- I Traveled to Newark, New Jersey to try Brazilian food for the first time. Watch me react to feijão (maybe Feijoada), Brazilian linguica, yucca and try blood sausage (chouriço or morcela). I also try the Brazilian drink Guaraná Antarctica. For dessert I try mousse de maracuya (Passionfruit mousse). This is me trying Brazilian food for the first time and I was very happy with how comforting and homemade everything tasted. This part of Newark, New Jersey if often referred to as "Little Brazil", I highly recommend checking it out for trying the cuisine of Brazil.
Episode Intel:
Kibom Restaurant
Reggie Ate: feijão, linguica, fried yucca and Brazilian blood sausage (morcela de arroz), Guarana drink, mousse de maracuya (passion fruit mousse)
61 Wilson Ave, Newark, NJ 07105
guarana is like a soda, not energy drink. It has a little bit more caffeine than a can of coke.
Thanks for the tip! What other Brazilian sodas are there?
@@unculturedtravel The largest brazilian unique sodas would be Guarapan, an apple/cola soda bought by pepsico a long time ago. There is also Grapette, which is a really tasty grape juice soda from the south of the country. There is Jesus Guaraná, which is also a guaraná soda popular in the northeast of the country, I don't like it. There is also Cajuína, made from the cashew fruit, also Itubaína, which is Tutti-fruity flavor, I think it is too sweet.
@unculturedtravel If you go for Brazilian food again I would recommend Coxinha, Pão de Queijo, Tapioca Recheada, Pamonha, Paçoca and Cajuzinho for snacks or for main dish, "Moqueca de Peixe" or "Bobó de Camarão" and for dessert, you may want to try Canjica, Pavê and do try our "Bolo de Cenoura com cobertura de chocolate" (Chocolate Covered Carrot Cake), because the Brazilian Carrot Cake is very different from the US Carrot Cake.
Awesome tips! Moqueca looks great, lots of shrimps and tomato and big flavors!
Indonesia is the most huge youtube audiences in the world. Try to review much more foods from +62 🇮🇩 to get more viewers & subs 👍
What Indonesian dish should I try next?
@@unculturedtravel Nasi goreng. Or u can try Konro
Guaraná is not an energy drink. It's just a fizzy drink with a tiny amount of guarana extract for the kicks.
Thank you!
Hey! Just seen you like it so much, you should def. try more of our food! The "Calabresa" actually is not morcilla, is made out of good quality pork meat with condiments. Very popular on Feijoadas indeed, but also served like portioned with onions, cassava or, even, used as stuffing for street foods and so on (pizzas, calzones...). The linguiça, which is almost the same as calabresa, uses even higher quality pork meat and it's almost mandatory on a Brazilian buffet, a lot of people use them as a meat in Barbecues, which you should def. try if you hadn't!
It's pretty common for people to think we speak spanish, don't you feel bad about it at all =) Glad you liked it a lot.
Thank you for this insight! What’s your favorite Brazilian dish?
@@unculturedtravel I'd say Feijoada. But I do love Pastel, Coxinha, Brazilian Pizza and, of course, a good restaurant to have a Barbecue on rotation!
Nice reaction. You should try the street food of Brazil wich is coxinha and pastel, we have a lot of delicious food
This is proof how crazy the internet users in Indonesia are, and Philippines seems to be second in line, I guess.
Linguisa was it? Kinda similar to Filipino sausages longganisa. How much you eat shocks me. That's such a little serving to eat and I thought you were going for round 2.
Great video man. And Yep, most of outsiders think we talk Spanish and we don't!!
And about our food, it's always like thism confort food. I work with guys from EUA and I try do describe to them but it's difficult....I'm not really sure what you usually eat for launch and if you usually eat bens or rice. For us it's a very common food to eat.
Oh! And that sausage you ate was not made of blood. That one is what we call "PAIO" It's just a pork sausage that is very smoked and seasoned
Wow thank you for the insight! Is there a Brazilian dish you recommend?
Did you actually weigh the soda on the scale along with the food? You paid more than you were supposed to for sure haha.
Haha oh no! Good catch! What dish should I try next!
@@unculturedtravel Pastel and Coxinha for sure, you will love it!
Try "moqueca" and acarajé!
Thank you!
