#airline #travel #money
This is great news, and I hope the same trend will soon be seen among the international flights, as well. I’ve been eyeing flights to Japan, but the fares have easily been 2x, sometimes even 3x, what they used to be pre-end of the pandemic.
maybe look at some of the international airlines? I booked a round trip from LAX to NRT for $737 last week and it includes 2 checked bags at 23kg each and 1 carryon. Domestic airlines weren’t that far off on pricing either but they were still the most expensive
I'll actually believe it when I see it. I call BS on this piece.
We looked at prices to fly to Florida in February, April and July. Those prices were over $1500 round trip from Albany to Orlando for each ticket.
Look at allegiant I booked a flight from Florida to Detroit for $40 round trip. Buy a bag that meets the requirements it's $20 that will save you hundreds
Bro I just went to Miami RT from ALB for only $215 on Delta.
$300 roundtrip from boston to Orlando ur better off driving there lol
@@Cory69 that is why Spirit is there they offer the same flight for 40 and it forces others to compete maybe they are more but offer more with the ticket
Yeah, I think prices are going to continue skyrocketing. As long as people keep "doom spending" on credit cards they wont pay back anyway, airline tickets are going to continue skyrocketing, at least until people start maxing out their cards and can't make minimum payments anymore.
Dang inflation, happy to see airlines dropping prices. mighty travels premium always finds me the lowest fares
Heard there just adding hidden fees to make it look like That..🤔
Doesn't look like i used to fly to FL for 100 now is almost 400. What it looks like a sale, is that now we pay extra to pick a seat we pay extra to check in luggage we pay extra for carry on even, so they can't call a "sale".
They do a report on this every time it’s a travel season. The prices are not going down they never go down. It’s just like going grocery shopping and then they’re gonna get you for extra fees anyway and every third-party company says that they are the cheapest way to book a flight I travel quite often believe me nobody’s cheaper than the airline itself.
The cost of these airline tickets is astronomical. It’s too expensive. There’s no discount there’s no deal. do you want to discount or a deal reach out to your council members reach out to your senators to your representatives, and tell them to push for high-speed rails. Mag lift trains if need be. This country needs trains that can travel over 250 300 miles an hour for the full duration of the ride. Just like other countries trains can do so.
Just booked tickets for April and nope, not seeing any price drop.
Falling where? I used to get a 600 Dollar ticket from Atlanta to Nairobi but I haven't seen that since 2020.
It’s only cheaper buying your ticket from third parties. I always book direct.
I mean you can definitely do that typically though booking through third-party isn’t really cheaper though like if you are on KAYAK and you see a flight for Delta if you look up that same flight for Delta it’s the same price may be a few dollars more but I just use KAYAK and those type of ones as a search engine. Search multiple Airlines quickly and then I’ll narrow my search from there.
Why? Nobody wants to be stuck in the restroom the entire flight, on a plane where engines fail, or vacuumed out the side of the fuselage?
It’s not a bad thing if airline prices are getting cheaper
Yes, it means people don’t trust the airlines. I know I don’t!
Not the same here in Europe. Prices are crazier than ever.
What?! Prices going down? Not at all. $1600 to Europe this summer is the norm.
This report specifically says it only pertains to US domestic flights.
Yeah... As long as people keep "doom spending" on credit cards that they wouldn't normally be able to afford, airline prices are going to continue skyrocketing...
I just went to Miami from Albany, NY RT for only $215. Very affordable. Took a cruise and flew for less than a grand. If these prices keep up I'll go in April.
Flights are still high. I don't know what their talking about.
Meanwhile the checked baggage is still needed to purchase separately 😂 I miss the old time when checked baggages were included in the fare
For real. At least one checked baggage was free. Now $100 each way per baggage if you're flying international.
I got tickets to Sydney for RT for 806 in October. And to Ireland in March for 318!
Flight prices were very low in 2020 and 2021. I’m NOT seeing prices that low in 2024. Please prove it. :)
I feel like people hearing about doors falling off in flight and other airline mishaps, that bad publicity is making them lower their prices to gain the trust of people to continue flying as well
Where?! I think this is a PR stunt from the airlines. I avoid travelling during the holiday season and always book direct with the airlines.
It's still expensive.
I would rather drive but my alternator is not working 😂
And then people will complain still that it’s more cramped because they added seats
Is this just in the US? US flights are already significantly cheaper.
I don’t know southwest to Tampa is more than I ever paid now
Well its bc is off season. Summer will go right back up
I thought it’s because of Boeing flights failing
Yes it is, don’t fall for it. Some deals are too good to be true
Still high
I have booked flights for $40 deals are out there
For perspective, air fares are about 10x lower than when the public first started flying. LA to NYC used to average $7,000 in today’s dollars.
I'd still pay extra to fly on the concorde. I wish LA to NYC was still a short flight 😭 BRING BACK CONCORDE!!!
In 2006, I paid $750 for a RT between Jacksonville and London via Atlanta on Delta during the 1st and 2nd week of September. I just looked and I can fly the same class ticket on Delta on the same route during the 1st and 2nd week of this coming September for $710.
trying to buy tickets and ITS NOT CHEAPER😭😭
If that's the case, I want my price adjusted after booking a flight last year flight for my trip coming up in April😄
I don’t see different. It’s still expensive 😢
Yah but you gotta pay for the bags
That does take a lot of benefits
Wow competition brings down prices despite evergrowing regulations! Who would have thought!
Good, they have been stupid expensive
They will add a $50 restroom usage fee.
Now more Walmart customers can fly with cheaper flight costs.
Between 2020 and 2023 prices went up 200%. So a 16% drop is not a big deal. These airlines count on the us population not being able to do simple math!! 😂😂
It should be 50% cheaper with doors falling off mid flight 😤😒
😂😂😂😂
Only apply to domestic ?
Fall as fast as a door plug?
Here because system want to apply pressure
is it me or does Katy have that GPS voice
Very bad for the environnement
It does seem that it is more expensive to travel to Japan than I paid last year by approximately 10%. But there's no competition when Japan's such a hot destination.
As they should. Their excuse for raising them was the pandemic, but that is over now, so let's get them prices back to normal.
Better than the planes falling out of the sky😊
Yea call it a door buster sale 😅
1:34 a bird brain talking
Am I the only one happy the year is almost over lol
yeah whatever !
lies
$400 flight americans wow ticket flights are cheap, eruopean 120 euros flights for the same distance wow ticket flights are so expensive.
Competition is good 🎉 no to Monopolies!
16% less value on your life. LOL. Cheaper flights mean less time to quality check your plane.
👀
LIES LIES
When you adjust for inflation? When will my paycheck adjust for inflation? 🤡
I only fly if its in a Airbus 🇪🇺🇪🇺🇪🇺
Bus, doesn’t exactly scream luxury
