Baby shampoo actually has certain ingredients that are not good for bearded dragon, that's why they tell you just to use water 😐 also, I would reccomend you getting a reptisun 10.0 tube light, as they cover a bigger area, and are better for your bearded dragon as the coil bulbs have been known to hurt a bearded dragons eyes. I love your videos!! Just want to make sure everyone is getting the right information.

Hi everyone! I see many of you asking for a non toxic shampoo for beardies, and I've got something I use that can be used on any surfaces they are on, as well as a clean up for poops too! I mix white vinegar with a natural, broad spectrum anti bacterial cleaner that also kills viruses, salmonella (which bearded dragons carry), as well as the common cold! Its Grapefruit Seed Extract! Which is an all natural, food grade additive that has amazing uses all around the house and your pets & kids. It can be ingested to shorten the length of a cold or flu, as well as on surfaces where your beardie hangs out and licks. It's available in most natural food stores, and lasts a long time, since only a small amount packs a serious punch! I put about 13 drops in a larger sized squirt bottle, with white vinegar, and use it everywhere I would normally use chemical products. When it comes to beardie poops (OMG the stink!) it works great, even sprayed directly on his bum and tail. My guy Rex doesn't really do "bath time", but this mixture works great with paper towels to wipe him down, and I feel safe knowing that hospitals and other institutions are using Grapefruit Seed Extract to kill nasty bacterial bugs, and even MRSA!

Alpha Stark Every bearded dragon is different. Fitz used to go daily, but now he goes every other day! And I usually do a thorough tank cleaning monthly, and I clean the area if he makes a mess :)
Thanks for the video! I got a beardie for my classroom this week. Just curious about feeding them. Since she is in a classroom, I have to put her food out throughout the day. Can she eat too much? I have been putting Dubia Roaches in her terrarium and giving her hornworms every other day as well. I just am a little worried of under/over feeding her :)
Troy Smith You can put the vegetables out every morning and feed the insects as usual throughout the day! She can only overeat on insects, beardies usually know when to stop eating vegetables when they get full :)
I bathe mine each and every morning. That is how I potty trained him. He never ever had a accident in his tank.. He is nearly 2 years old.. I have artificial grass in his tank witch is huge.. Yes! They can be potty trained!!

Dalan Brinkerhoff I usually change my oats/cheerios when they start to look shriveled up. I just replace those. I only do a full substrate change when absolutely needed or I clean the whole bin which is probably bi-weekly/month since I have only a few in at a time. And you should feed them every day or other day, up to you! :)

Hi I just got my bearded dragon 5 days ago but his beard is always black not just when I hold him but when he is in his tank to and his beard gets a black circle pattern when it turns black is this normal?

I was gonna feed Bacon until I saw a big thing on her butt and thought it was poop but then it was attached to her so I Google'd it and it said about prolapse ...I gave her a sugar bath as what the article said and I'm going to send her to the vets tmr.. Evon Banjo No, Fitz has never had this problem! It does sound like a prolapse or maybe something that it caught in the intestines that didn't fully come out yet! It is good that you are taking her to a vet! I hope everything goes well! :)
