Ashley you are a Potato Planting BEAST !!! Amazing work ethic second to none, very inspirational. As for your editing, wow so many camera angle changes and the fact that you are taking the time to do all those and then the editing on top of it. Very well done. I was hoping to get out to see you plant and pick your brain on planting.... Thanks for sharing
I'm still new on this channel. Managed to get caught up & I'm hooked😁! Your accent i gather is a combination of Canadian & Irish/Scottish? Been to Vancouver, British Columbia and Montreal, Ontario not yet in Nova Scotia/Newfoundland. As i realized there's country folks everywhere on this planet including the cities😀. Here's to an upcoming fruitful harvest season to you & your family Ashley🌞👍....thank you for sharing👏👏
Another spectacular day in the VERY busy life of Ashley. Great video. Makes me want to go out and plant some spuds. Say hi to uncle Mel for me. Inch by inch….😉👍
Another awesome video Ashley. You are a hard working lady. I'd love to have half your energy. Good luck with your farming and keep the videos coming, loves it.
You punched a hard day's work there foe sure, that's a lot of going for one person. The goats aren't much help either according to the amount of seed he ate..keep up the good work Ashley!
You are freakin' awesome and inspiring, Ashley! I really enjoyed your video. I looked it up after watching your story on CBC Land and Sea program! Well done becoming independent off grid. Would you consider people to come and work on your farm for a short time, to learn your methods and to see what it takes to farm and live off grid?
As a fellow avid gardener, I am keenly interested in this subject. I found a neat way to put potatoes in which doesn't require any bending. I use a 3" PVC pipe 4 ft. long & I attached a handle which I fabricated from copper pipe. I use an old shoulder bag which belonged to my wife and fill it with seed. I drop a seed down the tube and every seed falls exactly where I want it to go. It saved my back. I could send a picture if you are interested. Simple is best and this is so simple a device you would be impressed. See you on the next one.
That's good video. I never planted before but from your video I get impression it is hard work but can see joy in things growing. The local No-Frills gave me a couple of packages of seed potatoes last week, about to expire. I have them planted. Only I cut a few of mine in half and planted. Hope it works out. They seem to be coming along fine. If it proves out and I have a trace in farming in me, I may expand each year going forward. Maybe a few chickens next summer. lol 3 or 4
I usually cut my seed in half to when I get big seed..but seed was very hard to come by this year and very small..so no need to cut..chickens are great!
ashley if i grow a carrot, tomatoes, beets, potatoes do not matter i always press the seed into the ground with my boot or hand,i learned this 40 years ago from a man who told me to do this makes a difference
That is a lot of work for one person, Ashley. I felt sorry nobody was helping you. I've planted potatoes by myself but never on that scale. I assume you will be selling them at harvest?
My God, you're a treasure Ashley. Love how you live and where you live.
