I did the lifetime membership for $350 this year and I got a blue label coupon within a week with my membership package. I have taken the AC- Armorers Course which was one day. It requires two years of experience to take the Advanced Armorers two day class. Beginning January of 2022 the Advanced Armorers course will only be available in Georgia.
Life member of GSSF. I liked the armorers course. Learned more about it. Liked the history of the evolution of each model & why. Working on my own Glocks I already knew assembly/disassembly. But the whys were very interesting. Scotty B was great!!
I’ve spent 25 years working as an Armorer/Gunsmith for DOE. I’ve only been watching your videos for a week or so and have applied your techniques to my personal G42. It went from Good to Fantastic. Thanks
You have great energy. Just make interesting videos about glocks. I like the simplicity of the glock. Seriously. A punch and a couple springs and you can keep a glock running for ever.
My son came home from college and shot my 43X with the JG flat face carry trigger and was very impressed. Now he wants one for his 43X. Can't beat the reliability and safety of JG.
The old trigger bars created a "hot spot" for the trigger spring. The curve was added to reduce spring breakage. Then, from the 42 on, they changed the trigger spring system altogether. I still have a bunch of the old bars. The trigger spring is only $3 or $4. Change them out every 5000 rounds.
Love the videos, always eagerly waiting for the next one! I was super stoked to see the Timney combat conversion back in stock and already ordered one for a new G34 build I’m finishing. My JG Evolution X Combat with striker upgrade is beyond amazing still in my G22! Nice work fellas 💯
Far as I'm concerned you're one of the best out there if the not the best in my book fuck what everybody else thinks absolutely love you're work and you are the only place I will buy any Glock parts, worth every dollar, with that being said, I'm getting ready to do another Glock 17 Gen 3 build and another Evolution X Combat trigger assembly is what I will buying, just a phenomenal trigger.
The only think I love more than your videos, are your triggers I installed in my Glocks! They have upped my game from crappy to slightly less crappy! Thanks man! Also, if you are taking a pause from your Functional Friday vids, can you do some "Common Problems" vids? i.e. not going back into battery, feeling it getting caught up on something when racking the slide, FTF, light strikes...
I've been a GLOCK armorer and advanced armorer for many years. Starting in 2022 GLOCK is now only offering the advanced course in Georgia for some reason, now people like me who don't live in the area will not be able to get the training. I wonder if not to many people signed up for the advanced course so it wasn't worth the effort but it's a real shame as I always enjoyed it.
For me the biggest benefit of being a factory certified armor is the ability to purchase OEM parts directly from Glock. No EBay markup. No Bubba modifications.
Yes glock is reliable Just like many modern auto loaders . I'm in Florida and none of my Polymer pistols rust yes I know glock has been around for along time and I respect that. So many good stock triggers today . I enjoyed the video
Regarding Florida climate, true story: Growing up in Central Florida, I recall a ruined hunting trip in Southern Florida. While staying on the "designated roads", I was made to walk back and forth in front of my dad in the truck, simply so he'd have a visual representation of the elevation & grade of said "designated road", since he was unable to see how far below the SURFACE OF THE WATER the aforementioned "DESIGNATED ROAD" was. Side note: ya ever seen a gater swim across the road? Yeah, it's a Florida thing... Anyway, like I said, it was a ruined hunting trip as I imagine my dad misjudged my height or possibly the height of the truck because he straight up DROWNED that truck. 2 bent rods & a 3 mile hike back to help wasn't very conducive to a successful hunting trip. Memorable though....🤪
The morons telling you there's nothing to the Glock Mechanism is a big reason when I buy I buy new. Ain't no doubt I speak for all your staunch followers when I say thanks for Functional Friday! Upload when you have time, it's always highly appreciated!
You do absolute magic on Glocks, really enjoy the information you have. I'm wondering if it's possible to modify a glock 20 10mm trigger bar to work with the Timney trigger system, the reason I'm asking is I contacted Timney Triggers to see if they had plans to build their trigger for the glock 20/21 and their answer was no. I think that trigger would be excellent in a hunting application. Timney trigger + glock 20 10mm = venison in the freezer.
I went to the basic armorers course about 20 years ago…. And running ranges for LE, it’s amazing how when they make something idiot proof, they make a better idiot. Like the LE folks who took apart their duty pistol and found at the range it was not done right…or the LE folks dropping 9mm into a .40 cal and. Blowing them up.
Johny maybe you can help with my issue. My Gen 3 Glock is consistently having light primer strikes, they're ALWAYS off center and to the side. I think you said it was the telltale sign of a out of battery gun but i can't pinpoint what is the issue. All the springs are new (and OEM), same for the striker assembly. The only aftermarket parts is the slide (Strike Industries) and the barrel (Faxon).
They are the Armorers Manuals that GLOCK puts out. You get them as part of the AA course. I think that's the only way to get them, but I'm not 100% sure of that policy. That's how I got mine...
...like people can't go online and learn how a G18 works... or even DL plans to 3d print a Glock auto sear. (yet they want you to be law enforcement or have some special license to take a G18 armorers course).
Johnny I had a Glock 30S what kept jamming the second to last round. FTF. 3 trips to the factory. Blamed on limp wristing. I own other calibers and no problem. WTF any idea.
changed mags/ changed mag spring / polished throat (gentle brasso and cloth) / did rain dance / changed recoil spring / etc. / different operators. Sold it off.
Love your videos. You are the best. What's your recommendation for a carry G27 if I just want a metal shoe to replace the plastic one. Or is there a complete trigger you recommend?
Did a search but couldn't find a clear answer to what a pre "EH" Glock 19 is or what it even means. Does it have something to do with the trigger bar or some serial number? Anybody?
There was a series of early g19s pre-eh serial number that had issues with the frames and they will only take this certain bar that has a plus + symbol stamped into the top of it
I just bought the psa Dagger 9mm essetnialy the glock 19 gen 3 just cheaper and the parts inside the Dagger have that black coating all over the metal parts but I'm curious to know if the combat trigger will fit? It should right
Not for OEM and not in stock that's for sure. I just paid $10.88 per safety plunger. That is a $2 part Max from block $1.80 if you're a stalking dealer. I would love to see a link of what you're talking about brother.
