You are the most honest shop I ever seen. No one would ever admit to a customer they made a mistake. I live in Jackson tn I’m thinking about driving my 2012 impala Ltz to your shop for timing chains 3.6vvt. Absolutely NO issues just thinking about having timing chains done at your shop. Has 80000 thousand miles no check engine lights nothing. Drop it off come back pick it up. I have trust issues with shops around my way. Great video thx.PS I change the oil myself every 3000 miles with valoline synthetic.

Oh shoot, thats the notorious VVT 3.6 with timing chain problems. Yes have them replaced with the updated parts. I think there might be a recall on that VVT

Bought a drum of herbicide. Removed the cap. The seal was intact....noticed a small hole....yes that's right someone bought it siphoned it returned it.
This would make couple thousand gallons of spray when watered down...mixed.
Just imagine how maddening that would have been
    There are chanchers out there.
I will deff look at parts now after this.
Alex is a honest fellow to put that on video and broadcast it
    Unless
    Na....lol

I’ve been working on my 2014 jeep Wrangler sport for five months, troubleshooting all the issues that had I finally got it to a point where it runs drives and steers just how I need it to far better than when I first bought the vehicle. I had to replace the entire front and suspension.

Decades ago I could run Autolite in my hotrod 440 and they worked well. Champions fouled easily if it flooded when starting.

I used to get customers who'd get so irritated when their car wouldnt "act up" for me. Then i had mgt. Just wanting me to guess, put a part on and send it on its way. Uh uh, not my style. And yeah, Autolites are the bottom of the barrel, when i moonlighted with oreilly autoparts, autolites were always the cheapest on the screen. Its likely too late Alex, but some of these late models (especially GMs) , you can pull a majority of the dash assembled and put it on the seats to allow access to the heater box. You can skip past the book time in just a couple of hours...sometimes. good video Alex, keep it up!

I had a ford tempo. It would always run hot. I took it to the shop. They told me it was the thermostat. I got it replaced a few times. The temperature would stay down, but it would go back up in a few months.

Luckily that fuel pump didn't arc out starting a fire or worse an explosion💥💥great catch again. That's called paying attention to details. It would have been overlooked by a newbie mechanic or a rushed mechanic.

Do not use champion spark plugs in a Ford ranger. I found that out the hard way. Went back to motorcraft run like a champ.

At how many miles do you recommend changing oil in the 3.6? Told family member every 5k and to use the same oil every time. He has already experienced the lifter, rocker, camshaft issue! Thanks for the great videos.

Hey Mr doctor, my wife has a 08 Altima that jerks when accelerating and also when coming to a slow stop. Could this be caused by sparks too or does that sound more like a transmission issue?

    • @AlexTheCarDoctor
      @AlexTheCarDoctor  5 місяців тому

Sounds like transmission if the check engine light is not flashing meaning there is a misfire
