    I play airsoft in Utah with a team/group called Black Thorn Airsoft; a few years ago we used to go up to Camp Williams Army National Guard Base and play airsoft on their MOUT facility, FOB, and a forested area on the outskirts of the base. There were about 10 of us that were able to go up there and on the third time out we were posing as an OPFOR for a very large number of National guard soldier, (All newer guys that had not gone to basic training or just got back from basic) There were four platoons of the guardsmen and they sent one platoon into the field at a time and our team "BTA" had to set up an ambush and try and take them all out, while the guardsmen had to quickly come up with a plan and work as a team to take us out, the OPFOR. We destroyed them pretty badly haha, but it was an awesome experience, one I will never forget, Sgt. Day, the man who was running the whole thing thanked us afterwords and had all the guardsmen thank us, we then thanked all of them for their service and for the awesome experience. Sgt. Day then presented us with an American flag patch, and a dog tag that said Alpha Company and had their insignia on it, and on the back side it said the Army values.

    For the first time seeing this video 13 years later, I still remember the slipknot song "wait and bleed" was in place of drowning pool's "sinner." Great CQB video still to this date!!!

    practicing room clearing is so much fun

  • @sacriel
    @sacriel 15 років тому +1

    i dont understand how this stuff works, if i was sat in the room with a m249 aimed at the door, and a stream of people checked the room while moving for 0.5sec before the next person moves in, they would all get wasted unless 100% of room clearence use a flashbang

  • @williamLongino
    @williamLongino 13 років тому

    @funkyfenman .. its actually called stacking. A four man stack is much more effective at slicing the pie and dominating a room after breaching. When we were at the JRTC, the Brits were using 4 man stacks as well..

  • @GhillieShooter08

    @HESXENON This will sound wrong but the first person acts as a body shield. the second guy can drag the first guy back if anything bad happens and he can get the injured out of harms way quicker. Also, there are two guns down range so there is more of a chance of hitting some one plus better coverage

  • @pottere1
    @pottere1 15 років тому

    I've never been in a house where someone sat in a corner with an M249 waiting fos us. Hard Knock raids we did with Flash Bangs and after the first rounds alerted the village we were there we used G charges for alternate breech points. MOUT works when done properly, but its not like paintball at your local range where people sit around waiting for you.

    @ComradeSap True. Since only one inboard corner is being cleared, any assailant in the uncleared corner can blast the entry man's six.

    @1xXitachiXx1 This video was probably recorded a long time ago. When we got out of Vietnam, we had mostly woodland gear, but then we went to the desert. We were not prepared for the environment and wore what we had. Now we have updated our supply though.

    Great execution of high/low cut to clear outboard corner at 26 seconds. Good transition to handgun for greater maneuverability. The back up soldier needs tobe quicker with the crossover entry- the entry man is vulnerable for about two seconds to getting shot from behind....

  • @BringerOfD
    @BringerOfD 15 років тому

    in there defense, they dont look like seasoned troops, that was probably just footage of relatively new troops doing their first walk through to get the movements right before they start speeding things up.

    @williamLongino and by left handed, I actually am left-handed myself, but in close quarter battle, you have to swap hands, if you know what i mean, if for exsample you are going to check a Right corner you use right-handed, and i Left corner, Left-handed!

  • @Slurrps

    I know right. Thats just for basic training too. If you take a look at the specialized shools for the army, like Ranger School, the training is harsh, and grueling, not to mention the additional training you are given once you join your unit. Go Army!

    @doc86military ... Harmony church was leveld a few years back to make room for the armor training center and barracks... I was there shortly before they cleared what was left and got a few pics of the remaining bldg's. I hated to see it go. Lot of memories in that place!

    @CodenameQuincy ... You're not missing anything. They took something that was already easy to use with little time on the range, pimped it out with shit you really don't need and called it better... Range finder and new electronic sight system. Sure it will let you put it 100 yds down range if that's what you want.... Doesn't do shit though for lateral drift. That and constantly having to re-set the sight... (If it aint broke, don't fix it)

    @MrDrag0npunch the idea is to get your team in the room and kill everyone inside as fast as possible. the heavier armored guy is probably gonna be carryin a saw or somethin, which is a slower reaction speed than m4. it's gonna take him longer to identify a hostile target, aim, and pull the trigger with an mg. by that time they obviously know more guys are coming, so they're already either killing him or aiming at the doorway with their fingers on the triggers

  • @williamLongino
    @williamLongino 13 років тому

    @Yeahbuddymd ... I can't recall the exact weight but it is top heavy. Even without the RF and ES ( thankfully they are detachable!) it's still a tad heavy. The electronic sight just dosen't make sense to me! I'm more a fan of the traditional leaf sight, lighter and requires no batteries! Also aiming in general takes getting used to. Think it's just one of those things that they made overly complicated when there was no need!

    OT didn't explode on the AT4? What is OT? Like the actual rocket in the tube got shot and the rocket shot out but didn't detonate?

    @williamLongino dude,what's the title? US ARMY!! yeah, they are using m16a4, 55,6x45mm NATO, fires burst fire and has a extremely high jam rate. and they use M4A1 as you see in the video, uses the same calibre, but has full auto instead of burst, and it has the same HIGH jam rate, and don't come with that if I dont know the differance. the reason i said m16, is bacouse m16a4 and m4a1 is very simular... so just beat it!

    @manowartrexspacefan now am not 100% sure about this, but i don't think airsoft guns are used in training sims ever. i thing they use blank rounds and an instructor decides who is hit / injured . because you have to be accustomed to the rifle's recoil

    The Green Berets are Special Forces (a term exclusive to the Army). The Rangers are Special Operations. The Rangers are part of the Army, and have a history predating the Marines. Rangers are meant to be a highly trained, extremely mobile, light infantry, that is always available for rapid deployment anywhere in the world, or shock troops. Their motto is "Rangers Lead the Way." The purpose of the Marines has become very similar. In the Army a tour of duty is typically 12-15 months, Marines 6-7
