My First Time Drifting in GRID Legends 2022!

- First impressions on how drifting with a steering wheel feels like in GRID Legends. There are couple of drift tracks and some different JDM drift cars to choose from. The drift physics feel arcade and takes a while to get used to. I'm using Thrustmaster T300RS steering wheel with Thrustmaster Sparco handbrake and TH8A shifter. Hopefully this reiview gives you a better understanding of all the drifting related content in the game.

it looks like a weird game has good graphics but i think the car looks like it going like 200 miles an hour but im impressed it has wheel support and goose keep up the great content and remember stay side way!

Lol grid is simcade like forza, there are even arcade machines with grid from 2008
Many people doesnt know that grid series is the succesor of toca series. ToCa race driver 3 was a sim game from 2006, which had pretty realistic psychics, not as good as GT or LFS at that time, but still much better that modern forza

It looks good I don't mind the graphics but the drifting "mechanic" looks kinda stiff or something?
Like the camera shake when drifting makes me feel like the car will do a kickflip anytime
yeah if it didnt have the camera shake it would look a lot smoother

the original was ridiculously ahead of its time 15 years ago. The most fun ive had drifting in a game
The drift looks so awkward in this game i remember how much I liked the drifting on the original grid, this is just weird, i really like the physics on regular racing, it's definitely an arcade game, but at least it tries to make cars behave like... Cars, not like need for speed or the crew 2.
I don't think there's anything better for casual drifting in video games (using controller) than Forza Horizon 5, even if it's mostly really high speed drifts, Rwd builds behave realistic enough, and you can really apply the basis of drifting.
Original grid was awesome with drifting back in that day.. Kinda strange how they screwed it up in this game
I can drift properly, like whole corners all in oversteer as it should be.
Took me a while to figure out but it works.. It’s also really inconsistent and difficult so I get what you say but trust me it can be done with some adjustments

seems like it might just be one of those games where in order to drift you just hold max throttle & turn. like the modern need for speeds

I just came here because I’m playing this game. Currently story mode. I’ve come up against 2 drift events and absolutely can’t drift, with my wheel. Saying that, I did so much better after getting inspired by this video. I tried for about 20mins, many attempts and have given up, for now. 😭 worst part for me was chaining a bunch of drifts together and then barely gracing a stupid sign in road and my big combo goes to ZERO and I’m like, oh Fu@k off! Legends imho is incredibly fun. Especially with wheel and cockpit.
Grid is better when you switch all help off. Try it!

Goose, maybe turn off your assist so the drifting physics would be more realistic, even in Grid (2008) I turned off the assists and it's better to drift

You have to remove the driver assist's for it to feel like it's real. The assists make the drifting feel weird

Just to let you know I played the trial to this game and I found that if you drift closer to the cones you will get more points, also the right track you played that you feel like was from an older grid is from grid race driver, and is probably one of the best grid games had 24 hour races witch would go for 24 minutes
