- Want to see how the Halftime set was made? The team behind the set takes you on an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show stage.
Video by Pepsi.
I wish this video was longer because although the half time show was incredible, this is the type of stuff I like to see and wonder how it was all done and set up.
I completely agree
Right that part!!
It's A Video Out Showing The People Setting it Up. The Gentleman and His Crew Said They Usually Have to Shift The Props , but They Live in LA and it made it Easier
Love watching time lapses of these things being setup. so crazy how quick it all comes together
It was so awesome to wstch
It hurt the set that the sky was still light. I could imagine it would have looked way better had the stadium been darker
I was in the field cast for the show and I can confirm when the sky was completely dark the field looked incredible, after seeing the show in the pitch dark during rehearsals I was underwhelmed by how they looked during the actual show
Woow!!!we really should appreciate the people behind the design and preparation of the stage...and this year's half time was the best...totally looved it.
So proud to have had the opportunity to be part of the Half Time Crew. It is great to get to see this video to get more insight on the process and "behind the scenes". I would love to learn more on the discussions with artists regarding their plans, the song list, and collaboration between them and stage designers to put come up with the final stage design.
This was so cool to watch. I always wondered how they pulled these things off. Great job
Ahhhh, so 50 was on the 50 yard line!
Right!! ;) 🙌🏽🙌🏽
No, some pudgy 50 look alike was upside down in da club on the 50 yard line
Out. Freakin. Standing!!!!!!! Everyone involved deserve raises on raises on raises! It was incredible and the expertise was on full display. The creativity is awe-inspiring. Thanks so much for posting!
The set was incredible! All the color changes and effects was so cool! Snoop morphing into a dog in the background picture frame was crazy cool! Great job on design and set up.
I"m re-watching the half time show and i NEVER saw the morphing until about 2 minutes ago!!!
Did an absolute amazing job. It was fantastic. 👏👏👏
Oh gosh! Goose bumps! We only saw the show on youtube I was thinking hard how this was done. ... And you did the setup less than 10 minutes. Oh! great work! It's very informative
I was hoping this video would be longer!! wow!!! amazing work you guys!! thank you. Take a bow!!!!!
It's 4:45 for me. The editor needs a raise
love these behind the scenes videos, thank you :D
I used to be a project manager for one of the best companies that do projects like this in the UK and honestly, it was probably my favourite job in my 10-year career. The craftsmanship of all the different techniques that go into such a project is unmatched! Well done to the team!
Woow, amazing. I thought the control panel was real 😊.
Had the Halftime Show been in the dark, it would have been maybe better.
Just an unbelievable amount of work and preparation for a 20 minute performance... Crazy.. Probably the most expensive 20 minutes in TV history..
Thanks for making my best halftime show😍
Really a masterpiece
Really sad the show wasn’t at night where we could really appreciate the light show.
Love seeing the behind the scenes for these halftime shows would love to see the process of which songs they pick for this kind of performance seeing what could of been
Awesome video! This show was incredible
Amazing set up for sure. Congrats to all the team. We sure enjoyed the whole show. 👍 👍 👍
This is so cool! You literally answered all of my questions!
They did a phenomenal job! My favorite halftime show by far.
Phenomenal job All Access, Atomic, Es Devlin, Bruce Rogers and others. Thanks for bring Compton to my home screen. Masterpiece.
wow i love this... i always amazed how the sets are made...
Thank you for one of the best halftime shows
thank you for giving us what we needed you all did a wonderful job 👍
Wow this is incredible to watch, creative juices flowing and mixing!!!!
*AMAZING* .....
All I can say is f-ing freaking amazing.... 👏🏾
This is it's own *movie*
*THANK YOU DESIGN TEAM* 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 and everyone who worked to make this happen 💕
*LOVED IT* - *JUST AWESOME*
Amazing work all around 👏
The talent all across the board everyone deserves phase
Hats off... Legends. Music just complemented the stage.
You all did an awesome 👌 job! It takes teamwork to make the Dream work. Thank you 😊 💓
I was at the game it only took them about 3 minutes to set up the stage
Damn this video is epic!🔥💪🏻
SUCKS THAT THE HALF TIME WASNT DONE AT NIGHT
What a master piece! Excellent master minds!
Thank you so much for sharing this video. It’s so interesting! How much did this all cost to produce roughly?
Bet it’s priceless because the production, the artist and the crew are making history
7 million i think cuz dre paid 7 milion from his own bank cuz he always wanted to do this or smthin
Team, you did very well. I am impressed. Kudos.
Wow the productions is mind blowing,
This was awesome to watch, nothing but respect
Real Professional!
What I want to know is what they did with all of that after? Trash it?
I could have watched this for at least a half hour
I love behind the scenes.
Thanks for creating this.. and sharing
Now the biggest question.
How much did this cost!!!!!!
This is insane work!
Great stuff, but I really didn't get the effect of the floor lights representing Compton at night. I was very disappointed that the cars didn't bounce up and down during the finally.
1. Daylight when they performed
2. The artists had give 14 minutes only.
3. Dre got recovered from Aneurysm
4. Cars symbolize West coast vibe
@@Ieusu_christe88 Its all good. A lot of money goes into a NFL Halftime show. The creative team should of thought about the lighting conditions at Sofi: especially if the SB was played in the daytime.
1) I thought the lighted floor was carpeting with a plaid design look.
2) The cars definitely represented West Coast but making them bounce was a "trademark" to the rap industry and the LA community.
3) You can have anyone sit behind the steering wheel of the cars for them to bounce. A remote control could of worked and nice camera angles for the finally.
4) Why would a jail building be part of the set to represent Compton? I would of settled for another structure representing police brutality.
5) The performers were great, I was hoping Chuck D and Flavor Flav "Public Enemy" would of made a guest appearance.
I was thinking exactly the same. It must have taken a lot of effort to do all the light work... To then perform on daylight and not see the light effect??? I don't understand it. I am very puzzled with this.
@@JohanZIX it was def made in mind with the performance being during nighttime. It sucks that it wasn't but it is weird that it was planned that way, maybe the schedule changed? Idk
Thats wat i always wanted to know. How you got that setup on and off the field. Thank You!
When I saw the map outline, I saw Compton!
I can't believe that in 1999 I was a Dre, Eminem, and Snoop Fan but my Uncle Glen from Big Bad Voodoo Daddy played the half time show.
Amazing!!! Loved it
Much love ❤️
so Dr DRE did pretend as if the music console is a working piece. lol
Wow..this is very impressive 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Awesome work. The one question I would have is where did the power and DMX Lines go to the carts? When watching the setup videos I cannot find the line to the carts. I suppose that it went into the first cart and then the others were patched through...right? Did it come from one of the light carts underneath the cloth?
you guy's are genius
Great work!
Job well done 👏
It would have been so much better if the cars were bouncing to the music. Those hopping cars in the rap videos were so cool.
WOW
This project is an Architecture Masterpiece = )
i wish they would’ve let dre actually DJ
Yes I was wondering during the performance if that studio console was really hooked up??
I guess not lol!
This is amazing!!!!
AWESOME SO AWESOME AMAZING SO AMAZING
Game shoulda been part of the show b/c he's from Compton & has always fw Dre real talk straight up 💯
This is interesting, Thanks!
Awesome job...
Amazing!
Is it scrapped after show?
Would have been good... if it was either night or dark in the stadium lol. Technical oversight from your part
Dam how impressive people never get acknowledgement for wht really matters
Some of the critic say super bowl 56 half time show lack “production value” 😂
Imagine the logistics senior officer 🥵🥵
Smart people
Wait, if the sound console was empty, then what was Dr Dre doing on it during Lose Yourself?
@Lux those guys were actually playing
Anderson Park and them guys were actually playing
@@shaksham.22 they were playing their instruments but their actions were not driving the music we heard. The NFL is famous for not allowing live music to be a part of the show/broadcast of every Superbowl half time show. The Red Hot Chili Peppers famously performed with short leads dangling unattached from their guitars/bass purpusfuly ruining the illusion in protest to the NFL not allowing them to play the music live. The vocals are the only thing that come through live.
@@doofer80 thats quite sad tbh
It would have sounded fire if it was live. All this time i was believing that they actually played it though i had my own doubt about it too given the elite level of coordination in music transitions
Wow!
All the hard work goes without notice and under appreciated. My hats off to the men and women that made it all happen for the artists. Without them, the artist is basically useless
Just out of curiosity. Did Em, Snoop, Dr. Dre, Mary, Kendrick and 50 thank the crew for the set up?
Imagine paying $10k plus just for the halftime show and just see the back of their heads 💀
❤️❤️❤️
🔥🔥
Am I the only one that watched this to see how 50 cent stood upside down…
He was hanging from a bar. Like we did on the jungle gym back in the day. I would not do that now.
😎👍👏👏👏 thanks for all NFL relatives.
I wonder if the set designers were also from Compton how the set would have turned out
I believe Dr. Dre would tell the set designers what he wanted the set to look like and they would draft pictures of the buildings for his approval. I live in Compton and just about each 'building' had a significance. From that circular spike structure which is a replica of the sculpture at city hall, to that court house replica, to that club 'Eve After Dark' . The 'Tams #21' sign which is the Tams burger place on the corner of Rosecrans and Central which is where Suge Knight backed out and ran over someones head as he tried to escape gun fire after a "NWA" get together post movie production(something like that). That is the reason he is in prison now.
It would be nice to keep some things mysterious.
Leave to Pepsi . . . Oh my fin’ god!
👏🏾
holy shit
all of that LED work just to have the performance on daylight...... 😑
They have just open the door for more 💰 and contracts
More than half of that wasn't even noticed. Small doesn't matter in a giant stadium.
People of Compton..please give a bow before N.W.A
- Eazy-E
- Dr Dre
- Ice Cube
- DJ Yella
- MC Ren
- D.O.C
Hold on a sec ... You telling me that Dr Dre was playing on fake sound counsel ... It's just disappointing .. but above all I enjoy the showe
Duh!
@@thetruthhasconsequences58 duh duh 🙄

@@doofer80 ok got it ... Thanks alt for explain it to me appreciated ❤️❤️
so they destroyed 3 fully functioning 24-channel mixers for this? smh
Yes, I dont like that part either. A craftsmen ripping out the craftsmenship out of a piece of intricate equipment.
@@Joskemom I would imagine they were old, like from a studio refurb or something
Yeah I’m sure the audience enjoyed the show…on the home side anyway.
Its not a joke
Who’s speaking I can only read lips
When I saw the performence I didn‘t understand what the ground was it looked so weird. They should have shown this Video before.
So who paid for all this?
The NFL pays the production costs of the Halftime Show.
