I just got a 300 set of Kalour pencils, they are a soft pencil with a great colour range and a really lovely deep tin with a train on the front. There were 10 trays of pencils, I got those and a pencil case as well for around $100 Australian. I like watching you, everything you do is so gentle. I lost my husband last December, I have trouble sleeping still so rather than just lie awake I am watching you colour. I have a 100 set of these pencils you are using, they were made for an overseas market and are the real thing. I got them from Ali Express. They are a hard pencil but excellent to work with and you make it look so easy. ☺️☺️
I’m so sorry for your loss. Sending you hugs 🤗 That’s a very good price for those Kalour pencils, and that’s a LOT of pencils. Thank you so much for watching, and for allowing me to keep you company when you can’t sleep. ❤️🤗
Thank you for sharing your colouring process. I watched your video for the first time yesterday, and it was really helpful. I’d like to learn how to colour by watching your videos.
I was fortunate enough to score a box of sixty for $15.00 a couple of years ago and I think for the price they are amazing... As you suggested, I love that they can be sharpened and hold a good point and, they also work well and complement the polychromos. They are a no-fuss pencil and quite the workhorse, well worth I believe having a set as part of one's "colouring toolbox"... I also own a set of 100 Crayola which I bought for their colour range. Again, lovely work and showing that you can achieve beautiful results with the cheaper brands of pencils and practice... Take care, Sharon - Melbourne
Thank you so much 💖💖 That is a great price!! They are such a lovely pencil, and would definitely be a great first pencil for someone just starting out. I’d love to hear how you are finding the Crayola pencils? Would they be worth doing the forth vignette with maybe?
@@MaritsColourfulAdventuresMarit, you are a “layerer”, so you should be able to use Crayola with no problems. Many people can’t stand them, but that is what I started with 6 years ago and I can get very good saturation with them…although as you already know, it will be different on different paper. They do require layering to get that though.
Hi ! Lovely, as usual 😊 do you think it makes sense to add those budget pencils when I already have Polychromos, Pablos, and Irojiten pencils ? I'm trying to be content with what I already own (which is a lot I think) but the collector's syndrome is so hard to fight 😂. Have a lovely day !
No, I wouldn’t bother getting these if you have Polychromos and Pablos (although the temptation is real). Had you been brand new to colouring and looking for a starter pencil, then I would have said yes. Thank you so much for watching.
@@MaritsColourfulAdventures thank you so much for your reply ! I'll behave myself then 😄 I really love your work by the way. I did the "halloween miniatures" following your tutorial and if it is not as pretty as yours, I'm happy with what came out 😄
I use a Staedtler Mars tabletop sharpener. I have it linked in the description if you want to have a look ❤️😃 It costs a bit, but it will last you so long, and I’ve never had a broken pencil.
Beautiful! I think the budget pencils are quite good too. I hope you can do one of Rita Berman colouring pages in her Europa book so that we can see your process. I don't have that book but I could tell you which one via Instagram. Is that ok. It is actually the one from Rita Berman's latest Instagram post
@@MaritsColourfulAdventures yes. I think it is. I love your colorings and how you show it in real time, slowly doing the colorings, and not in fast motion is really amazing. The vineyard is one of those coloring pages that is truly amazing. It just gives me a happy feeling seeing those colors comes to life and all the embellishment that people can think of in that coloring page. I would likely buy the book but would love to see how you do it. Thanks so much for replying!

@Marit's Colourful Adventures I say yes! Crayolas are a true budget pencil, and I'd love to see what you can do with them!
Great 😊 I’ll get a good set of those to do the last part with. Thank you so much for your suggestion 💖

🎉Happy birthday 🎉🥳🎊🎁🎂❤️

@@MaritsColourfulAdventures you’re welcome, I hope you had a wonderful birthday
Sure did 🥰 Thank you 💖
I wonder how does it hold up against the staedtler classic pencils as they are about the same price range.
Yes, that could absolutely be an interesting comparison down the track. I’ll be doing Crayola for the last vignette on page.

Do you mean the Tuscan vineyard picture she posted? I can definitely put it on my list for pictures to colour.
