What happens if you record Vertical content when the filter is set to Horizontal and vice versa? Do you lose the polarization? Any other setbacks besides the losing the polarization?
You have less polarization.
Do these work when taking panorama shots? Have seen some comments on Amazon it will get the gimbal stuck?

No ND/PL, CPL, or VND filter with 2 optical glass can work for Panorama/360shots; this isn't a filter problem but its filter science this article explains the same havecamerawilltravel.com/polarizer-filter-panoramas/
At the same time, we haven't heard of a single issue of gimbal getting stuck from any buyers. We have contacted the buyer you mentioned but are yet to be heard from him.

Are these optimal for taking photos (whether JPEG or RAW) as well as video? Or should I remove the filter for taking photos?
Sure you can use filters for picture as well.
I just bought a set of these last week. Shooting in landscape, set it to H and it gives near no polarisation effect. Set it to V however whilst still shooting landscape and it works great! Any idea what's happening there?
Hey Alan this might be due to the direction you can always set the polarization as per your need that’s the whole reason of 360° rotation.
@@FreewellGear thanks I've got CPL filters for my fuji cameras just struggling to understand the H and V markings as it appears lightning them up gives the least polarisation in their respective orientation. It's just very confusing and the opposite of what I've read about the filters.

Does the nd/pl filter still keep the drone under the 249g mark?
Hey, Emil filter is 1.1 grams with all the scales we measure up to 5 different mini 3 which keeps it under 250 but you should consider the actual weight listed of drone & filters.

Not really. You can and probably will want to tweak them slightly.

@@FreewellGear i see, thanks for the reply, based on the review i read, it wasnt so much issue with the glass, but the gimbal is physically obstructed by the filter, can you confirm?

Used first time today, the video is terrible. All setings as recomended only couple times forget change vertical to horizontal on polarised. Photos are No.1 video unreal colours, very bad.
So definitely you aren’t using as intended please put down your entire settings step by step.
But what if you switch horizontal or vertical shooting mid air is that possible? Or do you need to bring the drone down and switch the mark
Hey you need to adjust the polarization based on the mode you are using.
In one way you may find this troublesome however in another way this is a new mode added to the drone so to uses its Full potential you have to use accessories as a recommended.
