10:50 There are two probable answers to 'Where did they come from?' The most likely is that units generally don't sit in place, they're on map with an objective, and will move to accomplish it. (usually secure an area or engage a unit. There are some area patrols as well.) So while they weren't there immediately, they weren't far off and came upon you looting. The less likely is they simply spawned close to you. While you haven't yet worked it out, the detection/threat system is pretty clearly signposted. Before you opened fire they hadn't engaged you yet. (mind, you likely would have taken a couple of hits fleeing from that distance.) The spawning system remains a work in progress. (also, you failed to notice the Hunter Killer warning, but that's easy to miss for very new players. For the record, those weren't Hunter Killers.)
12:03 That's a case of the spawn system not working right yet. It's supposed to be that units spawn in and out relative to your proximity, but being in an Alpha state, the game doesn't always do this right. (especially it's coding to not pop things in where you can see. I suspect the fog might have been a contributing factor here, as it blocks LoS for you and enemies so that might have been a spot not visible to you for just a moment, making it a valid placement.
One thing watching blind playthroughs has shown me to advice Fundog about is making sure they tell people about the alert system and hostility. Again and again I see people panic open fire on units nearby that weren't even suspicious of them yet. (See 12:26) The system is intended to give people time to get away from a squad before it engages them, but often people open fire on reflex. The red 0 markers for 'engaging you' and the ? circle of suspicious are both visible at 12:30, but new players don't have what it means explained to them in the game yet, so they end up taking fights they didn't need to. Another example is 12:58, where the back half of the squad you engaged stopped being hostile to you because they saw a hostile unit to engage and prioritized that. (The missing 0 markers show that.)
Again, the tutorialization needs major work. Your not knowing you can 'grab and go' loot without searching puts you at significant risk you could avoid. (of course, nothing tells you about identified it by dropping it and picking it back up either.) Interestingly, you don't get told about the stagger mechanic either. (which applies to you and enemies) I'm reasonably sure that at 18:52 you got staggered by the damage, though it might just be adjusting to how your model in game matches the visual, instead of being centered to your point of view. (I've gotten hung up dozens of times because of that, eventually you get better about it, but it's still an issue.)
I sympathize with the 'there's no water!' situation early on, it's a matter of map knowledge to know where water may be found.

@Sorain1 The "stagger" I believe is something to do with the collision against walls. It seems that in multiple runs ive done, when I turn corners while edging along a wall or object, I get sort of "stuck". Either it is because I am not turning the mouse well enough durikg the springlt since there is no use of A or D during a sprint, or theres some type of collision issue ive noticed with walls being a little bit more out than what they seem.
To note on the aggro system, Fun Dog announced in their discord there were issues with inconsistent icons or aggros from hostile forces players were reporting, so I didnt trust not seeing the red eye for enemy heads. On top of that, toward the end, I was engaged by forces from a distance despite not seeing a red eye for their heads.
I love the game, but it does need more workXD

most the time i just press loot all. don't even see a single item. if someone die at that spot meaning some enemy patrol nearby.
get in yoink get out. you can sort it later in safe spot.

Yeah, I honestly hope they add a 'check unknown loot in bag' button for the inventory screen. As it is, the whole 'dump it on ground and instantly know' is... clunky. Plus, you can see if it's ammo just from the number of an item, since nothing but ammo stacks.
Still, it's a nicely viable tactic to grab and check later.

I just fraggin wish water wasnt such a difficult thing to fond when the base mechanic is based around having water.
Ive had multiple runs trying to find that shit to no avail

@@OperatorWolfy try scorched enclave. just turn right when you spawn head to the bunker that have light. inside it can spawn water and med cabinet. or the bunker next to it or on the ground floor. even if you got bad rng you will fill your large item storage in this spot alone.
and can extract in less than 5 min.
      (cemetary spawn)
