I'm with your mom, tearing up remembering everything I have seen and learned with you on that little boat. Love both of you guys and little Oso as my own kids........fair winds and following seas,,,,,can't wait for the next adventures.
It's amazing how much stuff can be packed in such a small space! Emotional episode, and yes I found myself getting emotional when you started to walk away from her! I'm like, touch the boat, touch the boat, and then you did! Your Mom is fantastic and what a great help! Now I know where you get your good looks! Great episode, Great Memories, moving forward on making more! Take care you three!
Damn, that was harder to watch that I thought it would be. This old country boy did cry. Also, brought back memories of David (my favorite video). With all that you have done to Atticus, a young couple will actually be getting a gift and a great start to their adventure.
John here in Honduras. I can't believe I got emotional along with you. I've been watching for long time and one week I watched from the beginning. I feel like I've been along with you guys the whole time. I don't know how you guys survived on such a small boat. Sailing Uma is a small boat too. I'm been watching your two channels the longest. Looking forward to more adventures
Mom, you’re awesome! Remind me of my mother. Hard working and massive heart. Jordan, watching her clean, dry, and oil your Allen wrenches, she’s defo a KEEPER MIL!!!!
When you patted her bow before heading onto your new life... I swear I could see her boot stripe smile wishing you and Jordan happy sailing whereever you 🚶🎠🚶! ❤ go next.... as do we all.
Your journey has been so amazing and I'm so happy for you. I think many people don't understand how brave you have to be to sail away. You worked so hard and come so far! Truly inspiring!
I've got to hand it to you, filming while your sweating in the humid climate while hard at work! Your stuff is so professionally done I always enjoy your hard work Thanks! Your moms cool too!
I just want to Thank you guys for what you do with the Sailing life on UA-cam! You have inspired me to go back into sailing after a 5-year sabbatical and you have inspired me to start a UA-cam channel about my new sailing adventures! I'm a few months away from having my channel up and running 😁 but I do have my channel and now I'm getting my sailboat ready... Thank You and happy Sailing 😁
Your mum is an absolute star Desiree but I guess you already know that. You both did a great job getting Atticus 1 ready for sale. I hope her new owners love her as much as you. Cheers and happy sailing.
Great episode ! I sure hope you guys sell A1 quickly. You two have really great families for support. I’ve been subscribed to SPA for over a year and I feel that I know both of you like close friends. Des “Buddy” is such a pretty and sweet young lady and Jordan “Bud” is a very resourceful fellow so as an engineer I enjoy watching him solve problems. You both have what it takes to make it through anything. Jordan, don’t ever take for granted what a strong and supportive wife you have, you are a lucky man. I’m looking forward to the next chapter, in which I mean kids. You two will be great parents ! I’m going to buy some merch so I can help a little and feel more invested in your journey. Be safe !
Wow that was very emotional, and it’s not even my boat. Following along from the beginning of your adventures I feel so attached to Atticus I. Sad to say goodbye to her.
As to Atticus l.. Dsiriree's never give in and never give up perseverance was the key. Jordan would make a fine coach, a guy who consistently gets people to do things that they don't think their capable of doing.
Dez I feel your pain of saying goodbye to one chapter, it bee a long time watching your journey, the hard time mixed with the fun times, ya'll leaving how to do things the right way, making ya'll mistakes, putting things right, jordan knowledge, learning to mentain, maintaining that everything stays working but ya'll did it, now you'll have a beautiful boat that will take you anywhere, watching Dez, her mom having the last drink baught tears 😢my eyes too happy sailing on your next adventure guy's , much love to ya'll folks ❤
Thank goodness your mom was there with you to help clean out Atticus... That was an awful lot of stuff you packed away on that little boat... But I understand that because that's what happens when you fix up a boat, you tend to keep a lot of stuff with thoughts of needing it in the future... I cried when you said goodbye to Atticus.. it's not easy to leave something behind that you poured your heart and soul into for many years..
Very emotional video of a part of your lives that were strong building blocks. You have a Great mom Des! It was nostalgic seeing my name temporarily memorialized in your cabin. Thank you everyone for your teamwork in donating to Des & Jordan along the way and we hope to continue doing so:-)
"It's a hot day in Panama" ... as a Canadian who's used to -40C weather but who lived in Panama for 6 years I can tell you that EVERYDAY is hot in Panama.
Absolutely amazing episode! I love your enthusiasm and what you are doing to help the sailing community. I hope that whoever buys Atticus will have as much fun and happiness as you have both had. Love from NE England. X
Nice work guys! You saved that boat from the scrap pile. You've given it a new life, and I'm sure someone will take it from here and make good use of her. Congratulations!
Oh it is a sad bittersweet episode .. good job mom and daughter getting her emptied, organized, cleared and cleaned out.. Wow !! Your hearts are ginormous for sure ♥ yeah I stole that fitting term you used..
The problem is you were stuck in a place where neither of you could leave the boat. You were stuck in a frustrating and inescapable position. This creates stress. When people have such stress they seek to relieve it. In your case it was the subconscious defense mechanism causing you to attack each other. The mind and spirit seeks relief and desires to lash out at the cause of the stress. In your case it was each other. I doubt any relationship could endure that nightmare situation. Swimming off the stress was a sound idea for a solution.
Nice job D !! Great video too...u really make me wanna become a sailor with all those memories and emotions. What a life. And you still have so much more to come!! Exciting 😁
Great Video as always. Atticus I, A wonderful “little boat” that started your great big journey. Congratulations on Atticus II and the great adventure going forward.
I can so relate to the emotions you were feeling. When I sold my first boat years ago I cried like a baby. No one can understand until you own your first boat just how much they mean to you. They very much become a part of you.
The price listed for Atticus on your website is insane. Even if a potential buyer had to hire out the bulkhead repairs, they would have a blue water ready pocket cruiser for under $20,000. What a steal. I hope and expect she goes soon.
Your mum is an absolute pet. Lovely to see her. Wow have hard time saying goodbye for end of the season. Couldn't imagine saying goodbye forever especially when you worked SO hard to make A1 your home. HUGS

I’ve enjoyed watching every one of your episodes. But I don’t know you guys and still want to go cry in my beer after watching this. You’ve been through A LOT together with this boat. You can replace the boat but never those experiences. Here’s a salute to Atticus and a big cheers to Atticus 2. Can’t wait to see your future adventures!

I have to link this episode to him and give him some numbers. You have both worked VERY hard to make this channel what it is. Good for you! I watch many sailing channels.
