Good video to talk about the positives of psychosis. I found it hard to find anything positive for myself at first. If it wasn't for psychosis, I never would have gotten a correct diagnosis. I then would have suffered longer, so a silver lining.

That’s wonderful to hear 😀 and me too! That being the bipolar type 1.
What was your diagnosis out of interest - if you wouldn’t mind sharing?

It's great to see how psychosis allowed you to start healing more effectively. And, more importantly, how you allowed it to do so. You have a superpower, there. It is not a given to be able to do this, and many people can't.. or, at least, can't do so yet. You have that key to your healing, and being sectioned allowed you to open the lid of the box a little, squeeze your hand out and unlock the padlock keeping it shut. A bootstrap by which you could lift yourself up.
I'm so glad to see you found your way back to yourself in such an inspirational way.

I love your videos, Mike! I'm a master's student in the UK hoping to work as a psychologist- your content gives a desperately-needed insight into how the experience of a psychotic break (or psychotic disorder) can be perceived by the individual experiencing it. It's great having professionals explain conditions like schizophrenia, but we need more people with lived-experience sharing what their lives have been like. All the best to you and congratulations on the sobriety🙌

What an amazing comment! Thank you so much Emily. People like you who are will be providing care to help others in future are exactly who my videos are aimed at, so it's great to know they're reaching my target audience. I haven't posted in a few weeks due to work commitments. But, what would you like to see me make my next video about and I'll make one on just that! All the best and thanks again, Mike

it changed my life certainly for the better. without a bottom, there is a good chance i wouldnt have changed my behaviors to lead me to change my life. i would not go to school and major in psychology. there is no way i would be as stoked about life as what i am with out such a terrible time and dealing with more pain than what i likely will ever again.

      Hey,
That’s wonderful to hear. There is a lot to be said through those who keep battling through the toughest of times. You deserve all the happiness which comes your way after having that strength to get where you are now. Well done you 👏

The need for sleep after food might be high blood sugar and insuline knocking it down. Watch glucose godess for correct info on how bloodsugar affects you.
