I‘ve actually been using this technique for years to iron all the shirts from corporate headshots since nobody seems to really care to iron their shirts beforehand. Thank you for making this video to share the technique with others as well Unmesh 😊
I am so sad that people don’t appreciate the company Shootings, and prepare properly, and it is even worse when they think we must do magic in photoshop, all included in the original price.
@@tatianamendoncastudio agreed but since there hasn’t been a single company that ironed their shirts, I either bring an iron with me to shootings or I charge extra for Photoshop ironing. Of course I tell them upfront so they have the possibility of choice and this has helped reduce work as most of them don’t want to pay any extra.
Personally I always tell my clients (usually managers) that if they want clean clothes, it's their responsibility or they'll have to pay extra. Let me tell you, the idea of paying more makes them extra efficient at making sure their employees come properly dressed haha. I only make exceptions for people who had a genuine accident on the day, like spilled coffee (it happens even to the best of us). Sometimes they don't listen and come with wrinkly shirts anyway, so I just send them the photos as is. Never had any complaint.
I have been in Photoshop for years and I do alright. But I love tutorials. Lately, I have been watching you more and more. I type something and click play. I don't really care who it is but I always get excited when it's you. So finally, I subscribed. Cheers!
This, again, is so great and insanely useful. Nowadays not many photographers have a look at the clothes and we have so much more work to do in the post production. This helps A LOT! Thanks you so much!
I think it would be a good idea to make a dedicated video on "Mixer Brush Tool", explaining it's properties and settings, along with showing some applications of it other than frequency separation. BTW as always thank you so much for sharing such a valuable knowledge with us for free.
i have this issue with like every photo I take ... i didn't think there was a solution. then came Unmesh with his brilliant tutorials . now I know lmao thx fam
I remember when you jsut started youtube, uploading shorts which are useful and straight to the point, me and i guess everyone all had the feeling that you would grow big someday, now look at you, million of subs and having your own patreon and merch store, that shit rules 👑 Now your tutorials are longer and more in-depth, I'm learning to be a designer and your name definitely has a huge impact on my future success. Loveee
Can't thank you enough for this video and all of your incredible content! You have improved my work as an editor and I always use your codes/links! Thanks!
Thanks so much for this Unmesh! I have a job at my work where I have to 'iron' shirts on about 40 images. This is a godsend! Especially the mixer brush under the frequency separation layer. Works a treat. Thanks again 😊
This an awesome update to your previous video on this subject! I'm editing photos of clothing right now and your quick blur shortcut is a godsend. Thank you for always sharing the new tricks and techniques you learn :D Have you ever considered doing an in depth tutorial on warp tools? I've always felt quite clumsy with it and I'd love a guide in your style of teaching.
Great video. Such a helpful technique, especially if you photograph Sr High School boys. No matter how much you coach them they always show up to the shoot with a duffel bag with their clothes in it. Aaurgh!!
I am really Happy I Guessed Every Step and evn the Tools. Thanks now I think You made me Experienced with the Photoshop that I can Discover My own Methods of Solving my problems.
This is really practical. Thank you! I’m wondering, however, how one could do this with a patterned shirt. 20 years ago, I was a project manager and sent a photo to our re-toucher of a model wearing a thin-striped seersucker jacket (so that’s pattern and texture to deal with) that had wrinkled between the elbow and the wrist from being pushed up in a previous shot. You can imagine how hard it would be to take out wrinkles and match the pattern and texture, but the retoucher did it in half an hour with the PS of 20 years ago. If you ever get a chance, I’d love to see how to do what she did.
@@ДимитърВасилев-э1з That was my guess then. When the client requested it, I wasn’t sure how quickly we could provide the edit. That she did it in under a half hour amazed me.
If your pattern consists of only two colours, perhaps you could separate each colour using masks based on the hue and brightness and perform the steps in this video twice, once for each colour.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! It was super helpful. I had no idea how powerful the patch tool was. This really helped me solve a clothing problem in a recent shoot I did. Thanks again!
Y’all who seriously do not like ironing, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND a rowenta steam STATION. The iron works too but the station is a game changer. I can iron/steam jeans in less than 1 min
Thank you buddy... 😊😊😊 That's really fantastic. Earlier i worked with that method.... but now i know much better... Thank you umesh for answering my question... ❤️ Keep creating 😊😁
I was trying to use F.S. yesterday to iron... the mistake I made was too much blur when setting up the F.S. Layers, thanks for clarifying why I was having so much difficulty.

Been using your trick for a while but is there a good way you can suggest when shirts have patterns?? Wrinkles + Lines/Plaid is so challenging! Thanks!!
Great tutorial! New applications for FS, Mixer Brush, Patch Tool and the others. Amazing! On another note, I can do one of these and get the image printed on my shirts with the words, "My other shirt looks like this" 😃

Hi Unmesh! Thanks for the video, your ways are very helpful. I would like you to show a 5-layer frequency video (usually 2 and 3). Sometimes it is very necessary. Happy New Year!
Hello, great video! However, when I try to select a colour for the mixer brush tool it doesn't let me, it keeps coming back to a random fluid colour or even weird texture and I can't change the option Load Solid Colours Only into Load brush or Clean Brush. Therefore, the blending and removing of wrinkles doesn't work at all, does anybody have a solution for this problem? Much appreciated xx
I'm glad you made a video on this. Because I can never be bothered to iron my clothes in real life !
SAME! I think I have never done that in a decade now 😂
Actually, Iron takes less time than this 😅
U are crazy, I love you
