Sure seems you have a lot to remember. I can see how easy it would be to mix up hay. Spray paint sounds like a good idea. You film a variety of subjects which makes the channel appealing. Thanks for your efforts.
Oh my goodness.
1. What customer is loading what hay shipping out of state?
2. What hay goes on my truck to what customer?
3. What do I charge for freight?
4. Does the squeeze need to go?
5. Do we have a back haul?
6. Do I need to pick up product for the Feedstore?
7. What price did I quote that guy in TX, NM, NC, FL?…
8. Fill out field load tickets.
9. Determine hay quality.
10. Pick which barn/stack to put it in.
11. Make sure all vehicles are running.
12. Help office fix problems.
And the list goes on.
Bales, I’ve used a spiral bound notebook as a daily logbook for years. It only takes a minute or two to make notes. Or the next morning you completely note what happened yesterday. That takes 5 minutes. Also works for keeping track of employees on different jobs.
I’m so scattered and forgetful that this notebook is my only chance. Really comes in handy when billing 6 months later.
Thanks for the great videos. Hope All are Safe and Well.
I agree with you 100%. But I still forget!!! Then if I remember to write something, I forget some of the things I’m supposed to write!
I loved the video driving beside the pickup machine. That was cool to see.
Lots more to come!!
I like watching the high speed mowers n the Zak jokes. Have a great day Trevor
I like watching the balers and picking up the bales in the field mostly thanks for your videos
Awesome. I’ve been spending a lot of time the last few days filming them.
Good job on the harobed ( Roadsider). I like that but also I like watching the swathers go down through the fields nowadays I can't believe how fast they go.
My favorite videos are the ones regarding irrigation. Working for an Irrigation District, I like to see how it's done in other areas.
Ok!!
All that hay . All that work . That's why your THE KING OF HAY in the USA
Ummmm. King of making videos of hay…
Yesterbay l load my first load of hay, at small bale, happy season from Greece...😊
Interesting 🎉 good dirt. Yay!
Have u ever looked at bale baron that takes little bales and bundles and ties them into a big bale? They are pretty sweet running machines they make self propelled units that pick up bales similar to your newhollands and a pull type one to pull behind a bailer
They don’t make those for the size 3 string we make.
👍
Just watching the automatic bale picker upper, made me envious remembering all the hot humid days of loading hay in S. Ontario, by hand with a 2 prong hay fork.
Oi 👍👍👍👍🐴🐂🐃🐃🐃 eu não sei que esse trem aí um fardão muito bonito é para tratar os animais cavalo boi vaca parabéns
Great video Trevor, what’s the update on the Challenger tractor, thanks have a blessed evening
I think it was fixed.
why haven't I heard of #3 quality hay? we have (#1 premium, #1good, #2, and Black quality) keep getting after it Trevor
Oh yeah. It’s #3 horse quality. I really really nitpick the
Hi Trevor how many bales in a squeeze stack love the channel keep up the great work
Hi! A standard shippable stack is 64. But we can build 72, 84, 92, 100. Thank you!!
Any chance you could do a bit of a walkthrough and how too run the bale squeeze? Gonna be running one here soon and looking for tips lol. Thanks and great vid!
Oh man. Yeah, they are pretty straightforward. Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast. Don’t get in a hurry or you’ll know stacks over.
@@BalesHayFarmandRanch seems like it, just can never be too prepared or ready for the unexpected haha
Its only a small fire no worries 🔥💯🕳️
Trevor Bales, Do you know how many tons of hay you guys make each year? Just curious.
It fluctuates every year. Some years 35,000 some 40,000.
What happened to the bale flippers you had installed on the bale chute last year?
My guys didn’t like it. And it was heating up the oil too much.
@@BalesHayFarmandRanch oh okay. That makes sense. I’m sure there aren’t that many bales laying flat anyway to justify it. Oh, that was my first comment too. Been watching your videos for a year or so now. I work on a farm and have a little of my own up in Washington state. We raise alfalfa as well. Our growing season is much shorter than yours. Haha.
What are those rained on big bales selling for
$150 a ton.
What’s the highest TDN alfalfa you have?
I don’t know. We never test it.
hayfield have spacing issues like row crops// I spy bareish ground?
Some areas have either too much salt, or some areas have off soil. Who knows.
