Fact 101: Spino has been heavily shadow nerfed from ASE, their bipedal swing speed is much much slower, which means they don’t have their great DPS anymore, making them completely irrelevant now. and they slightly buffed rex attack speed so rex just outshines em in hp dmg and dps now

@@Mephilis78 Lots of Ark's creatures are designed after the Jurassic Park version (dilo), or other things we used to believe. Some things are intentionally different for other reasons as well. Even some dossiers Helena says things are different from what she's studied. Ark does not try to be accurate or even realistic, a modern version of spino would not be fun.

Easy early soaker
The shoulderpets always reduced weight. The Sino reduced weight in its by 50% which then reduced the total weight on you down to 25%. All shoulderpets reduced weight by 50% on your character, and as far as I know they always did
this is correct ^^^ also the sino was the only one that could by accessed by holding X on xbox, all other shoulder pets had to be thrown off
The dung beetle will also pick up poop past its own weight limit so it’ll overfill itself and can’t move when you set it to wandering
I'm probably late to this but leeches won't attack the beezelbuffo
Also has been around since ASE but Piranhas won't attack you while on a Sarco

Yep, and works for both knockouts and passive tames
0:46 I learnt this from my friend who knows dinosaurs pretty well. The reason the charcharadontosaurus drops a giga heart is because the giga is a characharadontosaurid, meaning they're similarly related and so it would sort of makes sense to have the same heart.
Same family as Allosaurus too.
They make Carchar drop Giga heart is because it'll occupy Giga spawn point

Same but I'm ps5 I have to save like every 5 to 10 mins from crashing paranoia. I've lost at least 10 hours of gameplay alone to crashing. If I forget and don't save after it always seems to crash especially when I'm doing something important like taming. Istg ASA hates me.
The purlovia sniff also finds hidden Rock Eles. Also the phoenix can also land now!
Also there are def. a few huge trees you can get on Scorched. I made a whole botanical gardens with a ton of plants and trees. Such a cool feature.
Tek critters were intro'd before Extinction I think, so it's probably coming then!
sucks about Ark two not coming out on playstation, atleast for now it isnt. im sure it will change. stupid for them not to. I agree they are all dope, and i love dope. great video, did fantastic, i learned a lot. i subbed, you deserve much much more. im on pc, but havent played in a while until i started on ark ascended on channel. majority of the tips you listed i had no idea! im sitting here with a notebook and pen writing down the ones i like. ur the bomb! thank you!!

HA! "Make sure it works" I'm from the future, my friend and I can tell you that the sub *barely* works. I've fallen through the bottom. It's still cool but definitely not leaving any pets or anything important on it
You could already do the 1st fact in ase
Using the Grapple Hook method to move small creatures, can let you move 4 creatures at once with an Argentavis. Haven’t tried it yet on Ascended, but it’s how I always used to transport my Dung Beetles before cryopods on Evolved.

The super test meat will actually instantly tame any creature that's unconscious if you put it in their inventory, whether they are a carnivore or herbivore.

Ya the carchar dropping giga hearts is cuz it’s a needed item for a boss and just in case there’s only carchar spawning and no gigas spawn since they share spawn points

Asa is good but the nostalgia and greatness of ASE carries
Some changes are great some are stupid and should have kept it the old way. Not really a fan of the cryo pod change with needed a nearby crofridge. Now you can override this on SP.
Even though it's a nerf, I do like that now you can't reroll the imprint with cryo pod which stresses the importance of getting kibble as imprinting was meant to be a later game mechanic.
I also miss some of my ASE mods

Fact 8 isn't new. The argy could always pick up three creatures. But it's barely useful for the beak and player carry since the player can hold so few creatures and the Argys beak is barely better. The leg pickup is the only good one, for ankys and doedics.
They’re not all new facts they are just things most people probably do not know

Wild Card need to rename Giganotosaur heart to Big or Giant theropod heart, also i hope Ragnarok will have new boss not just Manticore from Scorched Earth and The Center new water boss. Also they need to turn off gamma and volumetric fog command on official servers.
Yeah or they could give the carchar its own heart and them just give it the exact same function as a Giga heart. Similar to how you can use Chitin and keratin interchangeable

I can't seem to attach a cart to a thylo. Anyone else know if this was taken out, or if you can only do it on a specific version? Currently playing on a private PVE server.
The fog tip is really useful but i dont know how to open the tab to write commands so how does one do it on ps5?
If you pause your game and go to your settings there should be a settings called allow console access or something like that and make sure it is checked and if it is then in the pause menu at the botten left of the screen you should see the command access

Carcha giving giga hearths is so dumb if both of them has to give the same tribute then atleast name both of them carcha hearths since giga and carcha are from the same family and giga isn’t main genus of this family it’s carcha.

They shadow nerfed the thylacoleo it no longer moves forward with its jump it instead jump straight up like an iguanodon this makes it unable to jump over some cliffs in caves making in less relevant.
Yeah I noticed that but I’ve heard it’s a bug that the devs are aware of and they have said they are working on fixing it

I have not played the game for a while now, has the crashes been fixed? I've dropped the game temporarily as I do not want to play the game lower than medium/high settings. I'd rather just play ASE if I have to turn off foliage animations and menu transitions just to not crash lol
Comes Down to your PC for me i have now Zero crashes like for a few months but to be fair i have the best PC possible
@@tomhanke7703 Not exactly, it's a problem with their code as it is an internal code error. You really think having menu transitions on makes it hard for everybody's rig and crashes them? I know this is not a hardware issue as I can read the logs properly and it's a fatal due to a miscommunication in the game code (failing to request data).
Again, turning dynamic foliage or ui menu transitions fixes the crashes. You can also avoid the issue completely by playing non-dedicated server or multiplayer via servers and you will not crash. However if you do this on singleplayer, you will most likely crash.
I have a friend that has a 4080 and experiences the same problem as me (a lower card). He told me that after a while of playing with frame gen on it crashes his game. I even saw some 4090 guys complain about this game, so no one's really safe unless they make adjustments to their settings. A bummer really since Ark is one of my favourite games of all time and recently bought Ascended for its graphics, played for around 15-30 mins of high settings then crash.
Did I mention that this game crashes with certain overlays on? I can't even get RTSS to work properly in the game, I can only turn it off before playing (ex: menu).
It has many issues and you can't deny that for sure, but I'm sure they will get this together and slightly fix the game. But knowing the game I'm pretty sure they will only fix the crashes and not the performance problem of the game.
@@Luiden sure it has some issues but like i said got no crash for the last 200h playtime. Playing with everything Max in 4k. Maybe its on offi but on my Server its runs pretty fine. I also got like 40+ mods without issues
@@tomhanke7703 Yeah, that's actually good for you. But I'm not a multiplayer guy so I'm pretty much stuck on singleplayer (I however can prevent the crash completely by opening the game as non-dedicated instead of singleplayer).
I'd also like to add like to add that the crash does not happen on scorched earth and seems to be exclusive to The island.
One last thing though, you think bob's tales is worth it? I'm planning to buy it but the fact that it costs half the game's price makes me think twice, does it add much content? I've heard it also adds a few engrams, 1 creature to be tamed and some notes.
@@Luiden Bob Tales is tottaly worth because its 10€ per map and for 10 € its really much New stuff its just bad advertising because 30 € for only the SE Things are not worth but then when i Found out that 2 other maps also got new Things its worth
