    OMG, the last time I was at thatTarget, I was stalking the Cerave area and so was another lady. She was probably 70 and had a beautiful complexion. I finally broke down and asked her if she watched Dr Dray and she did! We had a great conversation about our favorite products 😍😇😂

    I'm a premedical student in my fourth year at university and have been watching your videos for years. You by far have the most informative channel regarding skincare I have ever seen. I would love to hear about your journey as a medical student/resident and what drove you to this speciality, or others you had considered in the past. Dermatology is a very competitive field and I am super interested in the insight you have regarding academia!!!

    Love you and your Mom, you're both so sweet and genuine!!
    Talking about the movie Parasite, reminded me of a time probably twenty years ago. I was outside gardening in my front yard and two young boy's came riding down our cul-de-sac on their bikes. One boy said to the other"look at these big houses"! The other boy replied " l hate rich people". I looked up at that boy and saw the distain on his face. I'll never forget it, l felt so bad, almost ashamed, it was very strange. I had never really considered that type of feeling's from someone else before,it opened my eyes to be an more thoughtful and generous person. The boy changed my perspective on how l treat others and to be more mindful.

    I'm a hairstylist and I found a professional product line a few weeks ago at a beauty supply house I don't often frequent. The brand is called "no nothing" and is fraigrance free, professional quality, and marketed to people with sensitive skin. I would love to try this line to see if it holds up to other professional lines in terms of color protection/ retention, heat protection, and obviously esthetic results. I would love to see Dr. Dre try this line as well and review it from a dermatological perspective.

    I dont really get why there's fragrance in haircare anyway. Sure, i get WHY, but I want to smell like the perfume I choose for the day (and sometimes not anything at all) but I hardly ever want to smell like Fructis, you know.

    • @sable7114
      @sable7114 4 роки тому +1

      I get it it's like everyone smells your shampoo before you even walk into the room then everyone's focused on your hair staying so it smells so good! So if you do wear a scented body spray or something , that's all lost. I just put scented body stuff on an article of clothing or at my waistband as opposed to putting it on my skin and I'm also putting it farther away from my nose as I can actually start sneezing. When I was a child, fragrances would cause headaches.

    • @DrDrayzday

      Fructis is sort of an odd name....like sugar, but with more pizazz?? idk

      J.K. Tebben I prefer hair products that smell good only because my hair when wet smells like wet dog (not dirty dog/I never heat style my hair) and the only packaging I like is flip caps that are still detachable. It’s still sanitary but I can still get all the product out at the end of the bottle. But I also take into consideration whether the product is good for my hair.

    You really dont need to shampoo every day. If you do, you should dilute your shampoo and conditioner. One, it lasts longer because shampoos are so concentrated and they don't need to be. Literally a 10 to 1 ratio of water to shampoo will do you. Keep the shampoo on the scalp, dont pull through the length. Rinsing the shampoo will pull excess dirt or oil from the shaft. Condition the length of the shaft and dont coat your scalp in the conditioner. Even if you dont shampoo every day this is a really good method.

      Before finding these videos recently, I really thought it was just me! I use that sunscreen and it was the first one I tried that didn't pill up when reapplying or feel greasy (so I wouldn't be discouraged from reapplying!!) and didn't reek of fragrance. It also works well on my oily face! But as soon as I sweat even a little in the heat, not even from exertion, my eyes would sting like "F---!!! AAAH IT BURNS!!" like a vampire in sunlight, "hissssssssss!!!" lol.
      Really I am so glad to have answer now as to the cause!

    Dr Dray, is it okay to put chemical sunscreen over physical sunscreen when doing reapplications throughout the day?

    • @maggieprice357
      @maggieprice357 4 роки тому +21

      In some of her earlier sunscreen videos she has addressed this topic, but it was a long time ago. She has done this herself in videos past. So basically yes, it is okay. However, avovenzone, a filter in chemical sunscreens, has been shown to degrade titanium dioxide. If you’re using a mineral sunscreen that’s not zinc -only just be aware of that. But she said if you’re reapplying anyway, it’s not that big of a deal. Chemical sunscreens from outside the US that don’t have avovenzone are perfectly fine to put over mineral sunscreens also and, as far as I know, don’t degrade titanium dioxide.

      Ouch sounds like you're in pain, idk if you have some coin to spare but I believe Dr dray did use the Walgreens SPF which is good, maybe its compatible with you And it's affordable? Plus use Nivea creme (blue tin) on your skin after cleansing. It cures my eczema flare ups, and I use it daily. I'm so sorry you have a negative reaction to la Roche possay. Keep the bottle and study the ingredients, so you can avoid them in other products. Sometimes I spray milk onto my face and let that sit, rinse and dab in Nivea, and repeat every 4 hrs. That's all I can think of. Keep us posted on how youre doing, sending hugs! ♥️

      Try the CVS brand with the zinc that she mentioned in the video the other day. That's one on my list as well I would like to try since she Compares it to the eltamd which was on my list also but this one would be more affordable. Sometimes I would burst out into little Sweat Beads when I put on sunscreen but this doesn't happen anymore. For one I don't re wash my face in the mornings and just go straight for the sunscreen and for two I don't wear any foundation but might use a little loose face powder if I find the sunscreen is too shiny or oily looking. There are times I have reacted to Something in a new lipstick so have you started using another product on your face or on your lips that could be the culprit? I hope this gets better and if you're not going to use your sunscreen be sure to put on your hat and shades. Walgreens has the baby SPF in the Pink Tube which I didn't like very much because it leaves too much of a white cast on my face and it sort of dries into a white powder it seems, however, I purchased it on sale in a four pack with aloe vera gel and maybe that's how the product is when it's getting close to is expiration date and it was. I may try it again because it's good to use around your eyes.

    There's pas de chat and you've added a new ballet step -- pas de chien! What a fun Sunday morning with your lovely mom and the indefatigable Tybee. On the lookout for a good ff shampoo so will look for the KE. Been using Whole Foods 365 ff but find it too mild and have to lather, rinse and repeat which I usually don't do. Great for dry hair though. P.S. Bathing suit.

    I'm equally happy to know there is no silicone in this conditioner. That stuff is the devil on my hair type. Haven't used silicone hair conditioner in about 18 years. Tried dry shampoo one time and it made my hair feel very heavy and look very dull. Why has dry shampoo become a thing? I mean....just be clean and wash your hair. Is it because many people fear washing the color out of their hair?? Thanks for sharing! Your skin looks absolutely flawless! Hi to Mom and Tybee! One other thing....I'd love for you to do a video on *silicone-free sunscreen* . Happy Sunday ♥
