You're either going to feel fine after your parents leave, or you're going to hate everything for days.
I moved in to my school last fall and it was really hard. I missed my family (and dorm living kind of sucks), their cooking, my animals, etc. You get used to it, and it's not as bad as it seems those first few weeks. It might only take a day or two for you to adjust too! Everyone is different!

@@ishikadalal9406 hi! I believe that they’ve improved a lot when it comes to fulfilling financial need! I received about 60k per year from NYU, which was the entire tuition. Adding on pell grant and RaiseMe scholarships, I only have to pay 10k a year which I hope to get at least partially paid by other scholarships.

I'm only 13 lol, but I've ALWAYS wanted to move to NYC. My dream is to go to NYU for college, and then just continue to live in NYC. I come from a small town in Kentucky, and it seems stupid for me to go to such a big place and have these big dreams, while everyone else who lives here plans to go to a small college here, which LMU isn't bad and will most likely be my backup plan, it's just not what I want for myself. Or this small 2-year college, which isn't bad again, but I don't want that.
Hii. I just wanted to say that, if going to NYU and living in NYC is your dream, then GO FOR IT! Dreaming isn't bad at all, and since I'm also from a town that is kinda small and I also wanted to move to a big city, I completely get what you say. You just have to work hard and toward your dreams, and I'm sure you'll make it. You can do it!!

Love how students are moving into dorms for University in America when here in Australia, everyone just goes by car or train.
A lot of people in America do too since it’s so expensive! Dorms are really just for people who’s family can afford it for them, or for those who feel that loans for it are a good investment for the experience
