I disagree, i joined next ias this year in feb, i was there in orn until i had to come back due to major health issue(bells palsy) i think its too expensive yeah but any aspirant must spend 6-8 months in orn cause you understand things that can be only felt there itself and then come back to home.....ii actually did the same thing(not by choice) cause i had to come back as i had no other option but yes i feel that was something that god wanted me to see 6 months there understanding everything and now i am doing my classes online and i have recovered and i now feel great about my prep so yes orn is important but of prep and one should spend time there for say 6-8 months and then he or she may come back home or go to some cheaper place.
i think take a online coaching along with peer groups and once u clear prelims then go there if needed, back in 2014 NITC have lots of study groups specifically for ese,gate,upsc.
