On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

Classic "stay airborne until the other guy runs out of pilot skill" tactic. That would frankly be an excellent tactic to use against me. I run out of pilot skill pretty much instantly.

No aircraft has ever turned 7g for two seconds. I guess the gripen vid was proven as a deliberate forgery.
DCS development has stalled because they realized the flight model is physically impossible.
The Vietnam-era content is by far the most interesting, IMO. Can't wait for the official Phantom! F-100, F-104, A-1, A-7, A-6 and the MiG-17 are going to be awesome to contrast and compare.

I agree so much. In general, while the strategic ballet of a good fox-3 engagement is interesting a few times, fox-1 era just has a lot shorter ranges and more chaos, which makes the fights a lot more interesting to watch.
All this f-4 Phantom content is amazing. GS you are beyond being just a skilled pilot. You are legendary!

The F-4 is something else, I tell you. The profile, the smoke from the engines, the way the Sparrow _roars_ when it comes off the rail; it's an aircraft that looks and feels like it can only barely contain the power it holds within.
Also liked the Sparrow coming off the rails and seeming to need a couple seconds to wake up from a nap before it went to work. Good boy, that missile.
My dudes and dudettes, if you are not subscribed to Longshot's channel, you are missing out. My guy has some of the most intense cinematics I've ever seen out of DCS or Hollywood.
That this only a simulation but it showed how resilient the F4 was. It's been documented that many continued to fight and managed to return to base with lot more damage than that. The F4 has been a favorite since I was 14 and got into modeling. I remember getting it and a MiG 29 at same time for my first model to build. I couldn't make up my mind to do which one first, So I set 2 tables and I worked on them both. That was almost 40 years ago and they're are still my top 2 aircraft of all time. I could go on, Luckily for you I won't .

I would like to see you fly an F-4E. The F-4E's from the 1970's are my favorite because they had better avionics and a camera pod on the left wing.
they were also alot more maneuverable, but GS doesnt have access to the E
GS, I grew up in the flight line of an AFB in Texas in the early 80s. That big,noisy, smokey,bomb truck won a place in my heart. She looks tough and fast even sitting still...F4!!

I love the look of the F4. Long ago, I had a co-worker who had been deck crew for them in the Navy. He said they were horrible to work on because everything was at the perfect height to hit your head on.
"I'm on this guy in the mountains". I'd be walking to the debrief with this audio, and immediately calling a summary meeting of the Callsign Board because this guy is now headed for legend status, and perhaps an admin posting before sep.

You guys forgot the number one rule with the Sparrow, always volley in pairs to make up for their lack of reliability. 😂 As to losing an aileron, not sure, but you certainly lost a horizontal tail-plane. Impressive to see it still flew after that. Great video guys.
