    You are right deva curl takes a lil learning to make them really work for you. It took me a while to like deva curl products but I think I finally have learned how to use what works for me and how to use them properly.

    The Arc Angel gel actually has more hold, hence the “maximum” part in the name. The Ultra Defining Gel does have strong hold though.

    Pricey but worth it. I can see difference when washing it’s Mielle Organics Pomegranate & Honey vs. DC No Poo and Decadence. After Mielle, my hair looks frizzy, mostly on the top, low porosity section. With DC , no frizz. I overcome Mielle’s frizz by using DC Melt Into Moisture. It is the best, moisturized and detangles-my hair is dense, 3c/4a, coily but also bushy-MIM makes it smooth. After deep conditioning I rinse and use B’ Leave In. It makes my hair look silky, and defined. Following up with Earthtones Naturals Curling Gelly, my hair looks shiny with defined coils. I get multiple compliments every day. They are worth the price!

    Have u tried the B leave in? I love the melt into moisture. I deep conditioned with it today. I warmed it then added a tablespoon of jbco/eucalyptus Applied it for 30 minutes with heat. Rinsed but left a little in and omg! My hair is super soft and smell so good! $36 is steep but it made the staple list. 😁

      LolitasFro I haven’t tried the B Leave In. Have you? I’ve been curious about it. 🤔 & adding oils is a great idea! That $36 is definitely steep, but worth every penny! 🙌🏾

    Can the coconut supercream be used on its own? I just got my first Deva cut yesterday but my stylist didn't tell me to buy gel.

    • @BrittanyChere
      @BrittanyChere  6 років тому +3

      Ashlei211990 Hey Ashlei! 👋🏾 Yep. The supercream can be used by itself. It’s doesn’t provide much hold when used alone, so that’s why I pair it with a gel... but it can totally be used by itself for a light hold :)

    I love there products and I have an arsenal of products. How did you refresh 2 and 3 day hair? That's the only problem I am having. TIA
    OAN: I have bought from Ulta during the 20% off coupon event on all products and DevaCurl website. Right now on Devacurl website, some sets are 25%.

    • @BrittanyChere
      @BrittanyChere  6 років тому +1

      A Hardy So glad you love these products too! 🤗 To refresh, I usually spray my trouble areas with water, add a little leave in conditioner, & add a little more gel to re-define the curls. I usually don’t have to refresh my entire head.

    In Canada the prices are crazy $58 dollars for a 30oz bottle of no-poo decadence and one condition decadence. I just purchased a travel size kit that was $54 dollars for the no-poo decadence, one condition decadence and 2 other products I can't remember off the top of my head. I plan on giving #devacurl a try and see what the results are. You hair is amazing and the end result using the products is bomb! Thanks for posting.

      That's what we curly girls have to deal with (here anyway) ugh... where I live the products for natural hair is pretty limited and I have to either order online or get my auntie to get my hair products from Toronto. But your video was very helpful and I've subscribed to your channel :-D

    Love this video. I agree that all products have a learning curve. I only wear wash and gos. I use Kinky Curly Curling Custard and Knot Today and it took me a long time to figure out how to use them to MY liking. I tried Deva because I follow the CG method, but my hair hates protein, and I didn't know it at the time. Your hair looks great!

    • @BrittanyChere
      @BrittanyChere  6 років тому

      tkincey Thanks so much for watching. 🤗 I recently tried the Kinky Curly Knot Today & Curling Custard. I liked it & I definitely agree with you about the learning curve with products. As far as protein, I need to research more about how it affects your hair. Sometimes I wonder if my hair hates it too. What signs do you look for to tell?

  • @Texasbama2
    @Texasbama2 6 років тому +1

    I used the products on my 4yr old as soon as they came in today . I am so shocked at the results from one use. I hope it works on my texture of hair. Not sure what to use when taking apart her twists though, does devacurl have any kind of oils or products you would recommend for that?

    • @BrittanyChere
      @BrittanyChere  6 років тому

      M 205 Awwwwwwh yay! I’m so glad it worked 🤗🤗🙌🏾 I’m sure it’ll work on your textured hair too.
      As for oils, I’m sure you’d be fine with using a light oil when taking down her twists. Maybe try sweet almond or almond oil? Or Aragon oil? Those are the ones I use & aren’t too heavy.

    • @Texasbama2
      @Texasbama2 6 років тому

    Did you get any foam when you used the melt into moisture mask??

    • @BrittanyChere
      @BrittanyChere  6 років тому +1

      Yes! I get a little foam when I'm working the product through my hair, but it's not too much. I just use a tiny dollop in each section now, so I don't get too much foam. What about you?

    • @chrissytrades08
      @chrissytrades08 6 років тому

      Brittany Chere I get a lot of foam. My hair looks moisturized and it feels weird until I add the leave in. Overall I have been getting good results.

    How come you used the Delight? Is there a special reason?

    • @BrittanyChere
      @BrittanyChere  5 років тому

      Kimberly Dedjoe I like that one because it suds up a bit. The Decadence no poo is all creamy and stuff, which some folks don’t mind, but I like the bubbles from the Delight ☺️

    • @Kim.my.d
      @Kim.my.d 5 років тому

      Ooooh ok. I didn’t know any of them actually suds up. Thankssss for the reply

  • @amberwood6835
    @amberwood6835 6 років тому

    Hey! So I just watched your video and my daughter's hair is very similar to yours, but my daughter's hair gets SO MUCH build up. I use the no poo(decadence), 1 condition (decadence) and I actually leave that in bc I love it so much! Then, I put the heaven in hair in and lastly the ultra defining gel. She sleeps in a banded braid and when she wakes up it's so beautiful, like I don't really have to do anything to it, but by the time I pick her up from daycare it's dry looking and like I was saying initially, you can see the product build up in her hair. It's also stiff and not bouncy. Maybe I'm using too much..??? I've spent a lot of $ on Deva curl and I really think that I like it, I'm just wondering if I'm not doing something right. I'm wondering by your video, if I should use the heaven in hair first and then rinse it out (since it seems so heavy) and then just do the one condition and gel?? I don't know I'm so confused! She's only 3, but has a ton of hair, very very tight, corkscrew curls and I'm trying my best to find the best routine! Also, her edges, just like you were saying, needs lots of attention and you mentioned you use a heavier gel, what do you use to keep your edges smooth all day? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! :)

    • @BrittanyChere
      @BrittanyChere  6 років тому +1

      Amber Wood : Hi Amber! So I think making this one correction will make a world of difference on your daughters hair. The Heaven in Hair is AMAZING, but it’s a deep conditioner that’s meant to be rinsed out. Leaving this treatment in is probably what’s causing the build up on her hair.
      Next time you wash her hair, try this way and see if it works:
      -Shampoo with the Decadence No Poo & rinse it out
      -Apply the Heaven in Hair deep conditioner, let it sit for 10-20 mins, then rinse it out (sometimes I let it sit in my hair with a shower cap on top... so my body heat can help the product penetrate my strands better)
      -Apply Decadence conditioner and leave it in... as it makes for an amazing leave in conditioner
      - Apply the Ultra Defining Gel to define her curls and lock in the style
      That should fix the buildup issue for you! :) Please let me know how it goes 🤗🤗🤗🤗 & thank you for watching my video!

    • @amberwood6835
      @amberwood6835 6 років тому

      Brittany Chere Hey! Thanks for the suggestion and for responding!! I actually tried everything you said, except, I actually did the eco gel gold that you were talking about in one of your videos after the one condition and all this white stuff started appearing :( I was like, " oh no!!!!" So I definitely can't mix the one condition with the eco gold gel. the reason I tried that was bc that gel seemed to hold your hair so well but it was still bouncy looking. Her hair is so stiff looking and so that's what I'm trying to find. I'm not in LOVE with the ultra defining gel just bc sometimes it makes her hair a little crunchy, however, I've not tried it right after the one condition.. I've always added it after I left in the heaven in hair! So I'll try it tonight!

    • @BrittanyChere
      @BrittanyChere  6 років тому

      Amber Wood : Awesome! The Blue Eco Style or the Gold one is what I use on my edges. My edges can be unruly without it 😂
