I forgot about this song. This was slow song we used to dance to at city lights in Kileen Texas (Fort Hood) in 1992. If you could get a partner to dance with you. 😊

If I remember from 30 years ago, but I think both members both lost a parent and Gerald LeVert (who wrote the song) lost his grandfather around the same time and Gerald wrote the song for these guys. The interview about the hardships almost had me in tears. This is a real tribute song.

I can appreciate the sentiment and meaning of the song! But that 90's soul and r&b music is so generic, monotonous and boring! I dig the 1970's R&B, Soul, Funk and orher genres! Take care!
