    I give it 5 stars! Love the shady sex scandals, missing soldiers, corpses being found in random places with no explanation, and the super secret underground tunnel systems!

      People are not realizing how big FT Hood is. It’s like a small city of it’s own with nearly 50k soldiers stationed on Hood not counting civilians. Regardless of being on an Army base you still have soldiers you have real life issues and troubled. Get pass the uniform all soldiers come from all walks of life good and bad.

      I was stationed there 4 times in 22 years only thing happened out of those was the soldier center shooting after I pcsd out. Alot of soldiers has spent time at fort hood. A few bad apples make it into everywhere Fort isn't the only place a few bad apples made it into. Check the history of the intire military.

I do fault the army in some way. Civilians will not understand the protocols of the military. Soldiers go AWOL all the time..in this case it was not. The army can’t go on speculations.

    When I first met my platoon sergeant at Fort Hood, his initial thought of me was I must of been demoted from a prior unit since I was a PFC with a combat patch already.

    The problem is that due to shooting at a fornicator, the army is not allowed, by treaty to relocate soldiers west of Fort Hood. The idea of a monorail, is to quickly transport men from Fort Hood to Norfolk.

    • @TheDustysix
      @TheDustysix 5 років тому

      Monorail? Norfolk? They could take a bus to Galveston or Corpus Christi.

    ok, who else remembers the 70s, the old WWII style open bay barracks. I lived in one for about a month, then found an apartment off post with some buds. They had some excellent all night specialty dining halls back then though, great if you were working a night shift.

      Please stay in communication with your daughter and know her whereabouts. It’s sick the things that goes on in the military.
      I was in the army and had my fair share of abuse. I did 10 years and got out.
      I pray that your daughter has a great experience, highly recommend her take up college class in her Free time and any courses offered that will help her if she decides to get out and join the civilian world.

      My dad and our family were stationed at Ft. Hood 1971-late 75 after he returned from Vietnam. He was 2nd AD Hell on Wheels E7 in an engineer battalion. I graduated HS at Killeen TX same year he retired in 1975.
      We loved the old Rod and Gun club and the hunting and fishing there, seemed like Avenue D was the popular place among GI's back then lol.
      I worked for tips only bagging groceries at the main commissary and I could make $60 bucks in a day on paydays but averaged around 20 and in the early 70s that was darn good money!
      We had quarters in Venerable Village across hwy 190 from the 1st Cav stables at the time. It was our longest posting. Somethings I miss about the area, other things earned it the nickname of the armpit of America. I see theyve made big improvements.
      I wonder if the pimpmobiles I used to see in Killeen are still like that, crazy big caddies, Longhorns on the front with little white fluff balls in the windows all around with lots of lights lol.
