I sure wish you would have made this video in March when i got mine😂. Great explanation, straight to the point and simple enough. Man it was a serious learning curve going from my Multistrada to the AT. The Duc had more settings but was a little easier to navigate. After playing with the AT for a month it is quite simple. It's just dialing in the suspension for the riding. I think if I go play on the trails again I will have the rider W/ Passenger selected for a more firm feel. OH, I still haven't messed with the "G" button. I saw that you can set it for what ever you want.
Just got a new ATAS DCT, and only been out 2 or 3 times so far, but really love the DCT. I have no idea why Honda sets the levels of things to be the reverse of how 95% of people's brains work. You'd think Traction Control of 1 would be less then 7, but no! I have to visualise it as how much intervention you want, so TC of 1 is hardly any intervention. Thanks for the vid.
Looks like you just need some fuel and you are ready for your next adventure Brett! I've now done 2300km odd on my new ATAS and are very pleased with it...roll on spring. Still waiting on new tyres but managed just fine off road on the dirty ole OEMs. South Island here we come. Cheers from across the ditch
@@ADVBrett The OEM tyres here in NZ are Bridgestone AX41T - Adventurecross Tourer, a heavily road focused tyre. With around 30% gravel use they have already worn quite poorly. I have Motoz tyres ordered - GPS for the rear and Dual Venture for the front and I am confident that they will do the trick nicely. The ATAS is a big lad (or lass in your case) and tyre choice is pretty important I reckon. Great machine, hard not to love Honda
@@andrewstrong3506 That sounds like a good combo, I've got the Tractionator both front and rear ready to go but already I'm keen for something more dirt orientated. Time will tell!
@@terrystratford1235 I know the exact feeling, trust me!! I recommend general riding in S2 and tour or urban then play around with it from there. I use S1 for longer runs

Awesome Andrew!! Which OEM tyres came with the bike? I've got maybe another 1000kms remaining on my Karoo Streets. Can't wait to change these out.

Hi nice video. What mode is best to do the wheelie?
S2 or S3, wheelie mode off.....
How do you reset the trip and fuel economy? I'm guessing highlight it and push hold return? I'm finding out June 19! Collect mine then!!
Spot on!! Then do that for each screen depending on how you've got it set up
@@ADVBrett I'm just as excited to sus out the functions as I am to get the bike!!!😅😄😃🤣👍

Is the g button just for dct bikes
Hey mate, yes it is. It's like a "slipper clutch" for the DCT
So much computer games. I have the Xbox One.
hahaha, yes!! Simple once you get used to it, so complicated when you first turn it on!
@@ADVBrett My next bike will have no electronics and probably a carby.
@@hachewie Nice!!! What bike are you thinking about?
@@ADVBrett dunno yet. Probably a dirt bike.
Awesome!! Yes!!
Too much for a computer illiterate guy like me.
Lol hmm 🙃
Dive, you're a boffin at things like this!!
@@ADVBrett You didn't get my sarcasm lol
