasonal migration of the wildebeests across the Mara River from Serengeti to Masai Mara. Well done brother. Well said, once you have passion in what you do, nothing can stop you.

Sir your sound knowledge of the breed, the process & your journey is very inspiring. Keep it up....modernise so younger generations would want to get into it
I admire this guy. he is hard worker and passionate about his animal. but some facts Gala gaots is originated from Somalia. Kenyans are just learning about Gala goats. they are the best goats, hardy and they love hot climate. Boar goats ectremely hypted in my opion.
This Matt goat farmer is onto something, the Galla goat, a strong breed of goat has a reputation for surviving droughts thanks to its higher resistance to opportunistic diseases that eliminate ordinary goats due to weakening body immune system.
Somali goats Aka Galla goats is the best goats in the world’ their meat and milk both tests so delicious’ we are blessed to have such goats allhamdulillah

It's very unfortunate that the people making decisions on Food Security and Agricultural Sector in Africa are politicians not experienced farmers like this.... this is why the East ( Chinese and Japanese) are scoring it in mechanization and revolution of both industrial and agricultural sector. The western Degree's and Master's should not be equated to the level of intelligence and industrial minds in Africa. Infact in most scenarios our education syllabuses are outdated to changes in the current generation and the reality on the ground. If such a farmer can train maximumly 50 farmer's in each and every country, then those farmers train their citizens.... Africa would be feeding the world. Unfortunately, our compromised mainstream media gives them 5 to 8 minutes after highlighting gumbling advertis and toxic political news. We must change the narrative and overrun the occasion otherwise we'll remain slaves forever. Kudos Matt, Hongera Aim Agriculture. #VivaAfrica!
