Dude this was an amazingly fun and enjoyable video to watch! Props to everyone for coming together to make this happen!😁
Dude your video quality has gotten extremely better this vid was awesome
Since when are northern Pike invasive ? They are native to North American lakes ext ......
He did
If these fish are invasive, why are you releasing them? I thought the point is to eliminate invasive species by way of eating them.
Bro......... Pike is a sport fish
Because pike are not eating fish eggs or anything else and their not destroying the nature
But he did say that they were envasive so technically he’s lying
@@forfunshorts___ They're invasive in Maine and are destroying lake ecosystems. The eat native fish and the state is struggling to manage the population. They encourage fisherman to kill any they catch.
I mean they could be naturalized
Her : he’s probably cheating on me
The boys : FLAGGGGG
All jokes lol
If they are invasive, why are you releasing them?
It comes down to personal preference. Some people like to eat them and some don't. I hope this helps.
Some people just fish for fun. They catch and release. Some catch fish to eat. Me personally, I prefer other fish than pike. That's why I release them.
@@LanceD1881 the thing is, if they are invasive in maine it is illegal to release them. in general it is illegal to release an invasive species if you catch one
@@LanceD1881 you release a pike into water that it isnt native to and it will decimate the adolescents of almost any species, by releasing them and not killing them you are destroying your own lake
To add onto the points made, dealing with dead fish can be difficult, and putting them back is bad idea when the lake is frozen
I have only ever caught one Pike in my life as a kid. The fight it put up was completely different from the perch I was used to. I was so proud of catching ti, but of course I messed up cooking it and it turned out horrible.
- 3:19 Watching all 4 of you running crazy after the flags is *pretty hysterical* !! Just sayin` 😜
Awesome drone shots! Nice music choices and editing. Solid production value. I love the quick and dirty videos as well, but wanted to let you know the extra work is noticed. Keep up the good work!
5:32 Albert reminding us why he’s the real fishing king 👑 🎣
He's releasing invasive fish into the wild again???!???
Surely, if you're anywhere in the northern hemisphere, then technically, the northern Pike is not invasive
a fish can be non-native and not be invasive. Plenty of non-native species have spread around the world and don't simply takeover and outcompete everything else.
The northern pike is indigenous to north America, they're often confused with musky (I can't really tell the difference).
I don't think they're actually an invasive species unless they're not supposed to be in Maine.
@@austingardiner6880 Northern Pike is stripy the Musky has a more spotty pattern.
here in Europe, male pikes are spotty female ones are way bigger and stripy.
@@tinovanderzwan-km7ou interesting, are the indigenous to Europe as well? I grew up catching pike and walleye/pickerel in the Canadian north so it's strange to hear them referred to as invasive.
A quick google search would clear this up for you.
Kudos to you guys for catch invasive fish. Never really knew Pike were invasive in Maine until now.
wait until you hear what their doing to the native salmon populations in Alaska, then you'll be really happy to see them get caught.
@@cohenmelcher4310well they are fun to catch and good to eat if you prepare them right. Always a positive with invasive fish when you can turn them into a good meal.
@@isurrender3640if they’re around you misewell learn how to cook em lol.
Love chasin flags around the ice. some nice pike there!
thanks David! We had a blast
Epic adventure with tight editing! Please keep the long form content coming!
Awesome to see someone else from Massachusetts doing good on the tube i could show you some awesome spots around mass. I just am afraid of putting myself on youtube cause fishing spots get ruined quickly.
Do you know what invasive fish mean?
Just Google it 🤦🏻♂️
Yeah bc I thought northern pike were native
I used to live up north used to go ice fishing all the time went to Round Valley Reservoir in the 90s first time it froze over in 25 years caught some beautiful lake trout and rainbows rainbows rainbows
Invasive?? Why are you releasing them!! In Wisconsin people spend their entire life fishing for Northern Pike!! Muskie too!!!😊
Never knew Pike were invasive in Maine. Always thought they were native.
That one big pike looks like it lost some gills
always the best fishing videos here :)
I never knew the northern pike was considered invasive. But I also live in michigan, so i could definitely see them causing problems in other states
Those types of hotubs r AMAZING
C’mon now, we all already know that Albert is the fish catching machine
They're pain in the a** to clean. But, pickle them or grill them up, they're actually pretty good. They're native here in Wisconsin and we catch a lot of pike. You need a leader on your line with a heavier test pound line. Braided is best. They'll tear right through mono.
Never went ice fishing before but this video made me want to go so badly
It's often much tougher than they make it look, at least in my experience, and my area of the country. 😆 Tight lines, fellow angler. 🎣
it's super fun. totally different vibe than open water fishing.
the best place to catch northern pike is Minesota
In sweden pike and perch is almost theonly species of fish that we have
Cam reminds me of that one kid who brought kid cuisines for lunch
LOL
When you get to the tip up set the hocks don’t wait 30 seconds to set the tip up
0:45 Nah what was Cam doing in Walmart drinks aisle💀💀😂
just having some fun and fishing with the fellas, love it!
those bait fish are so cute they look like lil snuggle bugs
great video ice fishing seems looks super fun
I like Cam’s thinking. Voodoo Ranger makes a breakfast complete.
More long videos please!! The editing/storytelling is so nice
Sweet concept! Looks like it was a fun day
Sure was! 🤙
Awesome video!
Nice Video! We do this every year up in Michigan.
Those fish here are like super big and non invaasive
Northern pike are invasive? you can find them in most lakes in north America. I've never heard of them listed as evasive before. did someone stock them in that rare lake that doesn't have them?
Yep there native too almost all lake in North America
0:43 That drop😂
this vid was a banger
Engel coolers made in Jupiter beach Florida all the way in snow
Well damn. Illusive? I used to eat northern all the time. Good days.
Cam is the type of guy to buy a bag of Cheetos for lunch and call it a day
In Finland these are super normal and popular fish but not as popular than salmon or rainbow trout
Northern Pile are native to Maine. Maybe not that specific like but typically they are to most bodies of water.
Pike make for some of the best fishing ever. I know people don’t particularly like them as they are voracious predators and can easily take over an entire ecosystem, but I love them.
Sick video
If they’re invasive, aren’t you supposed to dispatch them? That’s how it is for Washington state at least.
That's so awesome... Do you know if Nolan will be selling these lures?
Isn’t it illegal to release northern pike?????
They are probably in a different place and pike is a sport fish
Cam singing the courtesy of the red white and blue was my favorite part😂 RIP Toby Keith!
That Juice Force IPA is fucking nuts. Haha. Drink with caution.
Fishing with the bros is the way to go!! On ice is next level 👌🏽
Glad i found the channel, from a new sub 👍🏽
Lucky my lake is melted
You guys need wider holes 😂 get a bigger auger
Making caviar
Caviar can be made from verious types of fish roe.All you need to do is as follows mix a gallon of water with enuph dairy salt to float a egg then add 1/6 ounce of sodium nitrate and a pinch sodium nitrate a teaspoon podered ginger and a spoon of dry wet mustard mix solution untill salt desolves then place roe in solution after taken out of membrain sack mix roe in solution for 8 to 10 minits by hand and allow it to set for 5 minits then repeat mixing process or untill a foam appears on the solution.allow the roe to cure in solution for 5 days at room tempature romove roe from solution by straing it through a one qurater or one eight mesh and place it in jars and putthe refrigarator untill ready to use if you prefure you can freeze it for later use
Love your vids
This makes me so happy :(
Why wouldn't you guys set the shack up over one of your holes and jig it with a rod?
in the short about pike bites and that you could bleed for hours is true but after being bit simply shake your hand violently underwater for 30 seconds to a minute and then dry off the bleeding will stop in a few minutes if the water is cold even better your veins will contract and the bleeding will stop in less than 30 seconds.
getting bit by a big European eel is worse they don't have much in what you could call teeth but it's like a rasp and they have a hyperactive anticoagulant that scuffs the skin and the superficial wound won't stop bleeding or give off clear fluids sometimes for days.
a pike gill cage is also filled with sharp protrusions the wounds you can get from those will get infected pretty quick use the same method as after a pike bite and you'll be ok.
do another tuna one
bro i love the video you got yo self a sub
How come they were let go if they're invasive?
Awesome video man! Love to see the long forms.
I’m glad I turned on post notifications so I could snag a hoodie
Ayyyy let’s gooo
I feel like there should be an alarm or at least he’ll attached to the flag
That fish is wild at 13:48
Envasive just means not native not that they are harming other animals which is why they are releasing them for those who didn’t know❤
Cam and Gary were fucking toasted🤣🤣
I’m from Ireland Derry
A lot of polish would eat pike here but I wouldn’t recommend never tried it never will 😂
Why did you release that pike if it is invasive in Maine.
This is bizarre, but you went to my local Walmart. Were you guys fishing on North Pond or Norway Lake (Pennesseewassee Lake is the official name)? I saw a red pop-up tent just like yours on Norway Lake. Not many shacks went out this winter so it was exciting to see some even if they're temporary. For future reference the state of Maine really encourages fisherman to kill any pike they catch. I know people in the Belgrade region might disagree (people like to catch them for sport in that lake chain and thats where there were illegally introduced) but they're awful for the ecosystem. My grandfather was a marine biologist, but he loved fishing inland and was good friends with people who stocked local waterways. Even then (late 1990's), northern pike was a problem and there were talks about how to manage the population.
Why do you have the comments portion of your next video (the one after this one), turned off? I wanted to ask you a certain question about trout that gets stocked, But it says the commenting section has been turned off. Maybe you are unaware, if not, I'll just have to ask you somewhere else like maybe on here or something sometime. Thanks for all you do though I appreciate it, God bless!
I thought northern pikes were native?
Hey I heard you say your buddy was fishing up in Belgrade and I was wondering what pond he was on because I’m always but there
Keep up the great content tackle2thepeople, I enjoy all the different content of fishing you put out there for us. It sucks I missed you at the New England saltwater show in Rhode Island. But I was able to meet your friend Albert and Cam which was really cool. Hopefully I can try to meet you somewhere down the line maybe on the canal or something like that. Because I’m a big fan of saltwater fishing. And I enjoy all the different content you put out for us from salt to freshwater. I think that’s pretty cool.
Great video
I’ve caught one but I didn’t even fully feel it in because it was too strong for me but I saw it was hug like
There are no shipping options to Canada for the hoodie 😢

dude Just came to comment that I just crossed with one of your shorts vid about the mackerel if they are trash or not.. and I tried to comment and after I'm done that I was going to post, I realized there was not posting key but just if you pay! that's nuts! wasted my time! now I know what video to skip! 😐
What do you mean? None of the fish you caught were invasive
What state is this in?
Wait, 13:33 why are you releasing it? Isn't it an invasice species?
Yes it’s a bunch of bull shit
Merch doesn't deliver in Europe😔, i really loved the video tho
Next time use ice skating so it is faster to go round the lake
Love the content keep it up but you are using waaaaay too big bate me and mi dad have been pike fishing for years and not little ones 15 pounds all day
You aren't going to get them out of any lake in Maine. So don't kill them. Let them go so they can grow to be trophy fish! They benefit fisheries so much! You'll see larger numbers of big bass, and they keep panfish numbers in check too. I know you want to keep your headlines enticing, but please don't spread misinformation about how pike are invasive in belgrade lakes. Because they've been there longer than you've been alive....
I doubt he's in the Belgrade region considering how far it is from that Walmart and cabin (I'm local to the area). 100% kill invasive northern pike coming out of this lake/pond. They're eating native fish and the state can't do anything to get rid of them. Long Pond in Belgrade was famous for its salmon until the introduction of nothern pike destroyed the population. I'd prefer that not happen everywhere to other native species as well.
