It is lovely. I’ve only been once in the summer years ago when I was pregnant. I hope we can return in the summer this year as it is very easy to get to from the city. I imagine that beach will be very busy in the summer.

Wonderful video, thanks for posting it. I started to learn Danish a few years ago with the Teach Yourself series (book and CD). The ‘story’ includes the characters making a trip to Gilleleje to celebrate Sankthansaften. Having only ever read about it (and seeing an aerial picture on Instagram), I didn’t realise how beautiful it is until now. Will definitely make the trip some day myself. 😃👏
Thanks, Simon. How funny it was featured in that book. I think it was the same one I bought 12 years ago in preparation for moving here. I don’t remember completing the book but I do recall repeating after the CD person in my office in Basingstoke after hours much to the amusement of the tech guy in IT. I think he learnt something too 😂 I hope you can make the trip there one day.
