I was there that night, exactly 30 years ago. Tull's first time in Turkey and I wasn't going to miss that. It was one of the most memorable nights in my life, thanks to Ian, Martin B, David, Doane and late Martin Allcock.
The greatest rock band in history with the greatest front-man, songwriter, and musician. Tull and Ian Anderson will live forever in musical history. They have never received the recognition they deserve because the music industry is in the hands of corrupt capitalists who are obsessed with the bottom line and profits to the detriment of artistic quality and accomplishment. Tull fans are the bearers of a secret that one day will become known to the masses worldwide in a world freed from the necrotic grip of capitalism.
Sometimes one journalist writes down some ridiculous but memorable nonsense, so it gets stuck in people's heads and will be plagiarized forever. This surely happened in 1987.
Well, in just a quick listen one might get that impression. One more listen and you'll be aware of some musical intricatry and certain musicianship that gives away that this is on a higher level of musicianship than that of Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler. And I say this as a fan of Dire Straits.

1991 concert in Istanbul... He came out on a wheel chair and then suddenly got off of it and blew us the hell away.
Best band ever
Yep, absolutely, especially back in the 70s ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Saw then 23 times. Always Excellent !
Great lyrics. Tull lusting after a young helper.
That flute solo near the end was quite amazing!
Agree! Absolutely breathtaking!!!
Fantastici li seguo ormai dal 1981.... che dire unici.
Lo conocí en 1993, en rock 101, me firmó 4 discos y mi flauta transversal, un genio !!!
Summer 1991 I was in Budapest at age 16 and really was hot nights there
Dundee 👁️.…. Sexiest song I've ever heard 🤘... Imagination is a beautiful picture.
Another favorite. Yet still not in the R n R Hall of Shame
The Hall of Lame!
Scintillating. On their own street--as entertaining as anyone I've ever seen.
Interessanti le 8 luci rosse ..
Jethro, where is the flute??-)
Right at the beginning?
Breathtaking flute jam right near the end of this performance… Ian doesn’t disappoint ♥️♥️♥️
Jethro Tull in version Mark Knopfler.

@@jublaim Thanks, I think this is "Dire Straits Gold", never reached by Dire Straits themselves.
@@jublaim further to your very apt comment, Ian’s flute jam at the end is absolutely off the scale… on another level entirely!
