Growing up(high school) Jelly was shitty hood rap from Nashville but we loved it because he was local. He slang dope, was fat, and rapped about it. He's matured a lot and I love that he's getting the recognition he deserves. That soul in his voice is from a real place and his twang sounds like home to me.
